Misao T. Binatica Nihilistic_Impact Say, has anyone here seen someone effectively use a warhammer in a fight? On Gaia, it's nearly impossible without magic, simple melee combat with a warhammer or other two-handed weapon will leave you too open to all the speedster swordsmen and other high-agility characters. Psychology and physics. When using a two-handed weapon such as a warhammer, most players instinctively get into a "HULK SMASH" kind of mentality, wanting to deliver the kind of crushing blows such weapons are generally famed for, and then the sheer inertia of the weapon leaves you open and to defend you've got to do tricky s**t like pivoting your body while placing the part of the handle below your hands to block the vulnerable point most swordsmen will aim for. To use a warhammer against speedy opponents with sharp weapons, you've got to treat it more like a staff with a weight on the end, and thanks to the hammer's weight imbalance it's easier to just use a staff and you'd get about the same results offensive-wise.

Psychofish Hook swords. Hm. I can look into it, but I keep getting the feeling there's something I've sketched or seen recently that would work well.
Hooked Swords require a lot of understanding where your blade will end up and what could happen if you do place it where you wish to. You also must understand your targets weapon to a T when dealing with hooked swords, because it doesnt take much for your world to be turned upside down and s**t on.

Meanwhile in my real thoughts: What the hell is up with my Divx installation? Oh, it must be the Mozilla being open that's having it to take its precious time. I'll be right back.

If you're trying to hurt Vahn I wouldnt do 8,000 volts thats barely a p***k, you need a few more 0's in that equation.

If you're trying to hurt Vahn I wouldnt do 8,000 volts thats barely a p***k, you need a few more 0's in that equation.

Nightsnow A large circular metal ring. Ah, yes, that's a good one too, thought on it but never rp'ed with it. I do a lot of unusual weapons, almost entirely unusual ones, but their mostly odd swords, and I rarely fight much with them anyway, their just a precaution. My PvP is inclusive of only two matches after all, though I've had plenty of fights with NPCs detailed enough to be PvP. EDIT: I've done katars.

Katars are another tricky weapon, you need to be really skilled with H2H before you use these.
