Hearing Jazen's comment he made sure to remember it as he noticed as well the bat was quite audible on something. Hearing Laela's comment he only smiled and told the bat, "I think you shouldn't talk about me to your master. She might get distracted."

Laela stood at a stance pullingthe two strangling wires. No matter how mad she swore she wouldnt cut another student out of spite. She pulled the little loop with the hook ont he end of each wire and began to spin them with her wrists causing a bat level hearing whistle. " wouldnt dream of it Namen ! "

"What, too many bats in the belfrey as is?" Garret asked, not looking at him. His attention was turned to the two students. He didn't know much of Laela's skills, but he had caught a glimpse of Namen's. And a glimpse was all he needed to read what tactics she used.

Namen, unlike most humans, could slightly hear the whistling of Laela's wires. Her ears had been trained well. Making the first move, she started rushing toward the other girl, withdrawing her sword from her sheath as she did. When she got close enough, she ducked low and took a swing in the direction of Laela's legs.

Laela spun her cloak sent over Namen as she jumped over the girl. She threw her wires now at Namens bare waistwhere the wire would come round so the hook could catch.

Rain turned and watched the sparing that had started. She sat on the ground again and crossed her arms over her chest. Her dark blue eyes watching intensely.

"Laela has an interesting skill don't you think Garret. She has good attacks at all ranges but Namen is not out of this yet." As he continued to watch the two spar.

"yes, but wires are hard to use in a battle if one is anticipated and doesn't wish to kill. Unless she manages to bind Namen's hands, and that would be by no means easy."

"I think that whips wouldn't even begin to describe those wires." He said aloud, his hands still tucked behind his back. "But Namen's other senses have picked up the slack. Met a guy in the corps. like that. A fellow by the name of Nightingale. His father gouged his eyes out and tried to kill the boy, because he had some precognitive ability. The kid still saw things, but only vague shapes. He relied upon his other senses to do what Namen's doing now."

She wasn't sure exactly what was going on. She sound of the cloak in the air over her head threw her off. It had masked the sounds of the wires. She heard the clinking of the hooks connecting near her back, and then felt the cold wires enclosing on her waist. It would definitely leave bruises if Laela decided to pull. All she could think to do was stick her hands between her waist and the wires and try to push them away from herself while they tightened.

"Your quite right the both of you. Wires are used mostly in assassination but Laela's family is famous for their puppetry skills with them. The extra sensitive senses of Namen will pull her through here as she won't get caught so easily." he told them as he watched the combatants. Seeing Namen's predicament, "but due to her experience it can be quite the opposite."

Laela saw the catch and did pull. She spun the other wire and decided to try something she had never done before. She aimed for Namen's Sword with one of the sharp wires to try and get the sword away. She used the other blunt to try for Namen's Ankles.
