((Uh, I saw no such occurrence, so just edit it in if it never happened and ignore this if it did. xd
In defense of my short post, a day of procrastination has just run out.))
Helmsborough sliced each incoming spike in half with short slices of his blade and advanced on Samuel - and thus, on Siber.

Siber dropped his jaw. He was fast with a staff, but he wasn't that fast. You may not be that fast, Centauri chime in, but I can augment your skill. A lot. "All right, let's do this then," Siber whispered, and began weaving a defensive network about himself with the staff, letting no holes open as he danced towards Jonathan. Being very careful to hold himself between Helmsborough and his target, he launched a series of light blows before jabbing forward in a quick, mighty burst, hoping to penetrate the shield with his blade.

((I... you... the mouth is closed! It's a sentient creature and realized what you were trying last post! It grabbed you. With a claw. Like, not chomp-chomp.))
Helmsborough blocked or parried each of Siber's strikes, deflecting the final one and spinning, swinging his blade around at Siber's neck.

((Oh. Lovely-clear 'twas too. Didn't you describe it grabbing things with its mouth? I seem to recall that.))
Fyrin ducked beneath the claw, rolled, came back up, and tried yet another strategy. This time he fired one single round straight for the dragon's eye. He still needed to find a way to force the dragon to open its mouth, to leave it with no other choice. He needed more ice. Enough ice that the dragon couldn't break through, it would have to breath through or be immobilized. That would be very, very, very hard to achieve. Siber looked like he had tripped, ducking forward under the swing and driving his "spear" upward in an effort to gut Helmsborough. Tell Samuel not to move, Centauri warned him. In a little bit, I'll just burn through what I have left. Start getting someone else ready. Siber passed along the message, repositioning his hands to block the inevitable counter-stroke. I'm seeking my fourth-level Muladhara; are you it? he asked that chakra. A response came floating up in a basso woman's voice. I am. You are afraid for your life. I am. That is my specialty. For the moment, I am otherwise engaged. You will have to defend yourself for some time before I can aid you. Yes, Ma'am. What is your name, if I may ask? Mitrahck. Siber's face was grim, but he began chanting all the same. How was he supposed to keep this up after Centauri left him?

As Siber pressed the attack, Joe dove to one side, then turned and dashed at Helmsborough from his left, driving punches into his shield with the Titan's Fists. Without their Patrons, they were a little bit closer to even ground, especially with the addition of the Fists. "How much longer?" he murmured to Siber.

The dragon had closed its eye to block the shot with its eye skin.
In another item of dragon biology, dragons can't wink. Both of its eyes were closed.

Helmsborough accepted a small cut on his hand to deflect Siber's spear while thrusting at Joe.

"I don't know," he answered, thrusting at Helmsborough's throat, "but I'm about to need a break. This dæmon's power is running out. And don't worry about Samuel."

((There's gotta be something I'm supposed to do with that... but what is it?
Here's a try, then.))
Fyrin leapt forward. The dragon couldn't see - he didn't know what was going on. Time to try to exploit two separate ideas. Simultaneously. He jumped for the dragon's muzzle, with his fire-born arm and hand driving for the dragon's lips to explode within and force the jaws open; the other tried to jam the rifle's barrel into the dragon's nostril and fire. He would stop himself on the dragon's muzzle, holding on below the nostrils but in front of the mouth. Either it would probably hurt itself trying to peel him off, or it would be forced to breath him off. Or it would shake him off and he'd have to try again. That would be okay; the Athena rifle still had 40 rounds left. Paul: Condition: Yellow (Bleeding: Mild) Mana: 89% Athena KR6: <40>/42/22/0/0/0 (Phase Ammo) Glock 26: <12>/11/2/0 (Explosive Ammo)

The dragon snapped its jaws up and down rapidly. As Fyrin's arm entered the dragon's mouth it dissipated, taking away his handhold and launching him into the air.

Fyrin grunted in frustration. No firing angle. The shot into the nostrils had done nothing and he was moving beyond. He should close the dragon's eyes again, but not until he had a better plan that involved something more critical. The dragon was too heavy to be manipulated, and furthermore was too smart to be out-witted. It had probably lived as long or longer than Fyrin, and had the advantage by that dint as well. In other words, he was fighting a completely losing battle. Now he had one ace left. The dragon had to have a soul. It had to be there somewhere, and he just hadn't checked for it. If he found it, it would probably be a struggle to take it from the dragon, but whatever struggle he might have would be less than the dragon's, since the dragon would have never defended himself from such an attack as this. Presumably.
First, though, Fyrin had to find its soul. Perhaps he would even see an emotional weakness there...
