August spun around. She wasn't expecting for him to SEE her looking. She was utterly embarressed and her cheeks were just getting red when she started to cough. Someone had jammed a cookie in her mouth! Resisting the urge to spit it everywhere, she took it with her hand and nibbled on it, trying to look like she wasn't frazzled by Souno. She wasn't that good at it though...

Souno glanced over his smile and smiled at August as she blushed. He turned back to his bagel and smiled to himself. "I think I like her!" Souno took a swig of water and looked back at her as she sputtered on her cookie. He let loose a silvery laugh and smiled a broad smile.

Hina noticed that the fourth girl (August) had almost choked on the cookie. Choking was bad! What had that manual said about choking? Was it pound them on the back, or hug them or something? She couldn't remember. Better make sure anyways.
"Are you choking?"
She had gotten up and walked right over to the girl, sticking her face right up against the other girl's peering really closely to make sure.

"No! No! No!" August sputtered. "Not choking, no just um....enjoying...yes, enjoying the cookie. And um.... thinking. But the cookies, they're.....delicious, did you order them yourself?" She said putting her interest in Hina and finishing up the cookie.

Souno saw Hina get in August's face and ask if she was choking. Souno felt a rush of fear through him. He got up and went over to her. He took her hand and looked into her eyes, "Are you ok?"
Tchai looked over at Souno holding August's hand and laughed as he kicked his feet up on the table. "What? Does Souno have a Girlfriend?" He said in a mocking tone. He threw his head back and laughed.

August smiled, utterly embarressed. "No, no, I'm fine. " She caught a glimspe of his eye for a moment, but quickly looked away. "Um...would you like a cookie?" She asked, holding out the plate. "They're good.....espesially, like, THIS!" She gammed a cookie in his mouth the way Hina had jammed one in hers. Then she thought for a second (what a surprise) What had come over her? "Sorry!" She said, looking down. 'Idiot' she thought to herself, 'August you're an idiot'

Hina beamed as August noticed she'd ordered the cookies herself! She thought for an instant. Did that mean she wanted more cookies? She nearly hopped from happiness, a bit of the rabbit inside of her. As it was her ears waggled happily.
"Yuppers! Hina got them all by herself! More?"
Hina adored recognition and praise, it made her feel better about herself, like maybe she could make Papa-Doc proud of her. She always tried her best but messed up every so often, so she had to keep trying her besty-west all the time!

Souno suddenly had a cookie in his mouth and he fell over onto the ground. He look the cookie out of his mouth and started to giggle and then to laugh hesterically. he hadn't even heard Tchai's comment. He just sat with a cookie in his hand laughing at how cute August could be. "You're right! They are better like that!" He smiled and took a bite.

"They're great!" August beamed to her, happy to have distraction from the rash move she had just done. "But you know, my favorite cookie is white chocolate macadamia nut. Do you think you could order that?" She smiled, trying not to treat her too much like a child but ending up doing it anyways.

August laughed to him. "Yeah, espesially if you inhale half of it." She laughed....again. She was beginning to feel the like....lighter inside. Better. She wasn't quite as nervous. Happier. She took another cookie, nibbling on it lightly.

"So....I didn't quite catch your name! Mine's Souno! Oh....I already introduced myself, didn't I?" He was slightly flustered and laughed lightly at himself.
Tchai glared at Souno. He always got the friends, no matter how much he tried...People hated Tchai. He reached over and grabbed a cookie. He ate half of it hurridly before growing tired of it and setting the other half on fire.

"Oh right, sorry! I'm August....Raine. August Raine." She smiled. "Nice to meet you." She grinned. "So, what are you up to today?" Her nervousness was gone and she was actually excited.

Souno noticed the shift in her personality and he smiled to himself, "I'm not up to anything right now. I just got here today," He smiled, "You're my first friend!" He laughed and pulled up a chair before sitting next to August and grabbing another cookie.
Tchai glared at Souno as he sat next to him before tossing his burning cookie away and springing up. He stormed out the door and wandered aimlessly around the grounds.

"Okie-dokey-pokey-no more chokey!"
Hina practically hopped to the order machine but stopped about halfway there, switching to a moderated measured stride. She'd been given a quest for white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, and she wouldn't mess it up! She arrived at the machine and slid her card in.
"With Cocoa Macaroni Not Cookies! No, wait! White... Chocolate... Maca-Macadamia Nut Cookies!"
Hina watched nervously as the panel opened, revealing...
The Cookies! She'd managed to fix the order fast enough! Yayness! holding the plate aloft, she bounced happily back to the table, holding the plate for August.
"Hina did good? Hina did good?!"

"Actually, it's my first day here too." She looked around. "Oh, and this is Ananda and Hina." She pointed to everyone. "Don't worry, they won't bite....unless you're a cookie, then you may want to watch out for Hina." She laughed at her own lame joke, blushing.
