Quote: ((You and your anatomy!)) ((Everybody knows that!!)) Farfarello, (just asking for it, like always,) keeled over and stood nose-to-nose with the tiny little girl. He giggled; it was amusing that someone could possibly be so tiny. Also, she'd made a frog pelt puke into Raedou's visor, what a good day it was turning out to be!

((Of course I mind. I have no idea what the heck is going on, but I mind! And that's final!
... Oh, wait. Posting is good. Tahrr. Postpostpost. Duhrr. ;@ ))
"Pondy," the pond-sprite said without blinking, staring deep into Farfarello's eyes. "You look weird, shorty," she said, before poking just one of his eyes with a tiny finger.
"And we're going to play... the Riddle Game!"
Although Pondy did not take the time to explain, basically, you could not leave until you played the Riddle Game. If you lost, you would spend the next ten thousand years, or your entire lifetime (Whichever came last.) at the pond to play other games with Pondy. If you won, you could go free.
Technically, to be bound by these rules, one had to touch the water of the pond inhabited by the Pond-sprite. Farfarello had already succeeded in this, since he was staring directly into Pondy's eyes and she was at the center of the pond.
They did not know this limitation, however.

((Damn it.))
Farfarello had taken no offense to being called "shorty" by someone ten million times smaller than himself. He did, however, want to stomp on Pondy after being poked in the eye. "What's the Riddle Game?" The demon asked, rubbing the poked eye and standing full height (which, it seems to be a misconception among everyone that Farfarello is not, in fact, short.)

((Damn what? Post! New charries, yay. Postpostpost! x3 ))
Everyone was short, compared to Pondy's ego.
"The Riddle Game," she said simply, sweetly, and with plenty of apparent glee, "is your only chance to escape eternal servitude from me."
Obviously, she did not think they could win.
"First riddle: Exodus Alcem Doeindus."
This made absolutely no sense. Pondy continued.
"You, mister with the beak," Pondy said, pointing. "You will go... last."
Pondy then turned to Jaeto, but said nothing and passed him by with her fateful gaze.
"Shorty," Pondy said again. "Ready for your riddle?"
As was typically his specialty, Jaeto stood by and said nothing.

Farfarello mumbled, the equivalent of "yeah sure, whatever". The demon was not stupid; according to him, he was not quite as smart as Raedou (most of the time) and definitely smarter than Jaeto. Whether this was true or not, who knows, but that was how Farfarello saw it. "What is it?" He asked, ready for anything (he thought).

"Riddle number one. You, shorty. No legs have I to dance, No lungs have I to breathe, No life have I to live or die And yet I do all three. What am I?"
This Pondy asked Farfarello. "No one else may answer, and there are no hints." At night they come without being fetched, And by day they are lost without being stolen.
