Are you thinking what I am?" "You fool!" Matsuda shouted and ran oer to Mai. She pulled Rio away with a harsh snap. "Don't touch her!" Mai twitched a few more times but then lay still. The sword completely vanished into the chest and her Skin turned a harsh grey white. "It is done...the trap has sprung..." Matsuda then turned to the present company and dropped her disguise. It was pointless now, she had failed. "Perhaps you would like an explaination? To start off, that sword... it was a fake." All the fighting around the cave seemed to be at a standstill. Yuna's eyes were darting to Matsuda and Mai rapidly. "Do something sensei!" Matsuda 's mind was racing for ways to counteract the curse. "The fake kusanagi was made for this purpose only. To kill Mai. Only her family can destroy the real Cursed Blade and someone doesn't want that to happen. This was an elaborate set up." She bent down and put a roll of cloth in Mai's mouth so she did not bite off her tounge. She made care not to make skin to skin contact. "If I had known she was here...Who brought her?" "I do not know. She was just...here before I knew it. I wouldn't bring a child along on such a mission!" Tobasu shouted over the sound of falling stones. Matsuda shook her head. "It matters not. The curse she is suffering from...I've seen it before. It turns all of her tenketsu against her own body in a sort of reverse field. If you touch her now she'll suck all of the chakra from your body in an instant. It may kill you." She furrowed her brow and thought. After a few seconds a realization came across her face. "And that is exactly what we must to to save her. If someone can inject such a massie amount of chakra into her as to interrupt the process she may still survive. Do we have any volunteers? Make it quick we don't have much time." She indicated both Mai's condition and the cave which were both deteriorating rapidly. Yuna had told Mai that he had trusted her with his life. He would now return the favour. "Matsuda, I don't know if my chakra will suffice. I don't know if it'll be enough. Will you let me try?"

Tobasu did the same thing at the exact same timing. Like Yuna he too injected big mass of chakra into her system.

It was like touching a burning flame and a freezing glacier at the same time. Tobasu and Yuna felt like they were blasted in the chests with an unbelievable force knocking the wind out of them. Fatigue hit them in an instant as if they had been running for days. Mai spat out the cloth and gasped as if she had never before breathed, bolting upright. She sat tranfixed sucking the lifeforce from the two helpless nin before Matsuda knocked them away. Mai choked for a few seconds and then passed out, but her breathing had returned to normal though the sickly grey palor of her skin remained.
"It's done...We need to get out of here." Matsuda said with an air of satisfaction.

Matsuda pulled off her long scarf and whipped it in the air at Mai. It expanded and wrapped around her making a cucoon for the protection of everyone around as well as her. She placed her goggles around her eyes and said, "Hold on." She did several lighting fast seal and shouted, "Doton: Daishi no Kyokan!" The stone beneath them crack and shot up at great speed carrying Her, Mai, Tobasu, Yuna and Rio on a giant pedestal of rock toward the ceiling. She yelled back to Sabu, Issui and Ganeni to get out, the cave was in its final death throes. When they reached the ceiling Matsuda merely reared back mucles tightening and pummeled a route through to the surface.

Issui wasted no time as the rest exited the cave, without warning the heads of the Orochi grabbed Ganeni in one mouth, careful to be gentle and keep his head out of the water. Then, with a final hand seal the body of the Orochi gave way in a explosion of water that shut the heads and necks streaking up into the air. The 4 that preceded the two that held Ganeni and Issui smashed into the rock ceiling and paving the way for all the escaping ninja.
Once they broke through the surface the heads lasted only long enough for the two to land safely before the water lost it's shape and Issui collapsed to the ground, panting like he was a dog, his whole body trembling.

Meanwhile the fight with Ornyou and Ifuuki seemed to be reaching its climax. All the clones that Ifuuki destroyed exploded in a rain of blood and metal shrapnel, aiming to cause countless infectious wounds.
Onryou made a quick hand seal and hit the rock with incredible speed along it's vertical axis before striking the middle with his open palm, causing the rock to shatter along that axis and fall to either side of him.
He made a string of seals before he said "Doton: Gravity Anchor," and threw a slew of kunai at Ifuuki, each one clean of his blood, but glowing with chakra. If they hit her they would each feel like a two ton anvil weighing her down, a special earth jutsu that effected the relative gravity and density of an object.
