Not Kamina Conqueredd Hey, everyone. I'm Conqueredd. Nice to meet you all. I am in love with Fire Emblem, ever since I got Fire Emblem 9. Currently, I've been trying to play a lot of the old ones, since I finished the Radiance arc. So... I suppose my favorite character would be... Rolf, maybe? He's just so adorable... biggrin Maybe Shinon, because of his sarcasm... And his general lovability. 3nodding Truthfully, I just have a thing for any tiny, lithe character with a lot of power: Sothe, Soren, Lute, Rolf, Shinon, Mia, Edward, Leonardo, Marisa, Innes, Gordin, Matthew, Klein (Fuin no Tsurugi). 6 archer/snipers 2 mages 2 rogues 3 Myrmidons And I forget what Mia is. Escapes me right now.. I hate archers. Except Shinon. And since Volke or any other assassin isn't on that list, I deem you crazy. The ability to OHKO nearly any unit is amazing, plus they all have awesome speed. Are there other assassins past Volke? And I never liked him much. Very... Dunno. He just always irked me. He's pretty unloyal... And it's very possible to get by without him, so... You know. I get on without him. I have a thing for archers, though, so I officially deem it my divine right to convert you to the school of Archery Fandom. 3nodding P.S. I love Mia. Her crush on Ike is adorable (as is her crush on Rhys... that I kinda-sorta made up...). 4laugh

You've got Assassins like Jaffar. You can make Legault a pretty bad a** one. Pretty much anyone you make an assassin in FE8 does good, mainly because it's FE8.. But yeah. Pretty much anyone who's an assassin is a really good character

Volke... has thief utility in FE9, which is nice. And fabulous growths so he can be a fabulous Assassin, I agree.
But in FE10, he comes RIGHT before endgame, and truthfully, he's not just unnecessary, he's a waste of space for endgame. Especially since you're, unfortunately, forced to take Sothe as it is and Knives just don't cut it. Especially since the SS Knife has only 1 range. And even if you do take him, endgame takes, what, 12-15ish turns to entirely finish? So he's around for all of 12-15 turns and an additional chapter. :/
Jaffar has good offense, and that's about all. And promoting Legault/Matthew takes AWAY their Thief utility, which sucks. :/
And I always thought the utility Rogues had outweighed any advantages Assassin offered.
It's just.... I see it as a shitty class in general because it's something like an inferior Swordmaster without a crit boost.
