Azura Cantarella
Sheena sighed exasperatedly. "We've dawdled here way too long. Now get dressed. It's about time we make some progress on this journey." She turned and stood outside the doorway to wait, just closing the door down to a crack so Zelos could have his privacy fixing up.

Colette dried her eyes with her sleeve, as did Azriel. Pushing aside their depression, they looked up at Rhone and smiled, simply answering with, "Right," and nodding.

Eloysio had taken to the air again from the sudden shift in movement, then settled down upon the arm of the couch Azriel was once in. He made a half-smile at the scene, sighed wistfully, and lied lazily on his back to stare at the ceiling while waiting for Sheena and Zelos.

While Azriel was close to Rhone, Chiaro and Oscuro stared off in the direction they could "sense" Eloysio. They then began to call out for him.

"Master Eloysio, can you hear us?"

"Is it something you wanna talk about?"

Eloysio made a soft chuckle and smiled as he continued staring at the ceiling, seeming to trace something in the air with his finger. He then replied telepathically, "No, no. It's not necessary, my dears. I'm not going to dampen the mood any further. Besides...that end was hopeless. I should just leave it behind me." ^_^

Zelos lazily gets out of bed, without pants, and opens his dresser.
"Fine, fine...I'll get dressed then..."

Rhone releases his two friends and smiles widely.
"I'm glad you guys see it that way. So...where are we heading next?" ^_^

Regal stands up and pops his neck.
"yes..where to next?"

Uriel Ledon

((It was already decided you'd go find Genis. But I don't blame you for forgetting since IT WAS SO LONG AGO HINT HINT!!! Honestly I'm 2 inches from having Uriel burst in through the doors and start godmodding and cutting throats..... *recomposes* OK I'm good. So, yes, "Where to next?" Sorry about that. It's just.... well I entered August 17th and now it's September 4th and you're still in the house, against your own wishes. Which is absurd. Enough with the pleasantries and get on with it. Please just someone take the lead and set foot into the outside sun!))

(That was unnecessary. And why didn't you just have Uriel knock on the door?)

((...

I understand your frustration, Uriel, but such a reaction was uncalled for. We go through these "pleasantries" because it's what the characters would do and how things would naturally flow. None of these characters have the godly sense to figure out that somebody's waiting outside for them. Anyway, I agree with Vance up there. You're gonna be waiting long when you go with the "wait for them to come to me" approach. Have your character try to slip in on the action themselves. Gets things over with faster.))

Kratos slightly raised a brow, wondering how they hadn't heard or remembered Sheena's words earlier. "Sheena had said that her scouts brought her updated reports of Genis' whereabouts. He is currently in Palmacosta, so that is our next destination," he spoke up.

"Sheena....oh, that's right," Eloysio mumbled, then got back up to fly over to his stack of papers. "Hm...Azriel, would you please carry these notes for me in your pack while we travel?"

"Oh, of course Master Eloysio." ^_^ She now made her way to the coffee table to take the papers and roll them up before stashing them in her knapsack.

Finally sure that Zelos was up and moving, Sheena left the doorway to join the others back downstairs. As soon as she reached the living room, she was met by Eloysio fluttering up to her face.

"Er, Excuse me, Miss Sheena." He made a slight polite bow where he hovered. "You practice the art of Summoning, correct?"

"Please, just call me Sheena. And yes, that's right..."

"This seems like quite the favor to ask...but if I indeed recall what I've last read of that art, you have obtained rings that symbolize the pact you have with the Spirits, correct?"

"Yes..." She began to make a narrow-eyed slight look of apprehension. "I'm guessing you want something to do with them...?"

"I merely want to examine them, Sheena. sweatdrop That's all. I'm not going to cast my charms on them or anything of the sort. You have my word."

After a moment of careful thought, she reached behind herself and procured a small velvet pouch where she stored the rings. "Alright... But wait, does this have something to do with what you're trying to do for Azriel? How?"

"It is, eh...hard to explain. But you will see in due time." Pointing his wand at the pouch, he began to pick it up telepathically and carry it over to Azriel for her to store in her own pack as well.

((I'm sorry I'm sorry. Me and no sleep equals disaster. I just didn't realize that you'd be in the house that long. Because you did say that you were tired of the house.. Can we maybe, please, just skip ahead a little bit? I would appreciate it very much. Thank you. Honestly when I do something jerkish just tell me. I could really benefit for some practice with patience.... Sorry again.))

((Please tell me if my info sounds wrong. sweatdrop ))

Schwarz came down stairs and was worried to see the look that his brother was giving him.

Oro decided to let his brother go, "What's Palmacosta like?" he asked, having never been there.

Raine answered, "The port city of Palmacosta was originally the largest city in Sylvarant in both military and economics. That is till the giant tree rampage. After the two worlds came back together, it's slowly been rebuilt. and is now the third largest city after, Flanoir, and here Meltokio."

"Wow, impressive."

"Who cares if it's impressive. Ports mean sailors and that usually means lots of pub and bars, which usually means strong liquor!!!"

