A solid hit. But no strong enough! Hitomi grabbed the branch and flung herself to the next one, keeping herself airborne. She aimed a punch at this one, and let out another roar as she drove her fist at the poor creature. She wanted to explode. She had hurt the only people who really cared about her. The only person she really had left, probably never wanted to speak to her again, and her best friend was a harpy eagle who she wasn't even able to understand completely. She ignored the fact that it wouldn't help anything, but she allowed herself hope that by beating the life out of something --be it herself, if it must-- she could finally find peace.

Hitomi felt the hit connect. It wasn't very good in technique, but it certainly did its job of breaking through the branch. Hitomi reached and grabbed a branch through the splinters, spinning herself around and driving a kick at the first branch, determined to see it splinter. I just couldn't keep it in, huh? I just couldn't wait to ******** up all my work? I am such an IDIOT! She felt an animalistic fire rush through her, adrenaline burning through her veins like someone had injected her with hot oil.

Hitomi was stopped in mid-spin, connecting with the branch perfectly, but not delivering enough force to break through it.Thinking quickly, Hitomi let go of the last branch and spun around the resilient branch using her feet, crouching down on it and launching a kick from her new position, using her push-off force to attack. As her blood boiled, her skin consequently grew cold. Her insides grew cold, as well, until she could practically see the hot glow of her blood coursing through her system. She wanted something. She wanted someone. Her entire life, she'd tried to take things by herself. And then she'd gotten a taste of what it was like to have someone there to share your pain... She missed that taste. She missed belonging.

Hitomi felt the sweet satisfaction of the wood shattering beneath her feet, listening to the sound of the branch splintering. An orgasmic pleasure rippled through her, her fist readying itself to pound into the limb that she was now flying towards. There was no stopping it. She had finally let loose the damper she'd kept on her emotions. They all converted into rage, driving her lightning-quick bursts of thought and their subsequent attacks.

Hitomi never felt herself hit that branch. She couldn't feel anything anymore. She watched in slow motion as the wood broke apart, and as she turned herself around in midair and pushed off what was left of it to force herself at the next target. She rolled forward and drove both her feet at the unsuspecting body. She prepared herself for the impact, already planning out her next attack. Her mind was blissfully quiet... She felt everything and nothing all at the same time. She wanted to stay like this forever. There were only two times in her entire life she'd ever felt like this.

Hitomi felt the branch move with her as she hit it. She coiled her entire body down against it, pushing off in the opposite direction --which happened to be straight up-- This feeling was burned into her memory only two other times. One was far away. She could remember risking her life every night to go see Ki, just to feel this - this peace. It was absolute, It surrounded her, embracing her like a lover, taking every last hurt, every last worry away.

Hitomi flew into the air, leaving the branch to fall to the ground in pieces. And then there's the second time. When Hitomi had broken down and told Chisaki... For a moment she had forgotten regret, fear. Everything... And then the real world came rushing back to her with the most painful, gentlest words that ever made their way into Hitomi's mind. Hitomi spun forward in the air, letting her emotions manifest in one last cry. Three times forward, and she extended her leg as she fell, aiming at one last branch.
