I'm with you on the Gaia cash thing Mel. The MCs are not just bought with Gais cash but, it IS easier, I think. The evolving items are just obtainable through Gaia cash and the marketplace so it's even tougher. I'd like a lot of the evolving items but I am not here enough time to make enough gold. I was barely able to get the alruna's rose for my character of kenshin belmont and not by myself. A good friend of mine had to help me get it for goodness sakes!
Anyways, I did notice the new name but I left my comments on the real life updates thread.
So, how would you like help with the FAQ anyway? I'm not sure how I can help...
BTW, I have something to report: I visited a few sub-forums yesterday and posted in some threads. I came today and deleted Suma-Kaur's thread called "I'm Back" cuz she agreed that it was no longer needed so I got rid of it. I'm glad she's back and that she's cool about that sort of things. If I'm needed for anything else, please send me a PM by all means. 3nodding

But Hypno, the fact they have given every user an aquarium is wrong if they're only going to be selling the Aquarium stuff in Phin Phang with Gaia Cash and allow users to sell the stuff off for extortionate amounts of Gaia Gold. If they wanted people to use the Aquarium and use Gaia cash, they should have only made the facility available with Gaia cash. You can't give everyone one of these things and then expect them ALL to pay up for it. That's completely hypocritical of their statement "Gaia is a free site where you don't HAVE to pay for anything with real money unless they're special items". I say make SOME Aquarium equipment and fish available with Gaia Gold, others with Gaia Cash if they're better or more interesting. Otherwise, don't give people Aquariums outright. They gave us the cars and you can guy stuff from the relevant shop with Gaia Gold, why not the Aquarium, you know?
Anyway, the FAQ. I'm currently thinking about where I want everything and what I want it to look like. I'll let you know in due course.

Yes, you are right Mel but you should also let them know about it. I agree with you and you have my support in case they ask you or something.
Gotcha! I will be checking out the guild every chance I get so that I can see what kind of changes you are planning on and if I can help out as well.

In short....
I GIVE UP...
* Hope of making this guild prosper with many active members.
* Getting active members to post in more than a couple of areas of the guild.
* Getting active members to post in more than just a couple of threads in whatever area of the guild they post in.
* Hope of the Admin giving us a mass/guild PM system and tick boxes to eradicate inactive members more quickly and efficiently.
I posted several replies in the writer's circle on November 2nd to revive topics, and I think perhaps two of them have been looked at and replied to. Also, of the many topics in each subforum, only two or three at a time are being used.
After having had this guild for around 4 1/2 years and having tried desperately to get a large amount of members who are active regularly for exactly that amount of time - and failing miserably - I simply cannot be bothered to keep putting the effort in.
Whatever happens, happens. Poke me if anything changes...but I don't expect it to.

Gee Mel, that's too bad.
I so far have tried to post as often as I can on threads that seem to need my attention. If I see my user name being last on a thread, I don't bother cuz I don't want to be a spammer or whatever they're called.
A friend of mine is actually a mod here so I suppose I should send her a PM with that suggestion (about the mass/guild PM system and tick boxes). Maybe she can help make it happen faster.
I wish I could do more to help the guild but I don't know how other than handing out prizes for the most active members. Cuz even that idea didn't work out in the long run... rolleyes
I'm gonna look around and see which sub-forums need attention...

Yes Suma, it is sure interesting to find out about other's view points and religions. Some might not be as interesting as others but what the heck...
And yes, I think that if you can make something like a Hinduism related religion for a fantasy story, it could make things more interesting. I think the guild could also benefit if you were a mod here Suma. I'll PM Mel about it. 3nodding

Don't worry about it Suma. It doesn't matter how long it takes to do. I just want to keep track of newer members so they don't get banned immediately if they've not been active within a couple of weeks or so of joining.
We used to do that in the recruitment and advertising thread. Maybe we should start doing that again.
I reinstated you as crew so you can do more for the guild but as and when you can or want to.

Like Mel says, don't worry much about it. I hear there are guilds that don't ban members for almost any reasons and I don't know if it works for them.
You know, I haven't seen the members list lately, maybe I should check it out...
I'm gonna go to a few sub-forums right now to check on them but I won't be going to all of them. I do want to see the Writer's Circle most of all cuz I left a huge post and I want to see if it got any attention. 3nodding I'm gonna see about checking out other sub-forums as the week progresses.

I have invited Diddy Lulu and vampyrdeath to the guild. They are two people I know in real life who live nearby.
DON'T BAN THESE TWO.
