Seishin's eyes opened suddenly releasing a purple glow from them. Avoice Unlike Seishin's own commanded his tongue as Kojin spoke aloud in a godlike voice, "There are other forces at work here."

"I see" Kegawa narrowed his eyes as he gazed out across the battlefield. The new storm that plagued the land troubled him. After moments of comtemplation he gazed towards Seishin onec more. "Do something about this wind will you."

In a sudden motion, Seishin was upon his feet in a mid-wide stance. His arms we're held before him outstretched, his fists side by side. Like the dome around him his eyes pulsed with Kojin's energy as he focused Seishin's elemental ability of wind manipulation. His hands opened, palms down, becoming flat. He slowly spread his arms out slowly recieving resistance from the other force at work, causing the storm. Kojin grunted as he tried once more, concentrating solely on Seishin's ability. Slowly the span of his arms before him widened inch by inch, as his eyes burned with a purple flame. Suddenly his arms snapped open widening before him, banishing the wind from the land, as if pushing it aside. He remained in the pose as he gritted his teeth. "At this distance, this is all that can be done. I have given them cover from the wind and its wrath but I will not be able to hold it for a great deal of time. Hopefully, Issilda and Sin wrap this up quickly."

(((Alright then)))

Immediately Issildia's blade Nyththirren leapt forward to catch Khastur's own weapon in a shower of white sparks.
"You are being used as nothing more than a tool Khastur. Do you think my father intends to grant you whatever he promised when you agreed to become his puppet?"
Issildia then stepped back, drawing her sword away and putting a short distance between them.

As patterns of blue and red light cast by the fire around them, flickered over their faces, Issildia spoke once again to try and stop this duel before one of them was slain.

"If you truly wish for this utopia of yours to come to pass...if you wish to kill me...then let it be your choice Khastur ...not a decision made by outside forces. I know that somewhere inside you, the man that was not afraid to stand alone against his foes still exists. Someone who did not fear taking on an endeavor that could mean his end...because if the worst came to pass...even his death would mean something...and would merit a change within the world."

Catching his gaze she continued on, reciting the same words he had once told her long before the battle at Faltora and all the events that had followed after.

