Turtwig's Razor Leaf hadn't done too much damage, but then again Gardenia hadn't really expected it too. The paralysis was really getting to his system, slowing down his movements and it was really, really annoying! The Grass Pokemon growled, annoyed that his limbs continued to seize up and move involuntarily every so often. He hated not being in control of his body!

Gardenia clicked her tongue as Katie called out for a Wing Attack. She was waiting for it, a bit surprised that it hadn't been her first command. Noa the Staravia was now dive bombing Turtwig with her glowing wings. The speed that gravity was no doubt adding was going to make it one painful attack.

"Hold your ground Turtwig! Concentrate!" Gardenia yelled, hoping to clear the Pokemon's mind. He often lost control when he was frustrated, that hot headed Pokemon of hers! She would have mentally laughed had these few moments not been so crucial. Noa was now just above Turtwig. "Roll!" she shouted, "Then counter with Body Slam!"

Without even signaling for a confirmation Turtwig tucked himself in and swiftly pushed himself to the side, half dodging the attack. His reaction time had been much slower than normal and he was clipped by Noa's left wing. The attack sent him spiraling back farther than he would have liked. He moved out of his shell as fast as he could, fighting back the paralysis before charging at the bird. However, that Wing Attack had nearly knocked him out. His Body Slam didn't have the speed or power Gardenia had come to expect out of Turtwig and instead the attack seemed for have morphed into a Tackle attack.

"Good job Turtwig!" the Gym Leader called out to her Pokemon, providing support to her weakened Pokemon. It was almost time for the ace up her sleeve to make an appearance.

Finally the onix came to a rest.

“For all of your onix’s power and rocky hide, it doesn’t stand much chance against attacks that don’t have to match up against either,” Crush admonished the hiker.

“Don’t get cocky yet. This battle isn’t over, boy.” The hiker growled as his onix stirred. “ONIX USE ROCK THROW!”

Confuse ray. Thought Crush.

The rock snake glared down the hall at the puny bronzor. It swept its tail across the ground with such speed and force that sent rumble careening towards its opponent. The stone pieces resounded like bells against Ardah, flipping it over and over. But it didn’t stop the steel Pokémon, as it sent a indigo ray out slamming the onix with no force behind it.

There were thousands of them now. Little, puny, disc Pokémon floating all about it. The great onix thrashed about sweeping its tail through them and slamming them into the walls. It was beat them all.

The mountain man stared in stunned silence as his onix thrashed madly about at the end of the hall. Slamming its head and tail into the walls over and over again, beating itself up.

“Onix! Stop!” He called out to his distressed Pokémon. But the onix could hear nothing.

Confusion. The surfer commanded as he turned to the hiker. “I told you, brah. I’m as serious as it gets.”

Ardah sent another wave of psychic energy crashing against the rock snake as it thrashed. This wave sweeped the onix up off the ground and slammed it into the ceiling. Then it dragged it back along the hall as if the onix was caught by the tide.

By the time the onix came to rest on the eddy of psychic energies it was unconscious.

“Good work, little brah,” Crush said as he returned Ardah to its pokéball. Then he looked to the hiker. “Anymore to test me out on, brah?”

“No.” The mountainous man said defeatedly as he looked at his unconscious onix.

“Well it was fun, and a good match.” Crush held out his hand to the hiker.

He looked down at the hand and growled, but took it none the less with a steely grip. “Aye, it was, but this won’t be the last of our battles, boy. Mark this day, you and I will have a match again. Remember my name, its André.”

“I look forward to it, brah,” The Sinnoh Surfer smiled.

André grunted and returned his onix. Then turned and left the gym.

Tailor finally broke the silence. “THAT WAS AMAZING!”

Crush laughed. “Yeah, little brah, let’s hope the real fight goes so smoothly.”

“C’mon,” He continued into the gym.

It didn’t take long for the pair to arrive in the main room. He looked across the stadium towards Roxanne, the gym leader. He stepped up to the arena and waited on her acknowledgement.

