Silver had gone to bed late the night before and slept for only a few hours. When she awoke the next morning, Aisrhan sleeping next to her on the floor, her back was somewhat stiff. Oh well, I'm sure a stiff back is nothing compared to what these women must have been through, she thought to herself. Ah, she's still asleep. Best not to wake her yet. Silver got up and moved Aisrhan to her basket bed so she could roll up the blankets. Silver didn't think the girl would notice if she changed quietly as she slept. She opened the door to check the weather and decided to put on some more comfortable clothes to suit the heat. She changed into her brown traveling skirt and an older white blouse with green dragons embroidered on it before slipping her boots on. She put the sling over her shoulder and gently placed the still-sleeping Aisrhan in it. She then grabbed her water canteen and went outside to wash her face and get ready for the day. Silver walked out the door just in time to hear Val mention to Em and the other woman - Shamira, was it? - that the caravan would be leaving soon. Silver finished washing up and set Aishran carefully on the ground. She stretched a bit to get the kink out of her back, and waved to Emelyn and Shamira. She didn't know if they even saw her, but Silver picked up Aisrhan, who had just begun to wake up, and went back to her wagon. She thought she heard movement inside, so she politely knocked on the door first. "Lorelei? Are you awake?"

Lorelei sat up again, stretching a little.
"Um, ah, yes. Yes, I'm awake..." She pushed the covers back, swinging blistered and calloused feet out of the bed. Standing, she turned and began to make the bed quietly.
She really was a mess, what with her dress ripped in places all over, and her hair in a braid that really had seen better days, as snarled and frazzled as it was.

Hearing Lorelei's reply, Silver opened the door and walked inside. Aisrhan crawled out of the sling and wrapped her tail around Silver's waist, peeking over her shoulder with her little arms hugging Silver's neck. "Mornin'," Silver said with a smile. "Sleep well? I believe we'll be leaving soon. I'm sure I have a fresh outfit for you and some boots. The dress may be a bit big for you, but I think the boots will fit just fine." Silver offered the canteen of water to Lorelei with her right hand as she rummaged through her trunk with her left, not paying any attention to Aisrhan who was still clinging to her neck.

"Good morning..." Lorelei stared for a moment at the infant, then reached out and took the canteen, drinking gratefully.
"A... a change of clothes would be much appreciated... thank you..." she murmured.
But her eyes were still on Aisrhan, wondering. She didn't seem scared, though. After all... it was just an infant with a few... odd... features. It didn't seem to be acting any different from a normal baby. Lorelei didn't quite understand what was going on, as... Aisrhan, was it? had seemed completely normal the night before.
Fascinated, the normally shy woman took a step over to where Silver and Ais were, and held out a hand towards the child. "Well, good morning to you, too... Aisrhan, right?"

Aisrhan's eyes grew wide and she flicked out her forked tongue. Her arms squeezed Silver's neck tighter. "Oh, come now, Ais! You're choking me already! I'm trying to find her some clothes - what's gotten into you?" Silver looked up and saw the other woman's outstretched hand. Her voice grew quiet. "Ah, I see. You two were never properly introduced, were you?"

Lorelei lowered her hand a little, looking a tad embarassed. "No, we weren't. Um, ah... I'm... I'm sorry for scaring your, er, daughter." She bit her lower lip, shifting her weight from foot to foot nervously.

Leshya'e followed Val into her wagon and sat down, "Yes, yes...they're just fine...I can go grab them after we talk" She folded her hands in her lap, "You're good at dream interpretations...and I was just wondering if you could, maybe, help explain it..." Taking a deep breath, she began to tell her dream, "It starts with me in the middle of a field...all alone. Suddenly this bright glow happens and the edge of the field is surrounded by all these people in black robes...I'm scared...then they start to close in on me, so i run...the next thing i see are these skeleton hands coming at me...after that I normally scream and cry and wake up" She chewed her lip nervously.

"Well, perhaps you two can get aquainted while I look for those boots?" Silver put down the shirt she had in her hand and took a step toward Lorelei. "Is that alright with you, Aisrhan?" Aisrhan, realizing that Silver trusted the strange woman to at least some extent, made one of her hissing giggles and reached out her arms playfully. Silver smiled. "That's my girl. You be nice, now." Silver unwrapped Ais's tail and lifted her toward Lorelei. "Don't worry, I don't think she'll bite," Silver said with a slight chuckle.

