my day wasn't too good. Woke up last night at 3 am. and then spent an hour with my rear to the toilet and my face to a trash can xp . I think I had a stomach viruse or food poisaning. All I know was that it was not a great night for me. I'm now in a half and half stage. I feel better then before, but not fully well at the same time.

Hope i kick this sickness out soon.

Mom: "What would you guys like for Christmas?"

Me: "Meagan would like a Wii Fit."

Mom: "What about you?"

Me: "Well, let's just say it's for both of us."

November.

Mom: "Have you thought about what you'd like for Christmas?"

Me: "Yes, we'd like a Wii Fit."

Mom: "A Wii... Fit?"

Me: "Yeah, it's an accessory for the Wii."

Mom: "That's for both of you?"

Me: "Yep."

One week ago.

Mom: "I need to know what to get you for Christmas."

Me: "We'd like a Wii Fit."

Mom: "Is there anything else you'd like, in case I can't find one."

Me. "..." "Highlander: Season One."

Two days ago.

Mom: "I can't find a Wii Fit anywhere and they want almost double the price for them online and I don't know how to use Ebay!"

Me: "This is why I told you about it in October."

Mom: "YOU DID NOT!"

Me: rolleyes

Mom: "OK, maybe you did, but I can't find one! Maybe I could just give you the money... WAIT! YOU! You have connections!"

Me: "There's no such thing as the mafia."

Mom: "STOP THAT!" (Insert smack here.) "You find all sorts of weird stuff. You managed to get a Wii after looking for all of five minutes. You can find one and I'll pay you back!"

Me: "So you want me to get my hands on one of the most sought after items anywhere during the Holiday season, and then get it to you so you can give it back to me for Christmas, without Meagan knowing?"

Mom: "Yes." (At this point I found the fact that I RP Jaeger Ayers to be highly ironic.) "Oh and I have no idea where to find that Highlander thing you asked for."

Me: "Mom, your office is across the street from a Best Buy."

Mom: "They have DVDs?"

Three hours ago.

Me: "It's done."

Mom: "WHAT?! How did you find one? How much did you pay?"

Me: "It was $89.99."

Mom: "I couldn't find one anywhere."

Me: "Well, you can find one in my car right now."

So, yeah. I've gotten to the point in my life where I'm buying my own Christmas presents and giving them to other people to give back to me. The Wii Fit is sitting unopened in a closet right now waiting for me to execute some clandestine plan to ferry it to my mother's where she will then wrap it and look like an amazing shopper to the entire family. While they all marvel at her consumer cunning and purchasing prowess, I will sit there, watching my girls and nieces play and giggle, drink a cup of coffee and roll my bloodshot eyes at the whole charade.

I did that one year but it was an espresso machine and my Starbucks discount. Call me crazy, but I enjoy the opening of the presents like five times more than finding out what's inside.

I do that to some friends, Linda.... I have friends that "buy themselves whatever they like when they have money."

And if i end up buying them something they'll like I'll be going to the store and returning it in a week because they'll have it already. Least they're nice enough to say "Hey, I just bought (insert item)!!! isn't that cool?!"

I have the exact opposite problem sometimes. My lady friend has been threatening to buy me a $1000 oni ring. gonk
