After their food was devoured, Kasiya recalled her Pokemon and headed outside. She wasn't quite sure what to do for the remainder of the afternoon, so she headed over to the Vermilion Gym to see what was up. As she neared the large brass building, she could see it was closed.
"Well that's disappointing," she said aloud, and put her hands on her hips. "Now what do we do?" she sighed, and sat down on the front step and watched people go by.

After several grueling days on the road, Keegan and Vulpix finally arrived made it to civilization - Mauville City. He rode through the streets, Vulpix in his little basket, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. He passed by Rydell's bike shop, the game corner, the Pokemon Center and Mart, the gym. He stopped for a second, his eyes lighting up. "There's no way we'd stand a chance now," he said, patting Vulpix on the head. The little fire fox nuzzled his hand affectionately, and he kept riding. A signpost showed that Verdanturf town was to the west, and also a Pokemon Daycare center. Intrigued, the trainer continued on, intent on exploring everything he could.
They took a break just before noon, a sunny patch of grass next to a small pond. Vulpix eagerly devoured a bowl of Pokemon food while Keegan satiated himself with an apple and some granola. They were just about ready to head out when there was a rustling from behind them...

Vulpix jumped in front of his trainer, his six tails flicking intently. Then, out from a shrub emerged a small Pokemon. It was brown with black markings, and somewhat spiky fur. It had something between its paws, and it was eating intently, enjoying each bite with a happy smacking sound.
"That looks like a...it is! That Zigzagoon is eating a Pecha Berry!" Keegan exclaimed, causing the little Pokemon to look up at him. It quickly devoured the rest of its berry, and scratched the ground with its hind legs. It lunged, striking Vulpix with a surprise Tackle. Vulpix cried out and shook itself, looking up at the Zigzagoon. Keegan was certain that he looked more offended than angry or hurt.
"So you want to fight, eh?" Keegan sneered. "After that sneak attack, we won't hold back! Vulpix, use Ember!"
Vulpix took a step forward, and spewed hot embers at the Zigzagoon. It cried out, and in turn taunted the fox with his tail. Vulpix fired the embers again, this time noticeably singing the fur of the Zigzagoon.
"This battle is ours!" Keegan cheered, and ordered Vulpix to finish it with one last ember.
The Zigzagoon staggered, and fled into the bush it had emerged from.
"Great job, Vulpix!" Keegan said, patting Vulpix on the head. Vulpix looked very pleased with the outcome of the battle, and the two continiued down the road.

((Sorry I haven't been here in forever, I forgot I was a member >.<)) Kael grinned as he put the shinai on his back. Smiling slightly he vtook a bite of onigiri and loooked around.
"Where to next...."
He pulled out his map and decided to head for the Lily Cove contest center. AS he approached it Chansey popped out of its pokeball, wearing its kimono.
"Hello Chansey, I'll be entering you in the contest."
THe Chansey grinned and skipped happily next to its trainer. Once he got to the main desk a pretty young woman with silver hair smiled at him.
"Do you have a contest pass?"
He shook his head and she smiled.
"I'll need to see your trainer card please."
He pulled it out and set it on the table, after a couple of minutes she handed it back to him, along with his contest pass, and he pocketed them.
"Thanks a lot miss."
"You're welcome Mr. Puria!"
He smiled and went to the next counter and this time a blue haired woman was typing rapidly on a PC.
"Excuse me, I'd like to enter a contest..."
She didn't look up from the PC, but continued to type rather quickly, ij a monotone voice she said.
"Beauty, cute, tough, smart, or cool."
He glanced at Chansey, it was obvious which one.
"Cute please, to enter this contest you require two Pokemon, one for the first trial and one for the battling portion."
He frowned and glanced at Chansey again.
"I'll have my Chansey for the first round and my MUnchlax for the second."
She nodded.
"Very well, the contest starts in half a hour." ((heheh, this is this guild's 11111th post.))

((Sorry I was gone, my brother broke the computer. crying ))
Ryka threw out her last pokeball, and Thunder emerged in a flash of red light. Sparks flew from his cheeks, and he growled menacingly. "Alright Thunder, you ready? Start off with a Thundershock!" His cheeks sparked more as he released a large bolt of electricity on the Starmie, whom had come back onto a float. It suddenly started spinning, and the electricty bounced right off of it. Ryka gritted her teeth. It jumped back into the water. "You never know where it may pop up.." Ryka muttered to Thunder, who was glacing around for the slightest sign of the Starmie. A burst of water erupted from the surface and hit Thunder. He growled and shocked that spot with a Thundershock, but it stopped at the surface. A burst of water came from behind him. He turned and shocked it again, but it stopped at the surface again. Ryka got deeped into thought as this kept going on.
"I've got it!" She suddenly yelled. Thunder turned to her, a bit surpirsed, and he was hit with water again. But now, he was used to it, so he didn't care. "Focus all of your electricity into your tail!" She shouted.
"What's that going to do..?" Misty questioned herself. Thunder closed his eyes, and his tail started glowing yellow with electricity. He endured a few more bursts of water before fully charging. "Now - jump in!" Thunder gave a questioning looked, but obeyed. He jumped in, tail first. "Try to strike Starmie, if you can.." He heard before plunging in. To his luck, he struck Starmie with is tail as he jumped in. There was a great flash of light, and the water sparkled with electricity. Starmie flew out of the water with Thunder holding onto one of its arms. Starmie hit the wall, followed by Thunder, and they both slid down. Starmie's core started blinking, and Thunder looked almost fainted. "Oh!" Misty cried out and ran over to Starmie, a surprized look on her face. She pulled out its pokeball and returned it. "You did great." She whispered to it.
"Starmie is unable to battle!" The referee shouted. "Pikachu is the winner. The challenger wins the match!"

