The struggling becomes less wild as they begin to stop fighting each other. They manage to get to a seated position, one leg in front of each of them. They totter uneasily as an arm wriggles against a round-rimmed black object on the deck.

"Let me pick up my hat!"

"It's my hat!"

"I purchased it before you even existed!"

"I only ever let you wear it whenever I'm not around!"

"I dare say you have that quite backward."

"I'd say" danny commented as she came up to the 'two', albeit that two was not quite what she saw. Ms Bruno appeared to be occupying the backside of myles, sharing two legs and two arms among them.

"At least you two can agree on a hat," Danny commented. "Trying to de fuse yourselves Ms. Bruno? seemd it only partly worked."

~captains cabin~
after the captain stormed out toward whatever had blown up, jen realized that she had been left alone in Capt. Danny's room. Her curiosity hummed as it led her to snoop.

lots of spare parts and arms were in a few chests and boxes, but the room was otherwise plain, aside from the size. one box held some scary looking gun attachments and she shied away from that. one little trinket in a desk drawer caught her bright eyes. a compass, no bigger than a silver coin, and looking like a childs toy. she opened it and watched as the needle pointed all over the place and settle on something. with nothing better to do, she followed the odd compass around the ship, ending up on deck.

~Deck~
on deck she watched the compass needle and walked where it pointed. without realizing it she had crossed the deck after going in circles a few times. bumping into the legs of the captain brought her back to the present. Then she saw the man from the galley somehow with a lady growing out of his back.

"What on earth?" she wondered aloud, still holding the broken compass

(Nice to see that this is still going on. I am going to proceed to contribute little as always. I'm changing my character's last name to Vangerov, if that matters to anyone.)
Hearing the boom, the Professor left the site of his phantom briefcase to go see what was going on out on deck. He looked around nervously, assuming somebody got hold of the unstable compounds he brought on board. "D-did anyone die out here?!"

"No dead professor, thank goodness. But perhaps a almost birth seems to be the problem. Two souls seem to be stuck with one body." she looked down as jen bumped into her legs. She wondered where the compass came from but didn't ask. looking back at the merged duo she pondered but couldn't figure out what to do. mad science of this level was beyond her. she could fix a faulty engine, but bio-mechanics were not her area.

"Anything we can do tho help, Sylvian?" she asked.

"Hmm, sounds like a case of schizo_," the professor looked into the distance before finishing his sentence only to see Sylvian budding from Myles. He gagged a bit "I'm sorry, but I have nothing."

They manage to get to their feet and put their hat on their head. Sylyian tilts it back, covering Myles' eyes.

"You can find a veil or a cloak or something to cover this unsightly growth behind me."

Myles tilts the hat up, the other side going down into Sylvian's eyes.

"Look at it this way, Daniel, I'll be much more able to keep track of her. I've got eyes in the back of her head."

Danny wondered how in God's name their anatomy worked. it looked like they had been glued together, one half of each, but facing opposite ways. She couldn't comprehend how to fix that, She was more of a minion in the whole spark sense. or a test subject she thought wryly.

"Since nothing is broken out here, I'll be heading back to my cabin I guess, unless you need assistance?"

Sylvian tilts the hat back into Myles' eyes.

"No assistance at all, Captain. I'm sure you have some feminine issues to go attend to, so feel free to continue minding your own business, I shan't stop you."

Danny rolled her eyes. It had been Ms. Bruno's gloop that had changed the captain from a him to a her.

"not so much as you'd might think, I am still mostly metal, so only thing i might have an issue with is my fashion sense. My emotions and are all out of wack. Just have the clanks clean up the deck." Danny shrugged and headed back to her cabin on a route that took her past the bridge first.

---
~bridge~
Danny went right to the hole where she had her fateful plunge. only to find that the hold had been patched, almost to the point that you couldn't tell if a hole had even been there. "Kay?" she asked the ship, "Whatever happened to my wings? I didn't have them after I fell in the gender slop."

"They got caught in the edges of the hole and came off when I pushed.... I mean you fell in" the ship, talking into her head sounded a bit guilty at its actions for once. "You no longer need those to interface with me anymore, so the clanks took them. I believe there is a spare steam jumper in the hold somewhere, If it hasn't been carted off by the sparks machines."

"A jumper you say," Danny mused over that, a jumper was easier to fly around with, and had greater control than her mosquito like wings she had before. "Ill go see if i can find that, I still have to take care of you after all"

deciding to go to the hold first, then retire for some sleep,(the ship would let her know if something was up) she went hunting for that steam jumper.

