well, it turns out shinya did reveal his 'secret'...apparently....
he wrote this in haiiro no ginka:
'When you guys receive this issue of FC magazine, I would have turned 30 by then. When I was 20, I promised that I shall reveal some of my secrets. Therefore I shall tell you something everyone is dying to know...
Firstly I'd like to tell you guys why the members always call me Yamochun. The reason for this could be traced back to when I was 17. At that time I was called Shinemon by the members, simply because my stage name was Shinya, so they picked this nickname for me. Then one day, the guitarist Die started to call me Shinyamon, soon afterwards he decided that this name was way too complicated, the next day he just dropped the last 3 characters and called me Yamon instead. So then everyone was called me Yamori... After a few months, they just settled on calling me Yamochun.
Although I do intend to tell you more, I'm running out of space to write.
Oh how unfortunate, we shall continue in the FC issue when I turned 40. See ya.'

i really hope this is a fake. it's so anti-climatic Aww... That's almost disapointing. I was hoping for something really dramatic! Where did you find it? I hope it's fake... If memory serves me, however, Shinya said that his turning of thirty would involve his 'lovelife' and related issues. Also, Shinya doesn't seem to be the type of person to be too embarassed by a nickname if it didn't bother him with all the fansevice back some years ago, even if he's shy... I'm kind of the same way (Himechan is also a horse)