Karrigan continued to watch her Shinx and Venerax's Hoothoot play around, though she was a little surprised to see how quickly Zaira had changed her 'attacking' pattern to match the Owl Pokemon's erratic movements. "Oh? How's that?" she asked, looking back at Ven, her expression blank. "What kind of Pokemon would you expect me to have?" Meanwhile, Zaira had no intentions of giving up this game any time soon, and at first even she didn't notice when larger sparks of electricity had begun to flare up from her legs as she ran. Within a few more strides her fur was practically bristling with electricity, and with a playful growl she jumped at Booky, which probably would have been bad had the massive Aegeus not suddenly reached down and grabbed the Shinx's tail with his mouth, and he effortlessly hoisted the tiny blue and black Pokemon off the ground as electricity flared up around her. It did no harm to the Onix whatsoever and he gently set her down in front of Karrigan, who knelt down to try and calm the hyperactive little Pokemon. "I guess you've finally learned Spark," she said. "But you can't go around shocking your new friends, that's rude!"

Ikouma had watched the scene unfold with a stoic expression. He was trying hard not to be impressed by the young Shinx's progress, and even more so by the new attack she'd just learned. Even still, she was still childish and immature. He was also aware of the Beedrill buzzing around nearby, and he got the sense that she was up to no good. Even still, he remained still, watching and waiting as his Karrigan continued talking to this strange new young man.

Somehow Jake had managed to stop himself from falling forward directly onto his face and kissing the ground yet again, though his stark-white cargo pants now had a few grass stains decorating them. "Ow," he grumbled, rolling onto his back as he quickly recalled that the Bidoof was still after him. And that she was, for no sooner had the tall blonde boy hit the ground was the Pokemon practically on top of him, though thankfully she wasn't a very large Pokemon and he was able to reach out and grab her around the middle, which was possibly now the only thing keeping her from lunging forward and biting his face off. She was a feisty little thing though, as the human's strong grip on her wasn't enough to deter her from wriggling and squirming and continually trying to n** the end of the boy's nose off with her sharp teeth.

A few moments later, Turtwig had managed to catch up with them and for a split second he could only blink in disbelief at the scene before him. Even still, he couldn't let that Bidoof keep attacking his trainer, as he could see that Jake would lose his hold on her any time now. "Tur!" he shouted, hoping to catch the Bidoof's attention, but she didn't hear him. It was no wonder though, as her fierce growling and Jake's terrified shrieks were drowning out nearly every other sound in the area. Turtwig really didn't want to have to do this, but he was left with no other choice. With a growl, the Tiny Leaf Pokemon charged forward, jumping up and slamming his shoulder into the Plump Mouse Pokemon's hindquarters, knocking her out of Jake's hands and onto the ground beside him, though when she scrambled to her feet again she was face to face with a very annoyed Turtwig, who had strategically planted himself between Jake and the raging Pokemon.

Jake took this opportunity to get to his feet, and he backpedaled until he felt a tree behind him, and he pointed at the Bidoof with a shaky hand. "Get it, Turtwig!" he shouted. Turtwig rolled his eyes, as that had been a rather pitiful command, but nevertheless he complied, rearing back his head and loosing a barrage of sharp little leaves at his new opponent. The Bidoof cried out and fell to the ground, trying to cover her head with her stubby little legs. "That's new," Jake mumbled, now taking his PokeDex out of his pocket and pointing it at Turtwig, though it took a few seconds for him to remember how to operate it. It seems that in addition to Tackle, Withdraw and Absorb, Turtwig can also use Razor Leaf, he thought, eyes widening when he saw a fifth move listed under 'special'. Body Slam? How long has he known that? He looked back up in time to see the Bidoof recover and throw herself at Turtwig for a Tackle. Jake turned the PokeDex on the Bidoof next, confirming that she knew Quick Attack and indeed was female. There was something about the energy in that little Pokemon's eyes that he liked, and the fact that she could use Quick Attack made her stand out from the other lame Bidoof in the area. "I've decided, Turtwig!" he shouted suddenly, pocketing the 'Dex and taking out his single empty Pokeball. "We're catching this Bidoof!"