Lorelei smiled at the two of them, then took Aisrhan in her arms, rocking the infant gently.
"Thank you, again... for the lodging and clothing..." the other woman said, softly, looking down at the snake-like child. "I have to admit... I was rather pessimistic about the chances of finding shelter, after so long on the road... let alone lodging with such kind people as the members of this caravan seem to be..." Now that the woman wasn't flinching at everything she said, she actually sounded quite intelligent... maybe a scholar? Definitely not the little noble's child she seemed to look like.

Silver returned the smile. "No worries, dear. You're welcome to anything in this wagon. Oh, but mind that trunk next to the bed." Silver gestured to a medium sized wooden chest that had flying dragons and what looked like runic symbols carved into the lid. It had a heavy, antique-looking lock on it. "It's locked, but it's safer I warn you, just the same," she said as she laid out a folded green skirt on the table. She placed a likewise neatly folded yellow shirt next to it and then got down on her hands and knees to look under the bed. "Ahah! Found them." She pulled a pair of leather boots from under the bed and set them on the floor next to the table. "I usually have two or three pairs of spare boots, but we haven't been to a town in so long I've been saving these for any special occasion that might come up. I guess this is as good as any," Silver said, smiling at Lorelei. "Now that we're headed to Mulden I'll be able to get some new ones." Silver closed her clothing trunk. "Alright, well, if you would like to wash up, use the rest of the water in that canteen. I have a jug of water in the cabinet as well, but please use that sparingly until we get to town. It's to be our drinking water later. I'll go outside so you can change. I need to talk to someone and find out when we'll be leaving for sure." She reached out her arms to take back Aisrhan, who had surprisingly behaved herself. Silver had half-expected her to at least pull the woman's hair.

"Oh, you were saving them...?" She eyed the boots, nibbling on her lower lip again. "I... I... thank you..."
Lorelei surrendered the child back to her mother, smiling a little again. "Um, ah... if Shamira is out there, can you tell her I'll be out soon?"

Silver took Aisrhan into her arms and the girl made herself comfortable, as always. "Don't worry about it, really. I was only saving them because we haven't been anywhere in a while. Like I said, I can get some new ones in Mulden. We're needing to pick up quite a few things from there anyway." She took a step toward the door and turned back around. "And yes, I'll tell her for you." Silver smiled and nodded before excusing herself and Aisrhan from the wagon to give Lorelei some privacy.
Silver walked over to Em's wagon where she and Shamira were talking. "Mornin' Em. Mornin' Shamira." Silver looked at Shamira. "Lorelei asked me to tell you that she will be out soon... Do either of you know when we'll be leaving?"

Val looked a bit surprised, "Must of been a stressful dream Leshya'e." She sat down at her normal table and started to think on it a bit.
"Let me see, an open field alone... that's vunerability. People in black robes, black is a normal color for darkness, death and them being skeletons, more death. So we have you being vunerable to death." She frowned. "Dosn't sound good so far... I know let me see there's a bit more." She paused a bit crossing her legs and fidgetting with the beaded scarf lying on the table.
"Oh forgot about the bright glow, hmmm for some reason that makes me think of Anezka. Seems you are worried about her growing into an unfortunette, or possibly afraid what would happen to her if you die? Either that or it could be a premonition to watch for what happens in the future. I don't know of any undead around here, have heard old folktales of undead lurking around the marshes and Dark Bane Island but never around here. But I would think that it is a warning to be careful non-the-less."
She waited to see if Leshya'e had anything to add about the dream. Dream interpretation always worked best when having the dreamers input more than the interpreters.

"Well...I guess that makes sense...but, I was having this nightmare before I had Anezka...even when I was a child...so it couldn't possibly have anything to do with her." Leshya'e lowered her head and sighed, "Although...something has changed about it, since recieving Anezka...the field...it was all green before...but now there were flowers here and there...Lily of the Valley, i think"

Caroline and Rojiza sit on the steps to Mountain Air. Rojiza, in a moment of peace, is curled up in Caroline's lap asleep. This gives Caroline a chance to look around and to not worry about what Rojiza's doing and what trouble she's potentially getting herself into.
