((Ack! I've been busy a few days and have only been able to get on the internet for a bit, but here I am, and you guys have posted a lot! Welcome, wildcrazyness! I guess I'll answer what was asked of me a few pages back...))

"Me? Well, I cannot really say," Azalia replied to the princess. "My first duty is to the Lord, and my second is to serving your family. Right now, that is where all my focus lies."

((Just so everyone knows, this is a slower-paced RP; there aren't necessarily new posts every day; sometimes it's even a week or two.... I generally wait until everyone has caught up before moving on.))


Merewyn nodded, her mind still half-absent from the present conversation. "I think I shall go --" she was cut off by a voice from behind her.

"Ismeine, good," Prince Aureo was saying briskly as he bowed stiffly.

"I'm not --" Merewyn began as she curtsied, but Aureo cut her off.

"We have wedding plans to discuss. This is your maid?"

"Yes, but --"

"Good. Listen closely, girl, as I believe it is you who shall be making these preparations. The ceremony shall take place here, of course, and in the castle's cathedral. I shall invite my family and some close friends, and you shall invite whomever you wish; after all, this will be the most exciting day of your life, will it not?"

"Actually --"

"Exactly. Now, as for your dress, I will not have my bride in anything too immodest or poor. I know that fashions these days have become somewhat more risqué, but...."

Merewyn looked helplessly at Azalia as Aureo continued droning on about his plans. She doubted it mattered if he discussed this with Ismeine or not; Merewyn had a feeling her sister would not listen to a word. So she gave up trying to point out that the prince had found the wrong twin and smiled and nodded politely at him. Azalia was the one who needed the information anyway.


Ismeine knelt in a pew of the small chapel and closed her eyes and bowed her head. She was not praying, though; she was plotting. In three hours' time, she had her plan. She would not marry Aureo. She would run away.


Faradock sat hunched over in a secluded corner of the knights' table. None of the men dared to sit anywhere near him, so he had his thoughts to himself. He was still forming and plotting. Most would say kidnapping princesses from a warring kingdom in a span of two weeks was impossible, but he knew better. He would observe the Masonian kingdom's weaknesses and use them in his favor. He would manipulate the dame's appearance so she would seem less masculine and knightly. He himself would employ the acting skills no one knew he had and pass for a commoner. The plan was complicated and dangerous, but Faradock would carry it out flawlessly.

Azalia returned Merewyn's look with a subtle face that said "just let him talk". Azalia took mental note of everything Prince Aureo said, even though she knew full well that this wedding would probably never happen. Still, she nodded in agreement with everything, and when he finished, said "Everything will be as you wish, your majesty," and gave a small courtsey.

Janiet got up bright and early hoping to catch the female knight and talk to her before she left on her uncles mission. She figured she would wait near the stable and intercept her before she saddled up. As she went to walk into the stables she heard some inside with the horses and slowed her step. She didn't want anyone to hear her talking to the knight. She decided to hide just outside and wait.
