Great, now the guy finally gets what he deserves. That, I'm very happy about. And a ROOF?! Oh my rawr. that's just insane. And just why would someone lie, when there's EVIDENCE they've done a crime? Because they're stupid, duh rawr. Sissy Blade Welp! Pookie's idiot brother is arrested! (Note that Mr. Boyfriend was at work, so he's telling me what he knows.) Full story... er, well, long story short: He was sleeping on a friend's roof. Yes, a ROOF. So, someone spots him and contacts his mom. Mom pretends that she doesn't know about the whole thing, and lets him come home... WHICH HE DOES, THE FRICKIN' IDIOT. She manages to call the cops. HUGE SQUAD COMES TO POOKIE'S RESIDENCE. Moron bro practically pisses himself and tries to lie, cops don't buy it. Oh, and how is Pookie taking it, you may ask? HE IS ELATED. He's now set to just... well, toss confetti and basically say "Aloha!" Oh, and there's evidence of him stuffing his aunt's stolen stuff in a cab. VIDEO AND AUDIO EVIDENCE OF HIM AND HIS FRIEND DOING IT. Yeah. Goodbye. Goodbye! GOODBYE!GOODBYE!*calmly drinks water*

As sad as it sounds, I'd say it must be a huge relief that your boyfriend's troublesome brother is finally getting what he deserves. Hopefully this will be a load off your shoulders!

Chibi Halo One week until I leave for Colorado. Getting excited for this trip. So hoping this will give my creativity a kick in the pants. Of course I'll be on the road for my birthday, which happens to be in the middle of the most awesome meteor shower of the year and I'll be in the best place to see it too. Just hope the area we're going to be in isn't too urban for it because all I remember of the last time I was out in Colorado was the amazing night skies. Then again, Dillon is higher and more rural than the metro Denver area so it was as though you could reach out and grab those stars.
So that is pretty much true. Maybe it's because of the altitude or something? I've always heard that it looked like you could touch the sky in Colorado, so curious me would like to visit that state one day because of that.

I'm halfway done with my essay! I decided not to make any rough drafts any more, since I think it's a bit of a waste despite that it would be helpful..

I'd wager that it has something to do with the altitude and the thinner air. Plus, where my sister was living at the time was in a pretty rural area of Colorado in the good ski resort areas so it was even higher up than Denver.

Ah. I didn't know that there was a higher area than Denver. I guess it's because it's a well known city, people assume that *that* city has the highest altitude. ...And now Mr. Boyfriend wants to visit there one day because he's a Broncos fan. xp

I put the workstation build aside to work on the vintage computer build. That system wasn't worked on for at least five months. Managed to get another PCI card that will be better suited for the system (that ironically came with the workstation motherboard), but I really misplaced it. :/ It was the Ark Technologies version of the Diamond Stealth 64 PCI video card.
The vintage system will run Windows for Workstations 3.11 under DOS 6.22. Managed to set up three hard drives for this PC (all old-school ones, of course biggrin ) so the capacity of those follows: Maxtor 270AV (270MB), Conner CFS420A (420MB), and Western Digital 2340 (341MB). I don't particularly trust the Western Digital hard drive because the power (Molex) connector on the hard drive's PCB keeps breaking and I would have to solder it back again and again. Heck, I had to do so again yesterday! So I moved the 341MB drive from being the main drive, and the Maxtor 270MB drive takes its place as a result.
I also have to move some vintage files off three drives, but I can only remember two of them. sweatdrop
Even funnier thing: I have two Fujitsu 8GB hard drives and installed them together in the vintage build. One of those drives was loud enough, but two... You could hear them in another room, even from another floor. lol

So it's no wonder that the stars seemed brighter, closer, and more abundant there.

A moment of silence please, everyone, my dear, sweet sneakers have tragically come to an end. It was far too soon and they took far more punishment than was needed. Almost an entire year of hard, grueling work and being run over, rammed, stubbed, and generally abused on a daily basis. And now they shall rest as soon as a new pair takes up their task.
In the meantime, BOOTS! ALL OF THE BOOTS! ALSO ALL OF THE STEEL-TOE!