"Ratatta! Quick Attack! Let's finish it off" overestimated the brown haired boy. He pointed angrily at Twinkers then formed a fist as his hand withdrew to his hip. The Ratatta bounded forwards happily, but it was clear that the purple Pokemon wasn't keen on hurting it's pretty pink playmate. If anything, the quick attack turned into something like a playful nudge. The boy's fist fell limply by his side as the "attack" played out.

"Pound!" Akane ordered in response. The Clefairy leaned backwards and snapped forwards to add momentum to the blow. The punch connected squarely with the top of the Ratatta's head, sending the rat staggering back a few steps. The now large crowd cheered as the obvious underdog was gaining the upper hand. Akane blushed as she realized that the crowd was big enough to stop traffic on the street, and they were all looking at her and Twinkers. Before she could get Twinkers to continue the offensive, the surly youth reined in his temper enough to recall the obviously infatuated Ratatta back into its Pokeball.

"A lucky start, but it won't help you much. You can't possibly win against me" the teenage boy smiled confidently as he pulled his second Pokeball out of his pocket. "Come on out Zubat!" The small bat Pokemon appeared up by it's trainers head in the now familiar red light. It fluttered in place emitting a piecing shriek from it's large mouth, eager for battle.

Akane couldn't help but think that two on one was hardly fair, but there wasn't much she could do about that now. All she could do was try and think what Twinkers could do against an airborne and fast opponent.

Mahnaz finally made it to the edge of the Route, but knew that there was more to go.
We've been traveling for hours, and nothing! I'm so exhausted! She stopped the bike and saw that Maipe was focused on something...else.
"Growl!" Maipe commanded as an Oddish came running fearfully out of the tall grass.
"It's okay Maipe, it's just an Oddish." But, Mahnaz knew better than to stay off guard. Maipe, on the other hand, chased the Oddish, keeping his partner safe from any harm.
Maipe is pretty fast for a little guy. But, then again, I always knew that one. "Maipe, come back boy!" The Puppy Pokemon didn't look happy that he had to give up the chase, but he obliged anyway.
"Lithe." He sat next to the bike, watching for any sign of an attack. She saw that Oddish again and sighed.
"Okay; let's have some fun." The Growlithe looked happy as he ran out to fight the Oddish.

"I guess z'hat's one way to look at eet." Sasha said, still a bit shocked. How can she be so... The girl was cut off from her thoughts by everyone speaking up to agree to Mike's request. Mistu, Kilik, Kasiya, Keegan, she assumed Nina and Sabrina had already consented as she saw both of them watching in silence.

Sasha looked ahead in thought. Sure, Mike had kept a terrible secret, one that normally would shatter any friendship, but...seeing him so broken, so remorseful, it wounded her. Listening to him speak of his own death with a seemingly genuine lack of emotion, or his erratically changed and psychotic behavior, there was no possible way he wasn't tearing himself up inside. Sasha looked around at her friends. They all believed in him. He had rushed to save her from Team Aqua after they had only known each other for a day at the most, it would take a monster to deny him the help he so rightly needed, so rightly deserved.

Filled with renewed vigor and confidence in her friend, Sasha stood up. Her brow was furrowed in anger towards the man that did this to her friend. "Oui!" she practically shouted. "Mon petit héros, I am also with you! You have the help of Sasha Jennings Beauchamp z'he Fourth! I will do everys'hing in my power to help you redeem yourself!"

