My mother died giving birth to my baby sister who didn't even open her eyes and My dad was always out on a mission so li-wu took care of me until he became a ninja. He was almost Jounin If he hadn't died he would have been one, I just know it." She smiled to herself. "He was so good. He thought me enough to get my to beable to become gennin with this group instead of another age group."

Mai-lin giggled as she saw his blush. "Ok. I'll remember that and take you up some time." She smiled, a small blush on her face. "I'll race you. Last one to the stand has to pay." She said before dashing off towards the ramen stand.

Kei cursed silently as he ran after her. She's faster and she knows it! he ran as fast as he could but remained a few steps behind. "Alright, you win!" he said and shook his head. "You're a pain in the butt, you know that?" He sat down on one of the stools and ordered a bowl of pork ramen. "What do you want?"

"Miso, please." She then turned to look at Kei. "But you love me for it." She said grinning, to let him know she was just joking. She gave him a peace sign. "I could teach you some of the things my brother showed me that made me faster if you want. Then you can get faster too."

Mai-lin pouted slightly. "Awww, you don't love me. I'm hurt." She sniffed fakely and turned away slightly.

Ran had talked with Ninechien for a bit, and then headed back into town. She paused in the road a bit as she noticed Mai-lin at the ramen shop, along with a guy. Giving a short sigh, she walked past without even stopping to inquire who the guy was. Mai-lin seemed to be having fun...
Giving a shrug, Ran headed off to browse for cheap fans... She didnt quite feel like talking to the Hokage, right then. Shoving her hands in her pockets, she chewed on her lip slightly as she continued walking.

"Hey, I'm irresistible to the ladies, I can't tie myself down to one." He gave her a grin and winked. "You think I'm hot, admit it." He picked up a set of chopsticks and twirled them in his fingers.

Mai-lin noticed Ran but pointedly ignored her. She laughed at what Kei said. "Yes you are but I know someone hotter. Much hotter." She looked outside the stand and scanned the crowd. "Him. So much hotter." She said, trying her best to not laugh as she pointed to an old man that was looking at the peachs across the street.

Kei looked to where she pointed and laughed. "Hey, if you like 'em old and wrinkled, I won't stop you." He grinned then broke his chopsticks apart when his ramen was set in front of him. "Itadakimasu."

Mai-lin made a face like she was going to be sick then grabbed a pair of chopsticks as her ramen came. She broke them apart and muttered a quick 'thank you' before starting to eat.

Anekio scratched the back of her head, looking down. "Well...Y'know, I used a kunai and almost killed my Sensei." She laughed after a moment. "Kami, I'm hungry. Want to grab some ramen? I'm sure a new genin will be there."

"Yeah, it is lunch time." Tori said and smiled. "From what I heard, our year had some of the best ninjas the academy had seen in a while. I guess it was because we had Uzumaki Naruto as a teacher, huh?" her smile faded as she thought about her time as a Genin. She was the only member of her team still alive. The other two had been killed shortly after becoming Jounins.
