I loved The Last Airbender, but I saw the new one and I immediately thought, 'I'm not going to let anything ruin The Last Airbender'. So I'm not watching it until somebody provides me with an outstanding recommendation.

Well I am enjoying both series right now. I can tell you that the new one has more detailed animation than the last one. I can also tell you that It does not seem to be a series that will last as long as the last one did. Also, emphesis is not put as much on the Avatar as in the first series. This is probably due to the fact that she was not brought in as a "Hope for the world" like Aang was. Other than these things I cannot tell you much other than It is not a series where you have to watch the first one to understand it. I mean, watching the other one helps as there are characters referenced that they do not explain who they are, but this is usually not important.

So I'm not watching it until somebody provides me with an outstanding recommendation. Watch Korra. I've been an Avatard since the first season, and I love Korra. I don't think you will be disappoint.
