The RPS Guild is for RPing using the simply-named Roleplaying System (RPS) to manage combat. While dungeon crawls are going to be the main order of the day for a lot of people, the adventures you go on are restricted only by the imagination of you and the admin responsible for your adventure (and trust us, we can be very creative if you let us).
So sign up, join together with some other players, and help them raid a dungeon and beat the boss at the end in the name of loot and experience points! Or if freeform is more your thing, go to the tavern and talk, or talk with the admins about setting up your own freeform thread.

Detailed rules for stats are in the forum, but here is the short version:
Everybody's characters start out with 24 points that they can distribute among Attack, Defense, Combat Dice, Magic, Equip, Life, and Special Effects.
[i]Attack[/i] is how good your character is at hurting enemies.
[i]Defense[/i] is how good your character is at protecting themself from harm.
[i]Combat Dice [/i]represent skill in combat, and can be used either to hurt an enemy or protect yourself.
[i]Magic[/i] determines how strong spells your character casts are, and how powerful a spell he can cast.
[i]Equip[/i] is how good your character is at using gear to make him stronger.
[i]Life[/i] is how much damage your character can take before falling and not being able to go on in a dungeon.
You can choose from several different effects like regenerating life, summoning a creature to help you, or automatically hurting anyone who damages you.