"We each have our reasons, be it revenge...or for justice; we ourselves define the purpose in our actions; no action is without purpose. We have more to defeat than Reinsen true, but what will happen if we let him or Luin control this world? That would be the greatest sin to commit...To just...Give up. Too many depend on us now, we can't tell them all we're stopping because we don't...see the point..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Adenia neared her opponent, the black scaled dragon she rode released a jet of ebony flames woven with indigo hues at Marley and his steed.
Her blade was held off to the side to remain ready should he escape the inferno.
~The man only glanced at his acquaintance as the wind around him suddenly shifted, swirling around him and picking up the dust on the ground at the same time. His eyes still hidden by the hat he wore, he only made a slight shift of his head to look at Niobe.~
On the contrary my dear, I have only regained a bit of myself in the destruction of those imposters. It is you who cannot see the truth. Even though I have worked for others to achieve my ideals, what you fail to realize is my bretheren stand with me, and I with them. All others are slaves to our will.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 23, 2006 5:54 pm
"Your bretheren? Ha. Alliances are a waste of time. The end of your extistance would mean little to them. You are a pawn! Wake up and see you are being used!"
Bretheren rolleyes He used to be so much more aware.......or was he always like this and has it been I who hadn't noticed this aspect of him?
The sudden, harsh winds of the area did not go unnoticed by the pale woman.
"You've indeed grown stronger, but of increased wisdom I see none. What is strength without the knowledge of its best use? You had so much potential to be more than you are!"
~The man only smirked at her words. It had seemed that in the years that they had been separated from one another, Niobe had forgotten his true nature. She had forgotten just how deep his influence and his resolve can affect another. She w had sensed his aura, but was oblivious to the fact that even now, she was only a pawn on a greater game. Even their meeting was orchestrated, but who was the master of this event, that remained a mystery to all parties involved.~
I am disappointed in you Niobe. You are completely oblivious as to the identity of the true enemy. Your agression is misplaced child. Since you seem to have forgotten, allow me to enlighten you to the nature of Death's Messenger.
Khastur suddenly felt light headed, the winds dying immediately as he fell to one knee, his heart began to ache as he felt a thousand memories flying at him at once.
A Ryeran scout decided to break the silence "So, it seems Lord Nevar is coming here, then?" Another replied back harshly "Don't you call that a*****e a lord! The man has gone mad with power-- It doesn't matter what we say, they're going to try to kill us all for our 'betrayal'."
A third chuckled, "Indeed! Nevar strikes like a blind man! The dog stole his meat and he beats the post with his cane!" Khastur and the group laughed. One of the smaller scouts clenched his fist and stood up, "Hey but we'll show 'em what's for right? We've got Khastur on our side! I bet he could decimate half of their puny army with his bare hands!"
Khastur clenched his left fist and smiled.
Khastur's sword clattered to the ground as he gripped at his head, his eyes growing hot and wet as cold sweat ran along his brow, he was a hero. That's all he wanted, to be his own man and fight for his beliefs..But who worshipped him now? No one would say Khastur a hero if they had seen him now. A booming voice shattered the thoughts in his head "Put aside your selfish desires child, your work is not done-- far from it. Get up. Kill the girl." His other knee dropped, Khastur gripping at his sides as his head bent low, moaning in agony.
The man in grey stood stood before a smiling Luin, with six wizened old men on each side. "It would seem we have found a diamond in the rough...We have much use for you...Khastur." Khastur nodded slowly, a grin spreading across his face as the soldiers behind him slapped at his back in congratulations. "Can you do it, Khastur?" Khastur stood proudly and pumped a fist into the air "I can...I will! I will save my new homeland, and defeat Reinsen Nevar!"
Khastur slowly but surely clawed at his armor, tearing off his chestplate to reveal a festering red mass on his chest, he flung his head beack and leaned to expose his sternum "Issildia! Stab me, do it now!"
Khastur charge foward, his body colliding with Reinsen and bringing both of them to the ground, his sword was thrown aside in the process and Khastur struck hard tooth and fist, pummeling Reinsen's face with his gauntlets. Reinsen took his sword enraged and ran Khastur through. Khastur coughed blood all over, his eyes fluttering, his only thought was to take Reinsen with him. He collapsed into Nevar and held him down tight, Nevar's sword buried into Khastur to the hilt. He managed to choke out a semblance of words "I-ssildiaaaA! Run your sword through us both-- kill Nevar!"
Khastur's pupils dilated as he looked into the sky, his arms dropping behind him, his mouth going slack as small gasps came from him-- a ripping feeling coming from his insides. "Hurry...."
A line of priests stoof before Khastur, in the center was a vase adorned with gold and jewels, a bust of a scorpion on the front. "Are you ready...To take the lord into your heart, Khastur?" Khastur remained silent as the box was slowly opened and a priest lifted a wicked creature out of description from it, and slowly walked towards him.
Marley spun the spear in his hand, and augmented by magic, it blew out the flames in a gust of wind, Marley then coming in to thrust the spear at Adenia's right shoulder.
(((Nice post Gourou, I do love character development heart )))
As this change took place in Khastur, Issildia's blade Nyththirren took on a noticeably darker aura in response to the force residing within Khastur. A chill sensation radiated up Issildia's arm as the blade became cloaked in a thin sheet of frost, contrasting deeply with the dark hue that the metal of the sword had assumed, it's neutral nature changing dramatically in response to Khastur's plea. But even though the blade had taken on an identity of it's own to accomplish was needed to be done, Issildia faltered...
"I can't..." she whispered, as she was assaulted by the memory of the first time Khastur had made such a rash request.
~"I-ssildiaaaA! Run your sword through us both-- kill Nevar!....."
".....Never ask me to revert to such an absolute thing as killing you to slay my father, It would have only proven his point..." ~
Again the chill sensation emanated from Nyththirren, perhaps to convince it's wielder otherwise. Issildia's right hand that held the blade had long since gone numb from the cold; white lines of frost traced veins of ice over her hand.
"Forgive me." Issildia whispered as she fought back tears; and before she could alter her decision, Nyththirren lanced forward into Khastur's chest, slipping cleanly into the mark upon his sternum. With precision granted to only a practiced assassin the blade slipped in between the major organs grazing the lungs only in the slightest; it still had the potential of a fatal blow through blood loss...but little more could be done to soften the blow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Immediately Adenia's dragon pinned its wings to its side and dropped like a stone through the air to avoid Marley's attack. As it fell little under a hundred feet, the scaled beast's wings snapped open to catch an up rush of air and soar back to its previous height.

"You can not kill those that have already tasted of death...I can never be slain so long as my master lives...Either way...my master's will is done regardless..."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 24, 2006 7:21 pm

((haha thanks, it was a pain to find those old posts though lol >_<))

"I cannot kill you, and you cannot kill me lass-- I've still one thing to do in this world, and I've made a deal with the fates: I cannot be carried into the after life until Khastur has been returned to normal! Now, get out of my way!" lunging again Marley made to stab the dragon this time to lower it's mobility.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Khastur gripped at Issildia's forearm feebly before falling to his side on the ground, the mass on his chest sizzled and burned, he felt the movements inside of him slow from the creature in him. Khastur fought hard now to keep his eyes open as he lied in a warm pool of his own blood. coughing and letting out small gasps he pulled Issildia's blade from his chest and threw it aside, turning to lay on his back now. He raised his right hand slowly, trying to reach out to something. the voice once so booming and fearsome was now a far-away echo: "You have fallen from grace Khastur, Serasai will come for you at the next wane of the moon-- and you will fall into cabal to be devoured by the demons of hell..." clenching his fist, his lip quivered as hot tears fell down his cheek.

"This..Will not be the end of me..." Khastur croaked as he arched his back "I will not die here..." rivlets of blood fell from his chest, dripping upon the ground. Khastur's hair began to fade a darker color, a mournful grey-- his eyes doing the same. "Walking between the shadows...I am Khastur, a freeman...And hero of the people." His knees bending, he grabbed his sword and pulled himself up a ways, panting heavily. "Issildia...you've commited no wrong, I must beg forgiveness..." his eyes fluttered as he wiped blood from his mouth slowly.