"Yes!" Ryka threw her hands up in the air. "She ran over to the Pikachu and hugged it. You did awesome!" She pulled out all three of her pokeballs. "All three of you." She returned Thunder into his pokeball. "Thanks." She whispered.
Misty strided over to her, and put her hand out. In it was a little blue teardrop-shaped badge. "Here." She said with a small smile. "You deserve this. This is the Cascade Badge. Your Umbreon should behave a little better with this in your hands." Ryka took the badge and put it next to her Boulder Badge in her Badge case. "My pokemon deserve it more than me." She said with a smile.
The two girls also exchanged Pokenav numbers. "Just incase I need your help sometime." Misty replied. "Ugh. That idiot Brock forgot to give you his Pokenav number, huh? He gets to mind'blown when a girl enters his gym.." She sighed and entered his too. "Oh, yes. This is for you, too." She handed Ryka a small, blue disk. That's Water Pulse. It's an awesome Water-type move that can aslo confuse the opponent."
"Wow," Ryka replied as she tooked the disk. "It feels like Christmas!"
Ryka waved goodbye to Misty, and she caught up with Seth. She grinned at him.

"Way to go Ryka! Badge number two. Congrats," Seth said, his tone filled with happiness. "Why don't we go to the Pokemon Center to get your Pokemon healed?" He suggested, already walking in that direction.

"Thanks a lot." Ryka said, still smiling at him. "That's probably for the best." She replied as the entered to Pokemon Center. Ryka went up to Nurse Joy.
"Hello Nurse Joy. Can you please heal my Pokemon?" She said as she put her three pokeballs on the counter.
"Of course." She said with a nod, as she took the pokeballs and went into the back room. Ryka walked back over to Seth and sat on the couch.

Seth took out his Pokeballs as soon as he sat down on the couch. "So are you headed to the next gym?"

"I don't think so.. At least, not right away.. We have to get back to Kassie, though, it's getting late." Ryka said, trying to ease her mind. She looked over at Seth, and then out the window at the darkening sky.

"All right," Seth replied. He turned Charcoal's Pokeball over, and placed it back into the ivory bag. "After we meet up with Kasiya I'm going to return to Hoenn." His voice was low, "I'm going to the next Contest. Would you like to come?" His thoughts turned. Being in Kanto was much better, his home region. Hoenn was strange, but he loved the contests. He waited for an answer, one he hoped would be yes.

"Oh.." Ryka replied at this sudden question. "..Well.. I'd love to." She said with a grin creeping across her face.
Ding! The bell for the hospital room went off. Ryka quickly got up and retrieved her pokeballs from Nurse Joy. "Thank you, Nurse Joy!" Ryka said with glee. She walked back over to Seth. "I guess we can get going now." She said, and they walked out the doors.
As they were coming up to the underground passage, Ryka asked, "How long do you think we'll be there? Mabye Kassie will come too."

((yey finals are over and that huge project isn't due anymore so I can post here! Happiness!))
It had proved to be a long trek but finally Tony could see the end of the forest. Luckily for him he hadn't run across any wild pokemon, which was somewhat of a miricle but Tony didn't question it. With a happy cry he jumped out of the forest. "Were free!" He cheared happily, Haku who was around his wrist trilled and blew bubbles out which caused a minor distraction as Weed decided to play in them and Pheonix was busy avoiding them and Alucard who was trying to push her into the aquatic attack.
When the little party was done Tony called his pokemon back inside their respective pokeballs other then Alucard whom he told to fly off and find them a town to stay at.

"Great!" Seth beamed. He followed her out of the Pokemon Center. As they headed down into the secret passage he answer he question. "A few days at the most. Maybe you or Kassie will even check out the gyms there," he replied. They walked down the passage this time with the light from Charcoal's tail. the duo soon made it out of the tunnel and began heading towards Kasiya's house.

Tony waited paitently for Alucard to return. After a few moments the small bat pokemon flew back to him and screached at him for a moment befor flying to the west. "Found a place to rest? Good job Alucard!" He said happily as he followed the flying pokemon.
After about a two hour walk he found the city that Alucard had found. Looking up at the sign he read. "Weclome to Rustboro City."
"Ok great. I think this place will do just fine for spending a few day's. Maybe training some more eh little guy?" He asked Alucard who just landed on his sholder and screached again in agreement.
