Callista's heart started beating faster, Can you explain how it's strange and where it's coming from? I'm having a hard time pinpointing any wounds.

She looked through his systems again, trying to find anything wrong. When she couldn't find anything, she returned to her own body, more confused than ever. "I don't understand..."
"What's going on Callista? What don't you understand?"
Valzar says he's still in pain...but I can't find any reason for him to be in pain...what am I missing?"

I hadn't thought of that...I'm sorry. I'll look again and take care of that. She found some of the tainted blood and worked on sending it out of his system. Why hadn't she seen it before? That worried her. You should have enough of my blood in you to keep it from doing any real damage until I can get rid of all of it.
"Did he get any blood from the vampire?"
"I found some. I don't know why I didn't see it before."
"I forbid this. You will not be trying to take that blood out of him, Little Sister. We can't risk your health either." He pushed Callista out of the way again, gently so as not to hurt her. Pip looked down over Valzar, "I'll be finishing your healing, Brother. I cannot allow my lifemate's sister to come into contact with tainted blood." Pip shed his body and moved into Valzar's to start battling the blood.
((OK, so I'm not all that bright...I didn't think of that...))

((Actually I thought it was the beginning of the conversion ^^ - but this'll work!))
Valzar winced, not just because he was forced to depend on the others, but because he was a source of danger to his own lifemate...he couldn't even care for her...

((I didn't want to push that, and since I wasn't sure where you were going with it...I didn't. But if you want to do that, then we can. I just don't know where the conversion would come from...she gave him blood, but he didn't give her any...at least, not that I remember.))
That is ridiculous Valzar! You care for me as best you can. It's not your fault that Pip is a stubborn jerk who won't let me care for my lifemate. And it's not even your fault that we're in this mess. I'm the one who forced all this by not doing what you said in the first place.
Pip was making short work of the tainted blood, getting an inside scoop on Valzar as he did so. The male was straddling worlds, a foot in the mortal realm and foot in theirs. He could see the stress it caused him and his lifemate. She didn't look like she'd been to ground in days.

((It's not so much 3 exchanges from both parties - the non-Carpathian just needs 3 good doses of Carpathian blood and we've had that.))
Valzar struggled against the male's scrutiny. Get him out of me! he cried desperately. He couldn't allow anyone else to control him, not again...

Callista pushed herself in between Pip and Valzar. "Stop! You're hurting him!"
Pip pulled out quickly, "What? I'm healing him, not hurting."
"You don't understand. Valzar doens't like others around him, much less in him. He only tolerates me healing him because it's me. So get out of him."
Pip shook his head again. "The strangest family I have ever seen. I'm beginning to think I'm mated to the only normal one..."

Callista felt the pain well up in him. "Valzar!" You have nothing to apologize for. Pip is an arrogant jerk. He could stand for someone to tell him what to do for a change. She did a quick inspection of his body, paling at what she found. "Oh no..."

Serena pulled Pip back into the shadows with her. "Let them have some time alone...We can watch from here to keep them safe.
She moved and nuzzled his hoof. "If only..." I'm sorry Valzar...I didn't expect this to happen...I just had to keep you alive...I'll try to keep you from feeling all the pain.
