Well aparently Fang agreed just fine at that point. And who wouldn't when you not only didn't have to spend your own wealth but were given more for your coffers at the same time. Thusly deal struck he had made his way off of the ship and back to the skies. Oh so pleased with himself...and things were finally falling into place. It was nice when you planned for things and they went according to plan. Or at least as well as you could. It was even better when your own family didn't even know who you were to them...made to stirke emotional blows that could cripple if used right. Oh yes, so happy...but time to take a new toy back to his children and let them have a little fun.

"That's why you humans say the future is mysterious, hm?" He merely sneered at his sister, not that she could see it. But a grin to Shyrae as she played it all up more and rubbed at his ears, making them twitch and his brain fizzle a little. Sensitive spots, who could help it. "Settle down? I don't go enough places to count as not settled down. And he would want me to give mom some pretty little elf babies to spoil, wouldn't he?" His father was actually quite the pusher of family...though he had noted a certain renewed calm and comfort between father and daughter. However a wide eyed blink to Malik. "Dad! Why are you trying to get me in trouble with Sevilin and Zahara? Mom would have your head for that too."

She let Shyrae drag her off for the moment. "Teasing is one thing, talking about things that he shouldn't be to complete strangers is another thing." Shaking her head lightly but trying to push down the feeling of being wholly irritated with her brother. After all, her father was leaving soon with him and it was best for everyone to be on good terms with everyone else.

"And you do such a good deal of handling bad attitudes don't you?" Referencing Des of course. "And I came for the gems. That didn't include towing you around all the time and what not." Swatting at him, "And don't be bitter." Giving a little surprised noise as Thobias high jacked her but was mindful of her love for her hat at the same time. "I...have the means to make muffins once more, we can leave, my crew is in tip top shape, and my ship is shiny and all fixed?"

"Unseasoned? More like all over nasty affects." By this point she was laying on the quarterdeck out of the immediate way of crew and all, flopped on her stomach with her wings splayed out and tail end flicking lightly between her ankles. "I don't want to sleep anymore, yours makes me sleep. But I appreciate the concern, my lady." Trying to appear peppy as she could...which was about as peppy as a wet rag. "What's going to happen now? Did you have a plan?"

Shyrae glanced back and shook her head. "I'm old enough to make my own decisions...Daddy won't be happy though. Mom would commend me on my choice. She rather likes you, Dhairiss. Must be part of raising you. You know diapers and all." Chuckling before turning back to Savvy and patting her shoulder. "He just doesn't want you to give up something you really loved because of what happened. But I know you don't like talking about such things so no more."

Pulling her back up, he plopped a kiss on her nose. "Yes to muffins, crew, and ship. We can't leave just yet, however. One of your crew is still haggling for a bit and then we can ship out. But Galley is making muffins as we speak. So come now, sing." Giving her a happy grin. "Can I sweep you off your feet now?"

Eilynne smiled sympathetically and lightly ran her fingers through Jae's hair. "Well, yes, but that'd necromancy. It did help which is the important part." She hadn't expected to be giving out any remedies and chuckled, "I understand. I'm not the most adept at healing. Some of my kind are and I'm sure they'd have a plan of action including everything that would make you feel so much better. All I have to offer is my company."

"I already gave it up, and it's not something I can do again." But thank Innoruuk for Shyrae being sensitive to such things and knowing when to let them drop. That's why she alays hung around Shyrae, because she didn't carry on about such things and would look to new subjects just as easily. "Besides...I like shocking his ears. He makes a funny noise."

"Yay muffins. My day looks a tad bit brighter now." It was amusing, muffins were about the only thing that always pleased her. "Hear that Hunt? Time to start packing yourself in, because I'm almost done. I'll let you know if we have a plan of action by dictation of Laerethe." But a shake of her head, "I sound like a dying dragon when I sing, and yes you may sweep."

"Your company is enough. I really don't want to be alone right now. It's terrible to be alone and be icky feeling at the same time." Even if she had purposefully sent Kaznec off. She didn't want to be his obligation all the time and keep him from missing out on things that were good for him. Like nomad experience. "I take it you find nothing exciting about our stop here? Or is this all long old to your knowledge?"

"I've been prepped and ready. I don't have to have specialty food or things sparkling to leave a port you know. though I think we should keep course for now until we get an idea of what those pests want, and like you said, you can let me know when they decide to be more gracious with the information."

before jumping ship and heading back to his own, and getting to his cabin to start looking over his charts, while the ship started getting ready to get underway.

"You'd make a funny noise if I shocked your ears as well."

malik gave a slight grin at his daughter, before turning his attention back to shyrae

"Actually, I wager, five to one, that if I told your mother you were sleeping with someone she'd be here by tomorrow with about seven potions on her person to check for illness, make sure you didn't get pregnant, and then lecture both of you on sneaking off to another plane in the first place to engage in such activities."

a shrug.