---
Hold~
"Now where would I be if I was a jumper pack?" Danny asked the empty hold. The lighting in here was not as good as the rest of the ship. Cargo didn't need light to see.

Danny searched for the jumper, a contraption that consisted of twin nozzels mounted on swivels that acted like mini rockets. They were much faster and easier to maintain than a pair of brass flappers like her old wings.

After several minutes of rummaging around crates of junk and other things she found them packed in with empty canning goods. Her heart sank a bit at the sight of the rusted and scuffed pack. It would need work. but the parts were all there.

Tucking her new hobby under her arm she headed for a rest.

~Time passes as the clock ticks by~

[bridge]
A few days of realative normality had done the ship and its crew good. While there was still the issue of the spliced duo of myles and sylvian, things were on schedual.

"How much longer to the Anachronism at our current speed Kay?" Danny asked for the pilots chair.

"Only 3.6 more hours, Capn'," said a voice from the air. Yesterday Danny installed a speaker that allowed what Kay, the ships intelligence, to speak to the non mechanical. Danny wasn't sure there was way to make the thing less perky though.

"I'm more adoreable that way!" the ship said, reading the captains thoughts, literaly. Captain Danny just shrugged and grinned. They would be back at the guild city-ship soon, hopefully with a nice profit from the cargo and a new job once they got there. She would have to set up a destination with station master. He would be able to direct passengers or merchants to the Khaos if there was any potential clients.

"Are we within comm distance yet?" she asked.

"Just got in range, boss" Kay replied. "Good open a line to the Guild port." Dany directed picking up a handheld mic. running the bridge with the ship itself as the bridge crew was so easy that she didnt even need a clank on the bridge.

a moment later a crackle of white noise burst out from Kay's speaker and a male voice responded, "Airship Khaos, This is the guild ship Anacronism, we read you loud and clear. Do you intend to dock with us? over."

"Affirmative Anachronism, Cargo run from Cog Island with a load of refraction crystals and alloy cogs. over." the voice paused for a beat then resonded "You will find a good market for the crystals," the voice cracked a bit and danny thoght the man must be trying not laugh, "You are clear on vector Delta vega niner to dock on the upper ring, port number 6, berth 2. over."

"Roger that Anachronism, Over and out." Danny's face burned, what had that guy been laughing about?

"You got duped thats why," Kay snorted, "YOu got played by whoever sold you those cogs. alloy cogs, HA! Nothing but a great pile of gears. you bought scrap iron, boss"

~on deck~

Myles is leaning back against a rail, facing toward the bridge. Or is Sylvian leaning forward against the rail gazing out at the Anachronism?

"We could put on quite an act with this look, you know."

"I refuse to let you put me on display like some sideshow freak! No, I'll be staying on board. Triskadeca and Nought will do my errands."

"And if I don't care to be stuck aboard this ship every time we dock?"

"Neither of us can move if the other resists. You can't make me go."

Bridge
The professor watched as the captain left before looking back at Myles and Sylvian bickering. Seeing as they did not want assistance from the captain, Dominik ensured himself no role in this scenario, slowly backing away before scuffling off to his cabin to see what other damage his phantom briefcase may have caused.

Jen shook her head, breaking the long stare she'd been giving the half-and-halfer. That was almost too weird for her. as the excitement seemed to be over, she shyly approached the pair.

"If you don't mind my saying so," she said in a small voice, "It looks like you had a apparition malfunction. My Grand-dad hear about those, supposed to zing you from one place to another. but that idea was tossed out because if two people happened to go the the same place at the same time.... something like you happens." she fidgeted with the broken compass thingy, "Could you use something like that to take both of you to different places?"

Jen was trying to be helpful, but what little she knew was from what she heard in her Grand-dad's workshop.

Sylvian says, "Might as well suggest a guillotine. Entirely beside the fact that there's several thousand reasons those things are too dangerous and unpredictable to use, we've only got enough parts for one body between us."

Mylian adds, "I get dibs on the heart, you can have the spleen, Syl."

"In that case I'll take the brain. You don't need it for anything, you're as small-minded as this girl here."

"That was uncalled for. She was only trying to help, and it could sort of work if we made a pair of incomplete half-clank bodies and divided ourselves between them. The brain would be the tricky part, since we're both using it..."

"I refuse to even hear this line of reasoning for a moment longer. Though I could construct a cogitation engine powerful enough to more than adequately replace half of a brain, there's too many half-clanks on this ship already. Add another pair and it would be positively common."
