Kawaii Kool Fenrir Fenix Gotta see how anything could manage to survive a nuclear blast. Is he part cockroach/twinkie? I don't know, exactly. Well, he has transformed like about three times already in the fight? From what I can see, I don't think I can win this match. But with my character's willpower, I don't think he would be able to win, either, without destroying the entire arena. So, basically, we're in a stalemate for the time being. rofl He only transformed once. His power sources however changed a couple of times. Least, I'm not putting him into that Deity status to fight. But it seriously sucks that the only way he can win is to destroy the whole damn place. xd Though, I'm loving the predicament.

Yes we do.
I'm actually looking forward to HoH, despite how this thing is being, overall. But hopefully no ripping off of hands this year.

Yeah Fish, that kinda leaves us in a bit of a pickle...either I win and just decide Tac wins next round or you win and have to go through the entire process of fighting my only character that I see as better than Mindblaze, though incredibly less deadly. (Better=/=more pwnful, just so much more fun to play)

I would need a break of a week or two before I started another fight with one of your characters with Rivven. And some time plotwise with anyone, otherwise; trouble.
If we say the next round is tomorrow, somebody'll be fighting a Rivven unconcious in body's recovory from bloodloss, fatigue, and lesser injuries (I mean, he's got the s**t beat out of him, but he's never actually been hurt, really, except for a few full body bruises from concussions). You just kinda fall down from this stuff as soon as adrenaline and pure human will wear off.

HoH will blow this thing out of the water.
Simply 'cause GTB is like a bastardized, uncensored, illeriate version of HoH.

Deity got a look at HoH - he didn't think it too appealing...might look again, tho'. Sounds more fun to watch than to participate in...

Diety is entitled to his opinion. I however, think that a spectrum with a tight control on how far you can take powers, no projectile weaponry, and more hand to hand than casting of Doom Fire 3 from across the arena at each other makes it a much more fun event.
At least I assume these things. Not like I read last year's.
Also: Owle Isohos will be entering, with her character; Owle Isohos. This is very amusing for many reasons. But despite that, she's got a trick up her sleeve which is leading me to beleive that any of her fights will be simply amazing.

I've looked HOH over. Not very appealing, personally. Fact, to say that a majority of it's more literate [Vahn, I can't help but point out the high-a** level of irony in the fact that you called HOH a literate version of GTB, yet, misspelled literate in that very sentence. XD] would be.. neh.
Not my cup of tea. Mad kudos for the Guilty Gear-ocity, don't get me wrong. Oh, but still, I'm sure it'll be an entertaining time to be had.
Iiiin HOH '06 [from what I read,] there seemed to be.. a lot of unorganized debate in the assorted topics. I mean, a damned lot. I'd say the amount even dwarfs GTB's "debates", and that is God awfully horrid.
On a plus side, there's a bunch more interacting in HOH, so it does have an interesting atmosphere.
'07 should be damned good, though that's a 'wait-and-see' deal to me.

People are always put off on something when they find they have to be restricted.
Yet it's for the best really.
No one wants to sit around for a year in asingle tourney. Week, tops for most tournaments of good caliber (trading card games, martial arts, etc).
The no-killing rule also put off many people for various reasons, but the old addage applies: "It's easier to kill someone than to just not kill someone."
I admitted it many times that the first HoH was a trial stage and wed be watching out for any flaws or problems that would be adressed as they came. People had to get used to the format and they were basically guinnea pigs.
85% of the problems we had have been fixed for this year and things should go a lot more smoother-- with room for improvement as always.
That being said--- every event has its issues.
GTB came after the first HoH, and I think Clash was trying to make it as HoH should have been in his mind.
Didn't quite work out.

Couldnt've agreed more if you'd added a :Flex: at the end of that.Vahn Kyonuske Yet it's for the best really. No one wants to sit around for a year in asingle tourney. That being said--- every event has its issues. GTB came after the first HoH, and I think Clash was trying to make it as HoH should have been in his mind. Didn't quite work out. Aye, many events have issues. However, I think GTB's are more.. linear, shall we say.
The owner's multi-month leave. The worry that it wouldn't continue. The staff upheaval. The fact that the most active members & staff are promoting other events more than, bluntly, they are supporting this one. The constant, constant arguing. The minor rule changes from the beginning. Etc.. etc..
I think the biggest problem with GTB, is: the area outside of the matches. There's too little incentive for roleplayers outside of the contestants to go to those topics; hence, you have a roleplay tournament.. with relatively little roleplaying, outside of the matches.
Then, throw in the horridly uneven progress of the branches, the different sizes of said branches, the people joining with 5 characters, the "Ertai Vexics".. and you have how this guild is currently. Bit'o'pandomoneom. Relatively dead, in fact, in terms of interest.
That said, I'll still enjoy this thing until the end. But as you also brought up: when will the end come? Jello, why can't you release the match topics in Barton Round III that're already decided & have no variables in whom will contest in?
Aaaand, time for some Photoshop'ing.

Fish, there's an IC week between rounds, I stated earlier, regardless of how long we take OOC to do things. Aye, Vahn, GTB is more or less 'anyone who wants in is in', with no real rules. Survivor advances. HoH is structured, organized, and controlled... thus making it actually run without people trying to exploit loopholes to get their opponent DQ'd or suddenly having three miles blown sky-high. The Fierce Deity Sounds more fun to watch than to participate in... That's the idea, hopefully. It's the only televised RP event you're going to find. Like pro wrestling, only with professional fighters from all over Gaia. You step up, you throw down, and the whole time the camera is rolling. Showtime. Psychofish Also: Owle Isohos will be entering, with her character; Owle Isohos. She's not using Fluffy anymore? Typhoon_Omi Iiiin HOH '06 [from what I read,] there seemed to be.. a lot of unorganized debate in the assorted topics. I mean, a damned lot. I'd say the amount even dwarfs GTB's "debates", and that is God awfully horrid. Most of the drama in that regard, I think, came from Ertai and Noire when they found out that they'd lost because they fight like a headache. Apparently they can't understand that it's about how well you fight, not about how many psionic powers you use to predict everything your opponent does after he does it and apparently react before it happened. Vahn Kyonuske The no-killing rule also put off many people for various reasons, but the old addage applies: "It's easier to kill someone than to just not kill someone." This is so very true. It's a much easier thing for someone to show up in a mecha suit and fire a chaingun across an arena, or for someone to suddenly erupt a collumn of pwnage on their enemy than it is for someone to beat them down the old fashioned way and have enough control/restraint to do so without trying to rend them into molecules. We wholeheartedly support injury. Though you'll get kicked out for murder.

I give this as a solution to Mindblaze vs Rivven continuing into Rivven vs Tacitus. Mindblaze stops burning his own mind in favor of keeping hold of the minds he still has because he's a greedy b*****d.
Rivven is either escorted to the infirmary or taken there unconscious. Assuming the matches are posted Tacitus goes to see him and speed along his recovery, hopefully there when he arrives or wakes up, depending on consciousness, and stays until he's ready to fight.
Tacitus is the highest ranked Cleric of his order, followed by the Ageless Sentinel and the Tacitus that swapped places with him in this timeline when he was banished from it. Divine healing and invigoration by the grace of a neutral deity ftw.
If anyone else bothered to use the infirmary like...ever, Tacitus would likely show up. >.>