"and then I'd get holy hell for not watching you better since I was already here."

Shyrae giggled and then glanced back at Dhairiss who was still rubbing his affronted ears. "Ears are sensitive. I'd almost say that was cruel but the noise is too funny to stop you from doing it."

Her uncle got a momentary look and then she shook her head. "Oh Uncle Malik, I'm surprised at you." Reaching in one of her belt cases, she removed three vials. "Mom has been making me carry this stuff around since long before I left home. Now I have nothing for illness so that's a possibility and she'd probably come see me just to make sure it was consensual and I was happy. If I wasn't, heads would roll, including yours because you were here and didn't watch me better." Reaching out and lightly tucking a strand of multicolored hair behind Savvy's ear. 'You lost one of your beads..."

"Yes you do but I like to hear it anyway. It keeps you from being totally and completely perfect which I cannot stand." Thus quite literally sweeping his captain off of her feet and carrying her up deck. "Come on you sandworms! Shipping out soon so get your flea-bitten carcasses on board."

Eilynne nodded, "I understand. I was always quite clingy when something didn't feel right. It was strange, really." Shaking her head for a moment and turning her attention back to the outstretched dragon. "We were here long before the nomads but I have been here before. I've come to find that once you've seen it once, you've seen most of it. Things do not change that much from plane to plane, Jaebelltiah. It is still good to experience all things before one makes an opinion, however."

Staying quiet for a moment as she continued threading her fingers through the girl's hair. "You have a secret. Those can be dangerous things. Why do you keep it locked in so tightly?"

He narrowed his eyes, but harmlessly, at his father's comment. "I didn't make a funny noise, it was a pained one." But apparently Shyrae agreed with him. He just couldn't win but he was well used to teasing by this point in life. "I don't know what's more disturbing...that Aunt Zara wouldn't stop us and merely give us percautions or that she does indeed give us precautions just because." But then a grin and a chuckle, "You always have looked out for the best interest for your sons, dad." Turning a look to Shyrae...well apparently she already had means of protection..."And I guess that means that I would be mauled when she came or hugged, huh?

Apparently Dhairiss was the butt of a joke again. Usually she joined in on such things but she didn't want to think of her sleeping with her brother. It would just be weird really. Though those two did get along together amazingly well. But a little blink and surprised face as she reached to feel at her hair at the mention...then frowned. Well hell...she was never going to find that now. And she doubted she could find silver or gold beads on this plane. Maybe she would have some left in her pack.

A wave to Hunter as he meandered off and then a giggle to Thobias. "I do so love it when he demeans them to motivate them. It's always so creative and what not." Wriggling down from his hold and brushing a hand through her hair before taking survey of her crew. "Well then, I want half sail for the time being when we start out, no need to stress repairs right out of the gate."

"I suppose that's a good thought to keep in mind. Change happens slowly and only those with the ability to age slowly or not at all in the face of time ever really get to see it truly happen." Nodding lightly though, "And yes...personal opinions are the most important." But then a few quick blinks as Eilynne seemed to pick up on the things that she wasn't saying as she let her hand slip between Bell's horns as she was petting through her hair in comforting gesture. Did it do any good to lie to one of them? Let's be vague. "Because sometimes the subjects of the secrets themselves...are dangerous things. So many things can be entailed with them...that someimtes it's best to keep them as secrets."

Malik handed off the bead in question.

"It fell out while you were digging in your pets nose with your dagger."

before smirking at his son.

"It's part of the job description as a parent."

though a glance to mister Richards, seeing at the Claw was starting as half sail...before the lurch had him support his daughter as the chimera followed suit.

Hunter walked out on deck, nodding to his first mate, before taking the wheel.

"Alright, dogs! lets get underway! I want my sails at full as soon as we get clear. and get us ready. everyone at their positions. as soon as our little annoyances give us some kind of heading."

"Depends on if I had a good time or not. If I didn't enjoy it, you'd be mauled. If I was happy and sated and everything she thinks I should be, you'd be hugged and then lectured on drugging yourself and watching things because drow are highly fertile." Chuckling and then clapping as Malik apparentely had the bead in question. "Good show, Uncle Malik. See, Sav, you're daddy still looks out for you." Calmly regaining her balance and then grinning, "Off to somewhere else. How exciting."

"It allows us to learn from our past mistakes and hopefully break certain cycles. Of course that does not always occur, thus we must be careful. There is nothing more catastrophic than repeating the same mistake at the cost of lives." But lesson finished, she nodded. "Sometimes. Do you believe yours is truly so? Or merely the result of mixed communication and uncertainty?" Asked in a congenial tone before she continued, "Remember, those same secrets can turn into wounds that merely fester and ooze. Without lancing them, they eventually poison you."

