Well, AG, I got my trial last week, which was quite exciting! The supervising attorney (and the public defender who I was against, so I heard from classmates in the PD's office) thought I did a really good job and should be happy with how I did.
Unfortunately, though, the verdict came back as Not Guilty even though she really, clearly was. Thanks ever so much, jury nullification. The jury seemed like they just felt sorry for the Defendant, and I can understand why even as I know that they were specifically instructed not to let sympathy impact their verdict. So yeah, not happy about the outcome, but I'm glad I got to do a trial and get some good feedback about what to improve. That'll look good when sending out resumes.

He seems so happy with me and my participation! He was all smiley when I asked if I could get some more post-its off of him for note-taking yesterday and after class he was all "Awesome! : D" when I wen to see him.
