The emancipation of the woman began very late in Germany and still continues.
The equal rights of the genders were legislated in the German law only in 1958.

In spite of the legal equal rights, different treatment can be ascertained, especially in the professional life.

Women in the same company and occupation earn about twenty-two per cent less than their male colleagues.

These salary differences can have developed by different factors e. g. men have more extra hours or
they have high professional positions.

However, not all reasons are so harmless and easy to explain for the salary differences.
There are still men who think they are better, more intelligent and their work is more “worth” than the work of a woman.

Just because there are still such people, I think it would be very wisely legislated a law which provides for the fact that such salary differences don’t originate from people with Stone Age views

However, is it not easy to explain the reasons for payment differences. And not all of them so harmless as you can see at the first sight.
There are men who think they are better, more intelligent and their work has more value than the work of a woman.

In my opinion it would be wisely to enact a law which show that man and woman have the same status. I dislike policiticans with Stone Age views.
