Meanwhile, the other Houses have 2-3 people who are active.
We need more people to post, everywhere.
Especially the Common Rooms.
What else could we do to make everything a bit more active?

i have an idea make each thread in the rp area have a contest for nothing but house points and like 500 gold or something super cheap
that way the war for house cup will get more interesting and the ravenclaws who are the least active would still have a chance to win
make a new contest for these threads like every other week or something
have the heads of house and the other minor mods be in charge fo the events in the rp threads that way the main mods can use the time to do more important things

@James: That'd be fun! I love contests. That'd be a lot of contests to think up though, wouldn't it?
@Icee: During Fright week could we have a flock(?) of vampire bats attack the castle? Under the influence of a curse, of course.

Having that many contests at one time will be VERY difficult to maintain. The Mods already have lots on their plate, and the Heads are expected to keep up with their House, AND we can't forget that most of us have really hectic RL. There are only 6 of us on the Mod Squad.
I think the monthly events are pretty good at getting activity up. It's no cupcake planning an event for over a hundred people and making it entertaining for them all. If you would like to put on a contest or something, let us know what the idea is, and I'm sure if it makes sense we'll give you the go ahead.

I don't think the Common Rooms are the best place for a contest, UNLESS it's for an Event.
However, by all means post your ideas.

If we're on the same page...I agree! Maybe you should talk to your Head of House about having some kind of contest for just your House or something. There was a time (ages ago) when I did that for the house-elves.
Gosh I'm neglecting them =/

i thought of a good idea for some contests for the common rooms just thought i would let you all know
first there could be a search through the common rooms type of contests or harry potter trivia or random riddles?
