I've done detasseling. I never want to do that again. sad It's the only real job I've had. Other times during the summer I was sick or traveling. I've just.. never picked one up.
XD I guess transferring to college won't be that bad, I've grown used to being poor.

Well, detassling is taking tassels off of corn. When the corn grows, the tassels need to be removed so that new corn can't start growing mid-season. It leeches the nutrients from the soil, so they have people 14+ who are willing to be paid minimum wage with no contest hop on machines and take tassels off one by one. You get up at 4 in the morning, get chilled to the bone because the corn is wet, you end at about 2 in the afternoon soaked in your own sweat.

XD Wow. Go ahead, I'm never getting on that machine again. I got dehydrated and fatigued. Worst three weeks of my life. sweatdrop I just wanna be a teacher and settle down with a slightly muscled nerd who may or may not dabble in computer programming.