Issildia quickly set her hand against the bleeding wound in this chest. There was a brief flicker blue tinged light as tissues and bone began to mend back together until it was as if the wound had never existed, not even the faintest scar remained.
"There is nothing to forgive Khastur..." She replied as she drew back after the healing was complete.
"You were not yourself...and can not be held responsible for what happened...Do not burden yourself with such regret or guilt..."

~~~~~~~~~~~
The dragon took a severe blow to the wing, tearing the thin layer of skin that adorned it's left wing. Crying out in pain as it's left wing became near useless the beast faltered in the air, though Adenia did not seem concerned in the least at this turn of events.
"This is not over." she said calmly. "Whether by your will or not, Khastur will remain as nothing more than a means to and end."
With a slightly smirk from Adenia she then turned back to her dragon as the beast pinned it's wings to it's side to drop down to land and tend to its wounds, leaving Marley to continue on without further interruption.
Grevious stood at the edge of the hill that Issildia and Sin stood on right before they launched their attack on the two warring armies. He looked at the tell tale signs of Sin's handiwork and the giant column of fire coming from the center of the battle.
"Hmm... Well this is intriguing... I doubt very much Reinsen will handle this situation any better then any other time his daugter was involved..... To be paired with such and egomaniacal fool is truly beyond me... and of course he is the Nevar that calls on the monkoto to fulfill their blood pact..."
Grevious sighed and put his hands up to his head letting some coolness seep into his head to help dull the pain he was getting from the growing headache.
"And as of yet he still has no clue why The Monkoto haven't been destroyed due to Sin's actions..."
Turning into the forest Grevious headed back towards the main camp of the Lavoritan forces.
"He continues to slowly lose forces all around him while he indulges on senseless grudges.... what a fool."
((Writer's block >_>))
Khastur stood slowly, his wounds were mended now; but his lungs felt like they were on fire, his muscles promising a thousand pains to come. "Right...Ok...Then, what is our next move? News will spread fast of what has transpired here.."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 25, 2006 5:27 pm
"Right now..."
Sin spoke up, his voice somewhat strained, still standing at the edge of his circle of fire. Dispite the outside help he was starting to get worn down from maintaining such a high ablility.
"We should get out of the line of fire as fast as possible... I can't keep this up for much longer... I say I drop the wall and we book it as fast as possible to the clearing..."
~WIthin the walls of Azure's keep, there lay dozens upon dozens of Celtairie and Maharan soldiers. Their blood stained the ground in a river of cromson that flowed within the stream of the keep. The man left behind to defend the keep had made little work of them as they entered. Their many waves of soldiers could not penetrate the four gates of the keep. This man was no ordinary warrior. His alias, the Raging Darkness reflected both his abilities, and his savagery in battle. AS he stood outside the doors to the citadel, he looked toward the heavens with a light smirk on his face. His blade, Zanketsu, the scythe he weilded to tear into the invaders, was one forged of the saem material as Azure's blades. Its origins were unknown to all expect its wielder. As the moonlight shone down on his position, he watched as the next wave of soldiers entered the city, cautiosly approaching him. The fear in their souls was as eminent as the lightning that tore through the darkness ofthe sky.~
He continues to send his peons to take the keep. Very well.
~He suddenly spun his blade above his head, and snapped it down to his side as he sunk into his stance once again. Staring directly at the numbers of soldiers that gathered before him, a single bolt of lightning struck the ground behind him, casuing several chunks of the earth to erupt. Amazingly, the earth did not float back down to the surface. They remained in place hovering behind him as he spoke to them, the last words they would every hear in this world.~
You wish to enter the Citadel? stare Access is restricted to those of Royal Blood. You contain none. evil Though if you are offerring your lives....I will gladly take them. twisted I am Nahota: The Raging Darkness. I am the guardian of this Keep, and the toll for passage is Death.
Issildia's blade Nyththirren then disappeared in a hiss of dark sapphire hued fire to reappear in her right hand, now returned to its neutral state.
As the battle raged on outside of the circle of fire, Issildia looked at Sin and gravely. "I am not going to simply retreat....but..." She said looked from Sin to Khastur remembering that just as she had a responsibility to her own integrity and ideals that she also had a responsibility to her companions as well. And she doubted that Khastur was in any state to fight.
Sheathing her blade with a deft motion she briefly glanced out at the city a short distance away and the battle the was concentrated about its walls.
"There is no need to run like cowards...the Trenian forces are concentrating their efforts on the city...we are the least of their worries." She remarked, well aware that what dwelled within the city would deal with the invading army in due course.
Sin Gritted his teeth as the fire wall slowly lowered itself around them until it was only a blackened scorch mark on the ground. Running over to Issildia and glanced over at the battle and then around to their location. Keeping his hands to his sides he winced when he accidentally bumped one on his side. The arm went from the wrist to the elbow covered in burns while the palms and fingers were slightly blackened from the effects of keeping his spell up for so long.
"Well at any rate I'll feel a lot more comfortable moving..."
