Kamahl stood looking over the burnt bodies of the harpies shaking his head. Not only for the loss of Uro, but for the pointless way these creatures had attacked they should have known they stood no chance. His search for Uro would have to continue, but if he stayed with this group he would get the chance.
Well that didnt seem to go as planned, was anyone hurt?

Sony shook his head as he looked over the scene again. How odd things play out the way they do, he thought. Looking over to Kahaml he shook his head to say he was fine, but Rui seemed to need more attention. The look on her face said it all before she spoke.
"Uro has a bit of a lucky streak. The Harpies were messangers. I guess they found uro's life to be more important."
Sony explained, kicking one of the dead bird women just to spite it.

Aria seemed to be pouting, but over what was a different story. Either she was mad the villain got away, or mad that she didnt get to fight as much as she wanted too.
"I am fine, cant say the same for them though."
She said looking to one of the dead creatures in the ally. She was happy most people didnt ask questions about dead creatures like this.

Rui didn't say anything as she headed out of the allyway, she took a quick look around to make sure that nothing had changed. She was still in a bit of shock as it was. After a few minutes of looking around she decided it would be best if she went to her cart and locked up. Not that she had anything more she needed to do in this town anyways.

She took off without saying a word, she went to her cart and packed up for the day. She could only stay away from her ranch for so long, so she made ready to leave the next day. Then headed twards the Inn where she would have dinner.

Rui remained silent throughout the whole prosess, if you didn't know better you would think she didn't even know Kamahl was there. When she was done locking up shop she lead her skud back to the stable, telling the boy to make sure the skud was ready to make way by daybreak tomarow morning.

When she entered the Inn the barkeep was prepareing dinner for the whole house, so naturaly the place was packed. Rui took a place at the bar and asked for some water to go with her dinner.

Rui was served soup as an appitiser and ate it in silence, only when Kamahl sat down did she remember that she wasn't alone on this trip. She took another bite of the soup before answering the question about her occupation, she would have thaught it to be obvious!

"I am a rancher... I train animals so others don't have to. Naturaly I command top doller."

She said pridefuly. As if to conferm this fact, if he looked through the kitchen the day's trash was being emptied into a verry content looking Pudge gromer's mouth.

Rui continued to dig into her soup, taking occasional sips of her water as she went over the pros and cons of the situation. In all honesty she didn't need any extra help on the ranch, and there was no way she was going to pay for something she didn't nessasaraly need. After fineshing her soup she sat back and waited for the main corse.

"I don't really need any help on the ranch.... but if you must come I will only let you food, and a roof over your head as payment."

She told him as the next corse was placed in front of her.

Rui was in no rush to finesh her meal either, taking thaughtful bites. She was in no hurry to respond, so far a she was concerned he had said 'thanks but no thanks'. So she didn't respond, and ate in silence the rest of the meal. When she was done she requested that her brakefast be braught up to her, as she would be buisy getting ready to go home otherwise she might not eat.

After making sure every preperation for tomarow, so far as the inn keeper was concerned, was taken care of she headed up to her room to go to sleep. She had a long journy ahead of her after all. But just before going up to bed she turned to tell the Tigeral one last thing:

" My offer stands, if you want to work at my ranch be ready to go just after sunrise."

She told him, then went off to bed and drifted into a fitful sleep.

Sony and Aria walked in just after Rui and Kamahl walked up the stairs to go to bed. Sony had no intention of asking what the ywould do next, he figured they were better off away from him and Nahahni for the moment.

Aria wandered in slightly after Sony, her wings wrapped around her shoulders like a cloak while she was indoors. Putting a hand on his shoulder she offered him a smile and nodded.
"It's alright Sony, you cant win them all. Besides, you did the best you could."
She said, letting her hand slip from his shoulder and back to her side.

Sony only really gave her a nod to show he understood, but not thta he agreed. Looking back to Aria he took a moment to think before speaking up.
"I think I shall join you on your guard duties. Are you alright with that?"
He asked, looking at her with a smile before putting his hands in his pockets.
"of course you can! I would love it."
She replied, turning on her feet to walk back outside.

Sony looked over to the barkeep and noticed the Rui's bonzai tree was still down here. Looking back to Aria he waved for her to go ahead while he walked over to the tree and picked it up. Walking up the stairs quietly he made no noise considering the bare padded feet.

Sneaking into her room he set the tree on the table in there and slipped back out, shutting the door quietly before turning and following Aria out to teh walls for a night of Guard Duety.
