Actually, for photosynthesis to occur, the sun is needed. Plus, with out the sun, humans would actually begin to die out as well...sunlight gives us Vitamin D. So no, in total darkness, life would start to dwindle.

 bingo. if nothing were alive there would be this never ending dark desert filled with nothing but sand. i dont think im ready for that just yet. Wow this thread jumps by a thousand or more in just on day if my counting skills are correct.

Rishiki The sun?! *thinks this over* I live in Arizona. It's hot here. With no sun it wouldn't be. *gasp* but what about the poor grass Pokemon. They love the sun. *huggles my leafeon* i`ll give you a solrock, he can provide plenty of light for your grass pokemon.
