Can't see it, unfortunately. I'd be curious to see how it went from the URL listed in the link. Though I kind of have a guess...XD Also, that X-Computer-Box, is...it's just...I'm not sure if I want one or if I'm horrified that I can see the beginnings of Skynet being sold to the general public. Selling those sorts of potential apocalypses is supposed to be Gatorcorp's job! Clearly, we need to find a way to hack it and gain control over the consoles to infect those who bought it.

I already had my counter ready if someone tried to turn it into an outright "Who's more popular" argument.
Namely that Sephiroth is from a game released in 1997 and has made over a dozen appearances in movies, animation, and games since then. There's been no small amount of merchandise produced of him as well. However, his fanbase is confined to one niche of gaming, and is a subset of said group. While his appearances cause murmurings, and can indeed contribute slightly to sales, they're no huge event.
Duke, however, has had all of a handful of appearances in all of the almost 15 years since his first appearance in the context we now identify him with (I'm not counting the majority of the handheld stuff, as most are for gimick game systems or short-lived phone system ports of 3d or the side scrollers). Little merchandise, and no particular niche, as a wide variety of gamers remember him from the side scrollers, 3d shooters, or even just images they've come across and stories told of one of the first two shooters that could challenge the original Doom... as well as one of the first truely controversial games in the modern sense.
Yet, when recent news of Duke Nukem Forever being in the hands of Gearbox, and mostly functional hit, a collective orgasm was experienced in the Gaming community.

But hey, 8 months of looking, I'm happy with that. Out of the house at 8, start work at 9, finish work at 5:30, home by 6:30. I miss work days. heart

Ugh. I wanted to apply to grad school, so I thought I should line up references first. Contacted the professor I was most familiar with at my school in New York, and did a lot of good work for and so on. To be told "Yeah I don't really remember anything you did." There goes that idea. .___.