------

Mike banked that his former friendships, however strained they may have become due to his minor...shift in behavior, would pull through. He had some confidence, but there was that part of him that felt that his friends might just reevaluate his worth to them now that his true colors had come to the surface. Much to the boy's surprise, Mitsu, of all people, was the first to reply. He expected her to stay silent until everyone else had agreed and make her choice then. "A-alright, Mitsu!" Mike said with a little laugh. "That's what I like to hear!" Kilik agreed, but that wasn't much of a surprise. The two were a pretty good team, and he had helped him trash the Aqua base just a few days prior. Not to mention, he was the last person among them to make judgement calls. Mike had already prepared a list of guilt-ridden comments to coax the boy to see things his way should he have backed down, but thankfully that wasn't the case. Like he had a choice in the matter. Mike said with a slight smirk.

The boy's face flushed with worry as he saw Kasiya fall as she made her way to him. "Ah!" he yelped, rushing over to her. He pulled a small piece of cloth that remained from his and Nina's battle that clung to his shorts and knelt down and gently wiped her knees with it, making sure not to have bare skin contact. "Oh course." he said softly, a small, almost bashful smile appearing on his face. He looked up at her. "There are many things I wouldn't be able to do without you, Kasiya." He didn't realize it, but the eyes in which he was looking up at her were starting to shine with tears. He chuckled, a single, orange streak running down his face, hitting the ground with a small sizzle. Mike stood up and looked at the girl again. He couldn't help but smile at the girl's unquestioning loyalty. "I don't know how you deal with me." he said with a curt laugh. His heart fluttered in his chest as he struggled with the urge to wrap his arms around the girl and pull her close.

Mike's expression turned to an almost sinisterly pleased smiled as Keegan, the one he was most concerned about, agreed. "Oh-ho-ho-ho you know it." Mike said in reply to Keegan's request to smack some sense into the man personally. He walked over to the edge of the arena, looking up at his friend. He gave the red-head a quick lookover. He was much taller than he was when they were kids, and knowing the boy's temper, still got into the occasional scuffle. "You might just be the most important person on this...mission." the boy said with a shrug. "Everyone in Lavaridge knows that you're one of the best scrappers in town, and from what I've tested, a pretty damn good trainer." There was a reason he had asked the boy for a battle back home, and he had passed with flying colors. "Hee-hee-hee," the boy cackled, lifting a hand to his face. "Not to mention." He opened his hand, a single eye peering out from the gap in his fingers. "Call it...nostalgia, but the thought of beating the s**t out of punks side by side with you just sounds far too good to pass up." There was no doubt in his mind that as soon as they entered, it was going to turn into a massive free for all. There wasn't a single person in the world he would want watching his back than Keegan. The boy had taught him how to fight, some of the teachings being first hand experience. Even when they were kids and Mike was much more...normal, Keegan would always be the voice of reason when Flannery wasn't around. Despite his temper, the boy had considerable smarts, and was a master at knowing what to say around Mike to get him to calm down or to shut him up. That is, unless Mike's anger was directed towards Keegan himself. The boy let out a little chuckle at the memory of all the bruises and scrapes the two had received from their scuffles. Here's hoping Keegan can still throw a mean hook. All in all, he trusted Keegan, and he knew that he didn't need to say that. Keegan just knew.

Sasha's outburst caused Mike to look over to the girl in surprise. He was all but certain she was going to back out after the way she reacted to him earlier, but her eyes burned with the same passion and fire that he wanted. The boy smiled a toothy smile. "M'yeh-heh-heh-heh, Perfect! Wonderful!" he said, still grinning. "You guys are the absolute best!" he threw his hands into the air. "Maxie won't know what hit 'im! HAHAHA!"

"Now that that's settled." Mike said, speaking softly, like he had never even so much as smirked. "I would like a moment to speak with a few of you in private. I'd imagine that some of you have questions, and I have a small bit of them myself." he looked at Mitsu, then to Kasiya. "Kasiya, would you mind coming with me?" The boy looked around. "Hey, P.B., where's Nitro?" he asked.

