LunaInverse Well, Stream and I enjoyed the movie. I haven't read many Sherlock Holmes stories, and I don't remember Sherlock being quite as eccentric as he was portrayed in the movie. But it was amusing none the less. But you know, genius, insanity, sometimes there's not much difference. xd Hahah, yeah. xd That's my issue - I'm a big Holmes nerd. I love Doyle's stories and I've got a pretty set image in my mind of How Holmes Must Be.
From what I've heard, the movie's Holmes is very...different. Crazy, hyperactive...actually interested in women. xd
I think it's just going to be an issue of me successfully convincing myself not to expect Basil Rathbone or something.

And I think part of the attraction is that she apparently has outsmarted him not once, but twice in the past. I believe Watson's take on the situation is "Holmes, why is it that the one woman you're interested in is a criminal?"

Wait, do I smell an Irene Adler appearance in the movie? I kept hearing things about how this version of Holmes was a womanizer or something and it was just so very out of the norm. gonk But if it's Irene or an Irene-alike, then I don't think that would be as weird since she is The Woman.
Meh, I'm probably going to cave and see it soon. xd

Me and Dill went out to see it today. We both enjoyed it. I was kind of hoping to see an orangutan reference.

You know, sometimes I have a real strong urge to respond to some AMC trolls. Not because they make me mad (most trolls make me laugh, because AMC trolls nowadays are just poor knockoffs), but just because it's been so long since I took one down. But alas, I resist.
I hate maturity sometimes.

LunaInverse Rae x Rae Rosa's mom proclaimed me her drinking buddy after throwing massive amounts of sake my way gonk Oh dear. Sake is good, but potent, stuff. Even Stream and I are careful when drinking it. Fortunately I have a better tolerance than someone my age who drinks as infrequently as I do should. Unfortunately, her mother can "drink like a fish" (in Rosa's words) and therefore... gonk
Last night was full of chardonnay. Why am I suddenly frightened for Vegas?
