Mai's face fell into a strange simpathetic look. "Are you retarded?"

Mai raised an eyebrow. "I take it back, you didn't kidnap me. You're too stupid. So....why am I here?"

"What condition? I have no idea what you're talking about." Mai replied in a tired voice.

Mai rolled her eyes. "Well yeah. I was walking to the store to buy tea for my mother and I...well..It kinda gets a little fuzzy after that."

Mai furrowed her brow seriously trying to remember. After a few minutes she shook her head. "Nope. Never heard of it. Why?"

Mai breathed in deep. "Alright. If you want me to trust you, then you have to extend me some trust. Let me out of this thing."

Movement stirred after a enough minutes to seem like an eternity to those waiting in the hole ground out by Ifuuki's last rampage. Kira moved over to the crater with her hand on her sword, though she still carried Kasa's limp body on her shoulder.

The dust began to settle as Onryou dragged himself out of the pit, one of his arms dangling uselessly by his side. The metal chest plate that had been wearing was gone and there was a hole torn in his shirt, a fresh scar still healing up over his right lung. Fresh blood was drying in his face, having come from his mouth, nose and ears, his gate was also awkward enough to suggest that one or more of his ribs and bones in his legs were broken

yet in his good arm however he dragged the corpse of Ifuuki, her body shrunk down to normal size, her clothes also in tatters. She did not move or breath and Onryou threw her forward as he said, "Watch that," to Kira before turning to Tobasu as he whipped much of the blood on his face on the sleeve of his working arm. "Who are you?"

"He was here for a moment earlier," Kira said as she also starred down Tobasu. "He did not help Ifuuki by attacking you, but he did not say for certain where his loyalties lie."

"Well if they lie with the bakufu I think he would have run already," said Tenka as he approached through the brush, his voice the only warning prior to appearance to his coming. he looked very much worse for the wear, his clothes shredded in many places, his skin covered in lacerations, his right leg in a tourniquet and his left arm in a make shift brace, but it was clear that the massive attack Eiju unleashed on Tenka could have done much worse to him.

"I sensed Eiju fleeing and it seems that with Ifuuki defeated, Eiju in retreat, none of the elemental orbs to defend her and Kasairyuu slung over Kira-chan's shoulder the bakufu was been routed in all meanings of the word." Tenka stopped once he stood astride Kira and Onryou, completing their trio.

"Yet it seems not without it's costs," Onryou said as his eyes narrowed in response to the wailing coming from their side. "Tenka, you watch Ifuuki's body, if she moves incinerate her, I don't care if there is anything left. Kira, you watch for other hostiles and keep an eye on this man here."

Onryou walked off towards the grieving that he heard.....

Ayame knelt near Shinji's body and watched as Ganeni and Rin-Tao wept hysterically over their fallen comrade's body. For them to grieve so, he must have been a great friend, as close as blood, she thought to herself as she swept her hand down his face, closing his eyes.

She turned to the two crying friends, the blood Shinjiand said, "I know you are still grieving, but I feel this is the utmost importance. This man, he gave me his last wishes before he died and I am honor bond to see them fulfilled, in my land, it is believed that if a person's soul is held back by their dying wishes remaining unattended to, they will languish in limbo. I must speak with a Rin-Tao and a Ganeni and most importantly, to Shinji's brother. He had....private words for all of them, as well as a gift for his kin."
