Streamjumper Better yet? Duck confit. Duck preserved in its own spiced fat. So tender that chewing it isn't really necessary... you can just suck on it like a savory bird candy. This is the most delicious turn of phrase.
I have never eaten duck. Sadface.
Edit: I still want to try turducken so bad.

Streamjumper I figured you'd like the video undergoing not one, but two song and visual shifts upon the appearance of the best weapon in the entire goddamn game, Kin. And the thing that makes it even more of an epic item is how it really lets you showcase the fashion abominations Chuckie has tossed together. That's another thing I really think Zel in particular will love about the game. But yeah, Kai coming over for chow, booze, and bawks is fuggin' win all around. And while I think DR's co-op is online only, it is one of those games where you can easily makeshift co-op by passing the controller around. Portal's another good one, since with both the other person can give advice, keep an eye peeled for other stuff, and chip in ideas for how to visit more ruin on your foes. Show him the Vanquish trailer and demo if he hasn't already seen it... I think he'll get the same shakes many of us have contracted from it. I'm really enjoying the ******** outta Enslaved. Not only is the platforming more fast paced than exacting, and the combat more about dealing with packs than pure combo memorization, but there are moments when I just have to sit back and bear witness. Level design is top notch, the environment is absolutely beautiful and one of the rarer takes on post-apocalypse (everything was overgrown in the new tropical climate due to global warming raising the temperature and providing more moisture via icecap melting) I've seen yet, and they've really nailed the story behind it all in a disturbingly fresh yet accurate manner. Not only are Trip and Monkey's designs beautiful, but their personalities mirror the naive monk and Handsome Monkey King in ways far more subtle but ultimately more accurate than we usually get to see here in the West. And occasionally there's a line or two that totally fry my mind in its perfection. I don't think it would necessarily be a purchase for everyone, but snagging it used at 40 or less (or renting) would be a strong recommendation. However, if you're a big fan of the original story you may consider it must-have material. Like I did. Oh, I am. I've seen some of the eye-burning you can do in DR 2, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it and trying to one-up some of them. XD The video was awesome, with the music and the tricycle and everything. XD I'd been expecting, before it showed the tricycle, for him to go for one of those stick horse things and ride that around while taking out zombies. I'm not sure if I was disappointed or not. Enslaved has been getting some good reviews from what I read. It's not at the top of my list (since I've got an ever growing backlog of games I have yet to play that are much more important to get through). If/when the price drops, I think I'd at least check it out. It's certainly being advertised pretty much everywhere right now.

Streamjumper Happy Gaiaversary! So, since I have a long weekend and we haven't hung out recently, how about we attempt some sort of AG bonding this weekend? Maybe pull an AG chat one night and some AG XBAWKSING another night? I dunno about you turkeys, but I could certainly go for some multiplayer Castlevania, Red Dead, or Borderlands (assuming we have 4 or less people)... or some of the other multiplayer stuff I have sitting around. Hell, even if we can't all agree on one thing to play we can still pull some party chat while we each get out own individual game on. Oh, if we have an AG chat on AIM, I'd definitely want to get in on that. No 360, so I couldn't join you guys for the gameplaying, unfortunately. But if there's some chat while you all play, I'd be up for that if I haven't missed it already.

viRTuaLiNSaNiTy I don't have Monday off...and I work at a school crying BUT I do get a week off Thanksgiving week as opposed to just 2 days. I just realized I don't actually know if I get Monday off. I guess I'll find out when I get to Woodland and find out if the DA's office is closed or not. XD

3.14 Also, I have always wanted to try deep fried turkey. And if I happen to come across some this season, I am going to eat some. But don't tell any anybody. My father in law is the only one who knows. Because he is the only one who will really appreciate a vegetarian eating meat. And he will be the one probably making it for me. :3 My grandpa has a deep fryer, so for about 3 thanksgivings we've had deep fried turkey. It's rather dry, but still very tasty.

teh CB I GET TOMORROW OFF BECAUSE IT BE CANADIAN THANKSGIVING, SUCKERS. I keep forgetting tomorrow is Thanksgiving. But to me all it means is YEAH DAY OFF.
PS. If there is an AG chat I wouldn't mind being in on that. Also I don't really mind a new person. I looked at those join requests and the one seems legitimate enough.
So guys (particularly Stream, o ye master of the kitchen). My boyfriend likes to show himself as the most stereotypical sitcom depiction of man ever, and therefore lives off of frozen food and ramen. As such, I want to introduce him to my cooking skillz when he visits the great white North in the beginning of November. Any ideas for meals I could try that are easy on the wallet? I'm not really picky on prep time or skill level or anything. I'm just trying to be (relatively) cheapish, and I do wanna be friendly to my diet (which means lower sugar, primarily) but it's not a big deal. Current ideas: - Broccoli and ricotta stuffed shells (with bruschetta as appetizer : D ) - Tiramisu - Cheese ravioli with pork and shiitake - Chicken flautas and homemade guacamole - Fettuccine (or linguine, depending) with kalamata olives, diced tomato, parmesan, and olive oil
I keep too much pasta in my house. This is what happens when you grow up with the Italian side of the family.