I saw him leave your room, but I'm not sure where he has go- no sooner had the Breloom spoken than a splash could be heard from underneath them. Out from the lava soared none other than Mike's Charizard, who landed next to the boy. He looked at Mike expectantly, smirking at Napalm, still sprawled across the floor, exhausted.

"Ah! Awesome!" he said with a smile, brushing off a bit of rock from the Pokemon's hide. "As I was saying, would you so mind coming with me Kasiya? I have a few things I'd like to talk to you about in private." He hopped on Nitro's back and patted the seat behind him. "Oh, and thanks for holding on to Camerae for me." he took out a Pokeball and recalled the fossil. "Hope he wasn't too much trouble."

"Now that we have this matter...settled." Blaine finally spoke up. "It is getting late, and I fear I must retire. I suggest you kids do the same soon." The old man lifted his cane and pointed to the door they had all entered. "If you go back up the stairs, you will find yourself in my hotel: The Big Riddle Inn. I will phone ahead and tell Beth that you are my special guests, and she will give you all a room. The girls may share a room and the boys may have the room adjacent." he sighed. "You have a big day ahead of you, so I suggest you get your rest." he turned and walked towards his laboratory. As he reached for the door, he looked back at the boy, now taking off for the summit of the volcano with his friend. "I do hope you aren't making a big mistake, Mike." he said as he opened and shut the doors behind him.

Miharu and Sparkle exchanged glances and took a step back as Sam had started chattering away, as neither of them really knew how to react. Then, the girl streaked across the room like a bolt of lightning to collect her now fully-healed Murkrow, and Miharu looked to her Ampharos, who gave a cheerful smile. "I think our new friend is quite eccentric, don't you?" she asked, and the Ampharos replied with a little nod. Before either of them could really do or say anything else, though, Sam was back again, bouncing around like a little kid on way too much sugar. "Okay, okay! We're going!" she protested as suddenly they were practically being pushed out the door. Sam's giggling was contagious, at least for the Ampharos, and soon Sparkle was giggling along with Sam while Miharu stared at them both like they were crazy. "I hope you can calm down enough before you challenge Bugsy," Miharu said warily. The kid was young for a gym leader, but he'd been tough, that was for sure.

Maipe watched the Oddish dance around and try to find an attack point on the Puppy. The Growlithe snarled, but was really confused by dancing.
"Maipe, Bite!" The Growlithe snarled as he rushed and bit the Oddish, though he didn't get such a good hold as the Weed Pokemon bounced out and gave Maipe a hard tackle.
Man, that Oddish is fast. But, Maipe is faster and stronger in this case. But, Mahnaz still felt bad about hurting the Pokemon when it didn't do anything wrong. Maipe looked back at his boss, looking for an order. "Ember!" The Growlithe breathed a small flame from his mouth; not enough to burn anything around the Oddish, but enough to get it to cry out in pain.
"DISH!" yelled the Oddish. Mahnaz grimaced as the Weed cried out, but this Pokemon wouldn't leave them alone until it was defeated. The Oddish ran towards Maipe and attacked him with the burning leaves, more determined than ever to defeat his nemesis. That's when Mahnaz had an idea.
"Roar!" Maipe obliged as the Oddish ran away out of fear. That was the only way for the Oddish to stay out of trouble with the young Growlithe...only it didn't work.
What the hell do I have to do to get this Oddish to quit? It won't give up. I admire that, but...Maipe needs the help to get stronger.

Claire let herself fall haphazardly onto the bed in her barracks. She let out a loud sigh and looked over to her new Quilava as she hopped up onto the bed. “It’s actually pretty comfy, right?” The Volcano Pokemon nodded in agreement and let out a small ‘Quil’ as she hunkered down. “I guess we don’t need to speak about everything, do we?”

Not for the little things. Kokoro added slyly. But how’re you doing? Kokoro added with some concern. She still hadn’t thought of a way to fill the girl in on her predicament without sounding totally irrational and crazy. Then again, the cover story Team Rocket came up with was already pretty ridiculous, especially with strong characters like that Moti guy.

