Ya_Herd We're doing Cirque du Soleil La Nouba
We have jugglers and people who flips across the field..tis going to be exciting
These are the songs we're playing:
-Distorted
-Reve Rouge
-Adelina de Maya <--- not sure if that's in La Nouba.
-Urban Ughhh your version is gonna be so much cooler than ours... We only get guard 'cause band budget is always nil. Blahhh. >__> But the drill we have is pretty awesome. :] We're playing the same song selection as you!... Except we're not doing Adelina de Maya. Annnnd I just looked up the La Nouba song list; Adelina isn't from this show.

I'm not sure that the band I'm in has a yearly "theme", because we always march to.....marches. xp I wish we could do cool songs like James Bond and the like.

. . Our show's called Stormy Present, based off the song...Stormy Present! Our wind ensemble played it last year, and I guess it caught with our BD. xD We'll be playing parts from Music for Prague and Bartok pieces. I can't wait till we get our drill on Saturday...it's supposed to have something in it that no marching band has ever done before. =o
It's funny because our BDs gave us our first movement first...then gave us another piece, called The Gathering, to proceed it. Now they say there's another piece to proceed the proceeding piece. Strange, isn't it?
Our show's based off war. Somewhere. In history. Like...World War II or something. Maybe Czechoslovkia? o.o I dunno; they didn't really tell us much about it. Dx s n o w

It's really exciting, we have a custom drill, and the pit has 2 synth parts and a mallet kat (an electric xylophone.)
This might be our year for state!

BabyLacus This year our theme is Jekyll and Hyde. i love it 4laugh My band did that my freshman year. It was exciting. ^^ We did terribly that year, but I love the music.

last year, at my old school, we did Carlos Santana. LAst year at my new school (I wasn't here) they did James Bond 007.
This year at my old school (not there), they're doing Macchu Picchu. This year at my new school (here) we're doing Perspectives. It's pretty cool and original-just for us. wink