"... how many times have I told you that's a stereotypical look at ports and it's people..."

"Stereotypical my wolfish face! Race ya there, last one there buys the winner's drinks."
With that the wolf hopped off through the hole.

Oro rolled his eyes as he pawed his way next to Raine, "As if I'm racing him. He doesn't even know where Palmacosta is."

Raine looked at the hole in the wall, "Zelos, how long do you plan to live with that hole?"

~

Schwarz was continuously watching behind himself as he ran, causing the silver pup to ram into the leg of a male elf. He yelped out in surprise, and backed up to see what he ran into, he tilted his head and wagged his tail, trying to act friendly.

Zelos soon steps out of his bedroom fully dressed with a yawn.
"alright, alright, I'm up....Okay, we're going to Palmacosta, right? Let's get going."
He then looks over at Raine.
"Oh, that...I'll have my butler take care of it. He knows people."

Rhone picks up his coat off the chair and puts it on. After examining it for a moment, he grins.
"Not bad, not bad....appreciate the help, Sprite. This is incredible work... Once this is over, you outta settle down and become a tailor. You could make some real money with this level of craftsmanship."

He then walks through the now open door and spots someone standing outside.
"Hey! Newcomer! Need somethin'?"

((Sounds about right to me, Lee. :3))

Eloysio's ears twitched at this new nickname Rhone had just called him. Sprite. That was a similar word for "fairy", but at least it wasn't such a feminine term. He blinked as he momentarily eyed Rhone, then returned to his own thoughts. "...Tailoring? But...I've always held more interest in sorcery..." he softly mused to himself. As the others were finally setting foot outside the house, he figured he would settle within Azriel's pack (a shoulder bag, really) so that he could examine the Pact Rings as they traveled along.

"Master Eloysio, are you sure you're comfortable in there?" sweatdrop She left the flap open so that her little mentor could have some air.

"I'm fine. Carry on." ^_^

Sheena followed after Zelos and Raine, then Colette and Kratos after them. Azriel, still a little apprehensive about being out in the open where she might be recognized, followed carefully behind Kratos in the hopes that his height would shield her from view.

((Oh and I finally got around to the design update of Eloysio like I've been meaning to. So from now on, he's always looked like this, not that crap piece of art I used to have up for him. xd ))

((THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Oh I really like the art btw. You have an eye for character designs. That's never been a talent of mine. I usually end up mix-matching a bunch of known characters sweatdrop ))

Uriel quivered at the sight of this large group. They certainly had numbers on their side. But then he relaxed a bit, assuming that the enormous mana consumption must have been divided amongst all of them, and that individually, they may even be less strong than himself. But what sort of sorcery could this lot be up to that would require so many people and so much of their power? Some dark ceremony? Summoning of the dead? Several cult theories ran through his head, were disregarded, then replaced by another, more obscure conjecture.

Although these questions interested him, they were swiftly forgotten when a gleaming stone caught Uriel's eye, peripherally. Luck was shining brightly upon him; the girl he was searching for lay in his reach. But with this many guards... He decided to stick to his earlier idea of a friendly approach. He would wait until she was week and make his move.

Casually, Uriel hurried over to the lot. "Wow, both Chosens, right where I am! It is an honor to see you, both of you," he announced in his most flattering voice. "Who are your friends? I've heard stories of the regeneration of the world but I don't recall anything about them. Are you on another journey?" Uriel, as he was constantly traveling, never heard much of news. The only news he payed any attention to were job and task requests. So if these unfamiliar people were known to the public, he genuinely had no clue about them. Still, he couldn't help feeling maybe they would see him as too inquisitive and defensively try to avoid the conversation. An intense urge to smack his own forehead for talking so much before receiving a response arose but he buried it in other thoughts. Perhaps they would see him as another Chosen fanatic and regard it as being star-struck.

Rhone's eye twitches for a moment before he approaches Uriel.
"You sound nice enough, but you should reeeeally be courteous enough to talk to the one who addressed you. You ignored both me and the pup down there."
Zelos walks behind Rhone and smacks him on the back with his palm.
"Aww, give the kid a break! He wants to speak to the chosen!"
"Why you little.."
Zelos strides past Rhone and walks up to Uriel.
"I see you're aware of who I am...what might your name be?"

Regal follows the others outside. Once he sees Uriel, he glances over towards Colette.
"He seems to know who you are....do you know this person?"
PostPosted: Sun Sep 05, 2010 9:41 pm

I'll find what I've been searching for...

The response question nearly took Uriel off guard. These people are protecting the girl with the strange gem, and yet they're so open? Uriel thought to himself. That's certainly not in her best interest.

"Uhm my name?" Uriel stammered, sounding as if the question actually required any thought, "It's uhm.. Uriel. Uriel Ledon." He didn't want to spend any time with the others but it seemed there was no other way to get close to the girl. He would have to be very direct.... and why should he be talking to a mutt anyway? What an odd request.

