Totally fine with getting shots and needles and all that. The only time I had trouble was... during my first sabbatical from college. Winter of '04 I had to get tested for mono because everyone was flipping out because I was sick near constantly. So they took to doing bloodwork, and told me not to look over because, well, some people get nervous. So I didn't. And then the person taking the blood stopped moving so I was like, 'all right, must be done, let's see the damage'. Only, it was the first time I had bloodwork done. And there was the needle, sitting there, in my arm, and blood gushing out into it. And I look up at the nurse and I say, "...Nurse, I think I'm bleeding." "Yes, you are," she said, smiling. "I told you not to look." I nodded. Then I informed her, as my future as a dried out, bloodless husk flashed before my eyes, "I'm going to faint now." And I did.

Zelyhon 3.14 I don't have issues with needles. As long as you get a good sticker. Like when you have to give blood samples? You better get it in there the first damn time. Although when they shoved a giant needle down my throat to try and drain an abscess? Yeah, that was pretty ******** intense. I have troubles with needles, but not because I'm afraid of them. I just have really well hidden veins, so when I try to donate blood or anything, it never works. crying Though, I can't say I've ever had that abscess thing done. That actually would do a good deal for making me more afraid of needles. gonk I know this ninja-vein pain. crying
First time I went to give blood it took 3 phlebotomists and 8 attempts, but they got the blood. The second time it only took about 3-4 tries, but they blew both veins and didn't get any blood out of it. They told me not to come back. emo

For the life of me I couldn't see what she did, but then again, once she pulled out that damn needle I refused to look in her direction until she said she was done.

With the exception of one of my closest friends neglecting to say anything about it to me (despite the fact that I know she knew), today was a good birthday.

22. Yay. Younglings. If I ever gave blood, they shouldn't have any problems finding veins in either of my arms. They like... protrude from my arm. Yaycrazythin.

LunaInverse Happy belated birthday, Rae. don't know how I missed it. Must be because I'm oooooooolddddd...... Haha, it's okay. Only like seven AGers remembered. Unless I missed more messages. Or unless I'm just too tired to remember someone. I'm way too exhausted to function .___.