“I’m fine. I mean, I was surprised when you just started talking to me during that fight, but it some how seems totally normal now that it’s happened, y’know?” Claire added. “I guess things could always get better though…” She absent mindedly grabbed the rainbow feather that hung around her neck.

Well, maybe we should leave here then. To be perfectly honest, this place is messed up and… it’s well… I think they’re not actually helping you regain your memories. You’re different than you were before.

“I-I am?” Claire questioned. “I mean, I can’t really remember who I was before so I guess it is to be expected that I’d be a little different. But to quote a line from a video game, ‘You can’t go forward if you keep looking back’ so I’m just going to focus on the future, and hopefully I’ll recall the important things about my past as time goes by. Anyway, goodnight Kokoro.” Claire said with a yawn as she rolled over. In a few moments, the girl was sound asleep.

I guess so… Kokoro thought to herself. After an hour or so of dozing, the Quilava heard a faint wrapping upon the door. Taking this as the cue to go meet with that hyperactive Yang and weirdo Moti, she snuck off the bed and slipped out the door (using Extrasensory to open and close the door quietly).

Mitsu smiled gently. Seeing all of Mike's friends, and her's too, gather together for a common goal was nostalgic. Just like old times. The purple haired girl's attention was drawn back to Mike as he began to address everyone again. A chill ran down her spine as he looked over to her. It was an unexplainable event and it bothered Mitsu that she should distinguish whether it was good or bad. Maybe it was a bit of both? Or maybe it was just her nerves. Either way, like with all her other problems, she shoved to the back of her mind where they would continue to nag at her, though only if she thought about them.

The girl waved to Nitro who happened to make a grand entrance. He looked even stronger than normal. I wonder if I'll ever catch up to Mike. Or Kilik. Or Kasiya. . . She was glad to see the orange dragon, he'd been one of the first Pokemon Mitsu had met when she first began her journey.

"Thank you and good night Blaine," Mitsu replied quietly to the old man before he retired from the room. Her parents had taught her to be polite and appreciative to those who treated her as guests. . . but which parents? Again the girl shook her head. There were too many things going on in that small noggin of hers right now. And unfortunately the thoughts swirled around and collided with one another until she started to have a headache. She clutched her forehead and right eye with the palm of her right hand, her fingers curling into her purple bangs. It hurt.

"I guess I'm not one hundred percent better yet," she laughed quietly, mostly to herself. More sleep would definitely help and maybe if she got to this Big Riddle Inn fast enough no one would question her about earlier. It was unlikely that she'd escape without a questioning, especially with Sasha there, though there was still a small inkling of hope.

Crenu didn't know what was going on, didn't know what to think or what to do. He just stood there kissing Riza, his heart pounding harder against his chest with every passing second. With her holding him as he held her things seemed perfect. No doubts, no troubles, was this....happiness? Whatever this calm blissful feeling was Crenu didn't want it to stop. He needed this, and it was clear to him now that he needed her. Riza was important to him, someone to be kept close and cared for dearly. His need for breathing was met as he took his breaths with through his nose, so he hadn't intention on stopping which made the breaking of the kiss especially hard. For a split second he was lost, wondering where the feeling had gone, but as he looked down at Riza smiling he found it again. He smiled slightly as he looked at her, but now that the kiss was broken the calm clear state his mind had gone to started to vanish. The blank slate started to fill once more, his thoughts all came rushing back into his mind and cramming every available space in his brain so fast he almost got a headache. What just happened there? What was that? That kiss? It was so...nice. Riza was now important to him, but was that such a good thing? The two most important people in his life were now dead, what about her? He couldn't protect his loved ones, he failed twice. Those close to him ended up hurt, this was going to be no different...wasnt it? One more person to care for just meant one more chance to feel the pain of loss. No no no....this was bad! How could he let this happen? He made himself distant for a reason! How could he be so careless! But...but...but was it so bad? That kiss...that moment...THIS moment... He needed this feeling now. Unsure of what to make of it Crenu just nodded. "Yeah. Lets get some dinner." Hands in his pockets Crenu grew silent as they searched for a restaurant, speaking only when necessary and saying as few word as possible, and would continue to do so through dinner.