A glance to the Chimera as ships began cutting through sandsea once more. "Alright, Hunter is in gear. Keep my sails at half still, he can break his things if he wants." Crossing her arms and shaking her head. "Alright then...we need a heading. By our own design or by Laerethe. Mister Robins, do see if you can find one and see if they have an opinion. If not we'll head for the next treasure boon out here. They seem to be working nicely. And as ever boys, watch the skies and sands for Riders."

"Yipes. Your mom just gets scarier and scarier to me as time goes by. Particuarly because it seems she would always in theory want to hurt me." Then there was the talk of things such as fertility..huh, he wondered. Since he was half and half did that make for a difference in his own? Probably. Oh good now he had something to study and hypothesize on. Merely shifting his feet to compensate for movement and he seemed fine. "Indeed it seems you all are. But this is a journey that is not mine to have." Crossing his arms lightly and looking to his father. "You?"

Bead plopped in her head she took a moment to feel it roll around in her palm, testing the weight a moment. Ah, that was a silver one and it went on the left in the front on the end. Thusly fishing out that particualrly dyed streak of hair and threading the bead back in securely. At least she didn't have to worry about stumbling as her father made sure of that. Shyrae was right, he was looking out for her...which was a nice feeling. "Yes indeed I see, thank you daddy." Blinking to her brother's statement and a look to her father. "Is this the part where you're leaving?"

"Of course wise words from one such as yourself, speaking on things you seem to know without anyone saying a word to the actual subject. Probably is the former more than the latter, but sometimes the risk of the loss isn't worth it. By telling one thing another can be destroyed and leave one with nothing." Shaking her head. "I don't have much to call my own in this world. I suppose it's a selfish reason to keep secrets."

"Too bad you can't stay your presence would of been welcomed Dhariss." This elf was the first one he hasn't upset in some way yet, to Caden that was a good thing. Even though he was looking at the elf's sketch book he was just trying to keep his mind focused away from that weird conversation. Heck he didn't even knew Shyrae carried vials for stuff like that because of her mother. Still after getting to the last page the guardian closed it and handed it over to the elf. "They are wonderful sketches, I hope I can see more the next time you come by." If the guy did, which was probably slim really.

He looked to Caden, giving a nod. "Seems this party is already big enough. Besides, I don't like to go on adventures too much...I'm a homebody I guess." Shrugging lightly before reaching out and taking his sketch book, tucking it back away where it belonged on her person. "If I come by. Depends on if I have to fetch people again or bring something to dear little sister. Who knows. Paths cross of old friends everyday. Stranger things have happened."
PostPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2007 3:35 pm

"That's too bad, maybe you could of drawn a dragon or two, maybe even a sand shark if you stick around." He was smiling when the elf took the sketch book back, it really was a shame the lad couldn't stay. Though a light nod to the elf as he explained the situation. "I see, well then I hope it's the latter you have to do. It be nice to see you again. Though I agree, paths do cross from time to time, it just depends on where and when." But at least he was able to meet the guy now that's for sure.

"I have excellent memory, I'm an elf after all. I've seen one dragon small and cute as she may be but I'm sure I'll see other such sights. I'm still young yet." Giving a chuckle to that and a shake of his head before quieting for the time being. After all, people deserved the time to say goodbye and what not and make sure things are going to be settled while others are gone.
PostPosted: Wed Oct 24, 2007 6:41 pm

"At times, it is better to not speak of such things for various reasons, whether they be saving another from pain or keeping a disaster from occurring." Hesitating a moment as she continued in her stroking. "You would rather operate under the illusion of having something you desire than risking it all and potentially losing. I can understand your reasoning behind that. You are afraid he would leave you if you were completely honest." Shaking her head, "Part of love is faith and trust, Jaebelltiah. Do you have faith in him?"

Yup, if she didn't think the little star motif creature knew before...she was sure that she knew now. Was she just transparent or were the Laerethe more observant than they let on? Something her brain didn't want to ponder right now, seeing as it was busy trying to make her body well. Though she was getting slightly sleepy what with that repetitive motion through her hair. Lulling motions. "I do...but at the same time I know where I stand with him as he sees me. I'm his friend, someone he can trust. Why betray his own trust in me with perceptions that I am merely near him for my own selfish wants?" Shaking her head lightly and shifting some, drawing her wings and knees up, curling her tail around herself at that first lurching movement of the ship. "Kaznec lives by his head and isn't ready to feel for anyone else." He wouldn't be able to until he forgave himself for a past tradgedy that wasn't even his fault.
