angelofthedarkabyss why do we hate her, heres why, its because she sucks, she was a waste of time to get, and anyone who uses her to fight sephiroth with is a f****n retard
However, based off of your crude assumption, I must be a 'f****n retard' just because I used a good character in the game to do my battles, particularly the ones with Sephiroth and Jenova.
I think not.
First off, as a fan of the game as a whole, she does not suck, waste your time, or any of that nonsense. Don't like it when she steals from you? She'll only do it once if you answer her questions properly when you first meet her, and you can get the asnwers to those questions on practically any guide or faq on the internet now. Also, she's optional. If you hate her so much, then why would you even bother getting her?
Most people hate Yuffie because she stole up to fifty pieces of materia from your party when you went to Wutai for the first time. However, if this wasn't the case, then you'd never be able to get the Leviathan materia, which basically means one less Master Summon materia for you, should you decide to go after those.
Her Doom of the Living limit break is very much like Cloud's Omnislash, albeit with less hits. However, she does so many hits that one use of this limit break can do a sizable amount of damage that can kill most bosses, which the exception of those towards the end of the game, because they have too much HP to begin with.
Here's a warning from a mod: If you are going to express your opinion, do NOT go calling names. It's immature, offensive, and is damn pointless, period. I've already warned others on other threads about name calling. I do not want to have to do that again.
An example of what you said could be applied to this... It is one thing to say that 'Tifa is a skank.' It is an entirely different matter to say 'ZOMG anyonen who likes Tifa is a f****n pervert!' In truth, this is totally not the case at hand, and it labels a group of people that you've never even MET or spoken with as what you described them to be, which is unfair to them and everyone else.
Just don't do it, ever.

I can understand why yuffie is hated. she is kinda annoying.. and the fact that she needs work, her starting limit break is bad, its a real bother to join the group, and she pretty much annoys the party by stealing all the materia and having to go through this whole thing of chasing her around. Then also having to go the pagoda to get the leviathan scales. i have to admit, using her can be very annoying. I love yuffie though, she's just so uppity and is always scheming for materia thefts. i love the girl! heart

Yeah... She steals your materia... But that's the biggest reason people don't like her. I normally get her just to see her comments in the game from time to time. Plus she's funny as all get out when she's on the Highwind! xd But I kinda like Yuffie. Then again, Ninja's are freaking awesome!!! ninja ninja ninja

i think yuffie is a great character! if ur upset that she stole ur materia then u shouldn't become so dependant on it! the only materia i ever used was cure and.. well cure haha. i had other equiped for the sake of upgrading them

Actually, Yuffie is second only to Cloud in my favorite characters list, followed by Vincent and Cid. She just owns that much and with a little effort, becomes a very valuable party member. Not to mention she's the best morpher in the game due to her ultimate weapon. Total ownage 3nodding

I LOVE Yuffie! heart She is my favorite character! Not only do ninja's kick butt! But she totally brings some life to a party that can sometimes be rather dull. I have read a few logical explainations as to why Yuffie isn't that bad, and on all game and movie terms I agree with them. And besides, who could pass up someone as cute as Yuffie? Now come on! heart
Then again, I may be a little biased! Being a Yuffie cosplayer and all!
((I also like Selphie who isn't liked that often because she is "annoying"))

neorothx Simpily Yuffie is a materia theif, she also appears a bit late in the game after you already have a good party. I got Yuffie before Junon the first time around...