"Oh don't worry, I'm totally in control right now! Just a little hyper, that's all!" Sam said brightly. Seeing that Miharu and Sparkle were now moving, Sam stopped pushing them. She still kept pace with them, though she was itching to find and defeat the young Gym Leader. "So, going over the strategy again!" Sam practically yelled, tripping over her own words, "Star I use Ice Beam if need be, especially against the Grass-Types and the Scyther! If that fails, use Miles' Rock Tomb, which is super-duper effective against Scyther! However, gotta be careful, cause Miles will be weak to the Flying part of Scyther! And Devlin has Drill Peck and Fly to use! Hoping it's gonna be easy, but I ain't gettin' too arrogant yet!" Sam realized then that Sparkle was giggling as well, and this made Sam's laughter increase in volume. It was just so infectious! Sam realized however that she was getting a little of control, so she plugged her ears for a moment. If she couldn't hear the laughter, it wouldn't be so contagious! She quickly stopped laughing, and could breathe once more. Her mindset was still the same, however. As they approached the Gym door, Sam could feel her legs shaking and her hands were twitching. She started popping her knuckles compulsively, nervously. Her confidence and happiness started to wane away, though she kept a peppy and upbeat attitude. She didn't want Miharu to worry, or think that she was some bipolar freak. 'Cause I'm not,' Sam told herself silently, 'Just a little...hormonal...Or something...I really should be taking my Zoloft...' she thought to herself, as she pushed through the doors, hoping she looked a hell of a lot more confident then she felt.

Venerax shrugged. “Maybe a cloyster, or a dewgong.”

Then the pokégear beeped. Venerax flipped it open, and pressed the receive button.

Calistra circled one more time before dropping suddenly.

There was a flash from the pokégear. Light streaming from its receiver. The light formed into millions of square as it floated in the air. The squares began to form shapes. And quickly
Calculus formed in the middle of the field.

The beedrill sweep right above the sneasel sending sticky web right in its face.

The camera whirled as it focused in on the pair of trainers in the field with their pokemon. “We’ve got a new target.”

It was safe to say that the battle ruckus between the surfer boy and Andre didn't go unnoticed by Roxanne, and she'd come into the arena just in time to see the Onix felled by the tiny metallic Pokemon. 'Oh, a Bronzor?' the gym leader thought, genuinely intrigued. 'We don't see many Sinnoh native Pokemon here in Hoenn...' she thought, noting that her soon to be challenger and his little companion were now making their way to see her, so she ran back to her usual position to wait, already smiling broadly.

"Welcome to the Rustboro Gym," she said, standing up once the two young men had entered. "My name is Roxanne, I presume you are here for the coveted Stone Badge?" Her gaze flickered back and forth between the two boys, as she couldn't be sure which of the two was the actual challenger.

Katie couldn't help but smile a bit, even though Noa's attack had only been partially successful. She could tell that her Staravia had plenty of energy left, which she thought was a good thing, seeing as she was certain that whatever Pokemon Gardenia would send out last would be very tough to overcome. She still had her own ace left to play, and she had the utmost faith in him, too.

She didn't even have to give the command to dodge as the paralyzed Turtwig's movements were easy to read and predict, and the Staravia gave a loud trill as she easily evaded the Tackle. Katie sighed, and brushed her bangs out of her eyes. She had to admit that she liked the little Turtwig's attitude though, and had Seraphim not dosed him with Stun Spore before hand, he would have been quite a handful. "One more Wing Attack ought to do it," she said, nodding slowly. Noa gave another loud trill and and flapped her wings, giving herself a speed boost as she dove in for another attack, her wings aglow once again.
