Irvine smirked. He drew his blade up, letting it rest on his shoulder. He walked down the gazebo steps and onto hard cement. Lightning crackled and sizzled, burning Irvine's footprints into the ground. Irvine approached, his silver hair blowing in the slight breeze.
"Good. Because after I kill you. I won't feel guilty about it. And your right. I am no hero. Just the man who's gonna kick your sorry a**!"
Irvine stepped several feet away. He stood sideways, both feeted planted firmly. Irvine held out a fist. A ball of white light ignited from his fist and formed into a shield. Irvine was ready. His smirk widened.
"Bring it on."

"This sword is me and I am it." He said, watching Kaiori circle around him. He smirked, building up dark energy is his left hand. "Well...Kaiori...are you going to circle around me like a gnat or are you going to try and take the sword." He chuckled twirling the Black Rose in his hand.

gnat my a** *she rolls her eyes as she speeds up, her magic flowing into the wind, she makes a blue wind tunnel starts to form around Xol*

He just smiles at Irvine as Kaiori's blue wind tunnel begins to overcome him. He waits a few seconds to build up the power of his dark matter projectile in his hand and fires it at Kaiori to break her concentration. Xol then begins to spin at an incredible speed with the Black Rose stretched out, using it to dissipate the wind tunnel.
He lands on the ground and looks to Irvine. "You truly have no idea what the Black Rose is capable of do you? It called out to Abyss to suck his life force out, waiting for a capable owner to claim it. I am it's master now. I control it, not the other way around. It has so much to teach me and I am learning every moment. The secrets it holds are phenominal. Like this for instance..." He chuckled, swinging the Black Rose at Irvine to which an immense black wave of energy shot out. As it neared Irvine it dissolved into a mist, passing around him.
The mist solidified again, but into eight different blades of pulsing darkness. Each shot at Irvine in a different direction, one to each side of him and then diagonally.

Irvine looked all around him. The dark swords were swarming in. Irvine's shield pulsated with light energy. Then suddenly, just as the swords came in close, Irvine's shield surrounded him, encasing him in it's light. The swords shattered and then dissappeared. Irvine's shield also dissappeared. Irvine looked up at Xol who was on a slightly inclined hill. He smirked.
"If the Black Rose is only capable of cheap parlor tricks such as that, then I suggest you get on your knees and beg for your death to be swift. Otherwise, I'm going to draw it out as long as possible."
The truth was, holding off all those swords had cost Irvine some of his energy. He just kept up the strong front that they did nothing, hoping Xol would leave. If he didn't, Irvine would have to end this quickly. Otherwise it would result in a fatality. Most likely his own.

*kaiori simply moves out of the way of the attack but does stop her tunnel, she pulls her wings in close to her body, shooting forwards and coming behind Xol, she trys place one hand over his eyes, as her other arm slinks down his to the hilt of the sword*

(Gaia booted me off right before i could post.) He winces, feeling his sides ache again. Arpegius yells to Xol, "I'm not going to let her die by your hand Xol!" he thinks to himself, -I'm not going to let my chances run out, i will be able to see her again some day, and i will tell her the truth.- Arpegius kneels down fast, then boosts himself up, and past the forcefeild. He lands softly on the ground, turning to where Kaori was. He sees that Xol is gone, and he runs to Kaori, kneeling down to check her lifesigns. He picks her up, and carries her to a safe area, putting her down, and healing her wounds with a mixture of potions he had in his bag. Her health should be normal when she wakes the next morning. He shakes his head, knowing he wasn't there to save her before, but the next time he sees Xol, the battle between them will end in death. "I guess that this wasnt the best time for me to meet back up with you...but here...i was saving this for the next time we could talk Kaori." Arpegius lays a daffodil by by Kaori, in his red armor still he watches her, and protecting her, as he nods off, any sound will wake him up instantly.

*kaiori wakes up slowly, she sits up, she looks at the flower then to Arpegius then back to the flower, she sighs and drops her head into her lap, dark kaiori starts to talk to her in her head, kaiori..you've been working to hard.. you need a break..how about it ? I take of the body for awhile... and you can rest ..., kaiori nods..thats really what she needed, and she knew dark kaiori needed her body so she could trust her* fine..*kaiori stands up and her eyes turn red* ooh it good to be back..*she laughs and walks into the shadows*