Uriel paced over to the girl he had been secretly eying since he started moving toward them, who by now had started off, trying to conceal herself with the transparent air. Well, that and the large man beside her. He asked with a fake smile,"That's a very pretty stone you have. What's your name?"

But presently, he forgot the girl and payed attention to the auburn-haired man who was inspecting him. His mana signature was not that of a half-elf nor a pure-blood. Was he human? In any case he carried an elegant sword by his hip, and his hand never left the hilt as he walked, tall straight, and constantly prepared for an attack. If all the ground beneath and around him was to collapse instantaneously, Uriel had no doubt the man would jump just before and avoid danger. This stranger spotted Uriel's examination and turned his head skyward.

...Whatever that is.

Schwarz and Oro's animal instinct was beginning to get the better of them. They both had a feeling that this Uriel had ill intent towards someone in the group. Oro made a quick analysis, Azriel being the most likely with the bounty on her head. The question about the jeweled collar just added to the flames.

Schwarz reading his brothers movements pawed his way over to Azriel's feet and sat down and began to pant, trying to act casual. Until the elf tried something they have to stay in their pup forms, and no speaking in normal tongue.

Oro sniffed Uriel's feet acting curious, he would have never done something so degrading otherwise.

((is that borderline godmodding? Oh well whatever. I guess it's ok since he didn't just jump up right away and tell the others.))

Uriel looked annoyed and slowly turned his head toward the ground. User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Uriel, agitated, exclaimed, "I hope that dog likes the scent of mud and cat urine." He nudged the creature away with his boot, trying not to seem rough but showing the dog "who is boss" as a childhood friend once taught him.

"Uhm.. so about tha---" Uriel's voice, already weak at the start of the sentence, trailed off as he became distracted by the scampering pup prancing around his feet. His mouth was half open, and his eyes confused and glaring watched the animal circle.

((I don't see it as borderline godmodding, as long as they didn't, well, call him out on it.))

Colette whispered back to Regal, "Um...no, I don't know him...but I guess word of us just spread so widely." She was about to step forth to politely greet Uriel, but he seemed to have shifted his attention elsewhere.

Sheena and Kratos' eyes narrowed as they silently watched Uriel pass by from the corner of their eyes. Sheena's own defensive instincts were also starting to kick once he expressed interest in the collar on Azriel's neck. Kratos' were as well, but he was calmer about it than Sheena. The young chief of the ninja village folded her arms, as that put her in a position ready to pull out the seals in her sleeves if this Uriel tried anything funny. The seraph, unmoving, maintained his posture, his hand never leaving the hilt of his sword, as the elf had observed.

Chiaro and Oscuro engaged in restless conversation in Azriel's mind as they observed the situation through her eyes.

"...Oscuro, soul reading."
"I gather...complicated feelings within. Searching for something..."

They watched as Uriel seemed to go straight for Azriel...and heard the question he posed. That got them narrowing their eyes in suspicion as well. If there was an immediate interest in the collar, they were sure of what potentially could follow.

"Bingo."
"He probably knows...probably hopes to claim the bounty..."
"Hey, 'least we caught wind of this beforehand. Saves us from another berserk rage of yours."
"Still, how to deal if he hangs around us..."

Staying quiet, Eloysio peered up at Uriel from where he was sitting in Azriel's shoulder bag, adjusting his monocle. He was listening in on the conversation of Azriel's otherselves and was getting the same vibes. But he interrupted them in telepathy, discreetly smirking as he turned his attention back to the Pact Rings. "Settle down now...I've always got Azriel covered."

Chiaro and Oscuro had a moment of realization at his words.

The latter grinned. "Ah, that's right. Master Eloysio's got her back."
"And so does everyone else here," the former added.

The entire time, Azriel was hesitant to speak, growing even more nervous once Uriel brought up his question. But after listening to the rabble going on in her head, she began to feel her confidence rise, but just by a little bit. As she tucked her wings in tighter, she put her hand to her neck, covering up the jewel on her collar as if in defense. Stepping out from behind Kratos, but only partly, she answered, "I-I'm...Azriel Serafina. And what about this...this 'stone'?" User Image
PostPosted: Mon Sep 06, 2010 9:37 am

Uriel could feel her apprehension as if it were a weight on his back. "Oh uh nothing about it. It's just interesting. I don't always focus on the same thing for very long.... you might have noticed," he replied, grasping at straws for an answer. "So uhm something split up like that just catches y'er interest for a little longer, ya know? 'Cause of the pieces." He tried pointing to the gem, but she withdrew and stepped behind the swordsman.

Still, Uriel was confident with his save. It was true that he had problems with focusing, and the collar was indeed interesting. Besides, if she asked why he chose to talk to her, he could just say it was because she seemed shy and he just wanted to be open. But he decided it would be safer to turn his attention to the others, the people he knew something about. It would be understandable that he would be curious about the new people with the Heroes of World Regeneration, but it would seem odd if they were the reason he came over here.

"So that dog there - does it have a name?," he asked Sylvarant's Chosen, "Looks like a Poochy to me. Or maybe a ChiChi!"
