Kaya smiled softly. "Nothing would make me happier, either." he agreed, finally spotting a sign nearby.

"Let's go, I wanna buy this place before someone else does." he said quickly, his eyes sparkling at the thought of his own place.
Rushing to the Pokemon Center, he located Nurse Joy. "Nurse Joy!" he called out as he ran over to her and bowed quickly. "I'm interested in that old manor on the outskirts of town." he explained.
"Oh, dear." Nurse Joy remarked, a hand shooting to cover her heart. "I thought no one would ever be interested in that old thing. It's practically falling apart." she added softly.
Kaya nodded hurriedly. "I can tell, but it's perfect. MY fiance and I can fix it up before we leave town." he told her.
"Well, if you're sure you don't mind the condition it's in, the owners were wanting 7 hundred thousand Pokedollars for it." the pink haired healer explained softly, certain that the price would scare the young man away.
"That's it?" he asked as he held up one finger. "Give me just a minute to make a call and I'll have the money in hand." he replied with a crooked grin, running over to the phones in a rush, hopping around on the balls of his feet while he waited for a videophone to become available.

{{In case you can't tell yet, this is two things. One gives Kaya a place to send his Pokemon that isn't his PokeBox since he hates leaving them in there and two is that it's a plot device for making the quest for your beauty ribbon easier.}}
Kaya noticed a young girl leaving one of the phones and rushed over, dialing his mothers personal number as he did. A queen she might have been but she'd gotten a phone to keep in touch with Kaya if he needed her ages before he even came to the mainland.
"Hello?" came the woman's Irish drawl. Brayden wouldn't understand a word of the ensuing conversation, considering it was entirely in Pokelantian.
"Hello mother, I have a favor to ask." Kaya replied with a smile.
"Oh, Kaya! You know I'll help you any way I can." Karmica Rayvn replied.
"Well, I've found a nice place in Sinnoh that I want to buy." Kaya started. "My Fiance and I want to buy ti so we have a place to settle down after our journeys are over." he explained.
Karmica's mouth fell open at the mention of the word 'Fiance'. "Oh! My baby's engaged!" she cried happily. "Of course darling, how much do you need?" she asked him after a moment, wiping a few joyous tears from her eyes.
"700,000." Kaay replied meekly.
"Pocket change, honey." Karmica replied as she nodded curtly. "The money will be there in just a moment, as soon as I can get the proper amount." she explained as she walked off screen for a few minutes.
After a bit, the item transference dock on the videophone flashed, and upon opening it, Kaya found the money stuck in a suitcase(Cliché I know, but I didn't want a ahuge stack of money attacking).
"Thanks mother." Kaya said as Karmica reappeared. "I'll be there to help defend the Kingdom as quickly as I can reach Snowpoint." he told the woman, who nodded in understanding. "OH, and tell Krystofer to send the kids up here, they'll love the place and can take care of it while I'm away." he added.
"Of course darling." Karmica replied. "All three of them?" she asked after a moment.
Kaya nodded and the two said their goodbyes. Kaya took the money over to Nurse Joy and handed it to her. "That should be it exactly." he told the Nurse, who looked dumbfounded at the money in her hands.
"Very well...I'll be right back with the deed..." she said numbly as she carried the suitcase to the back with her.

Nurse Joy returned after a few minutes and handed Kaya a piece of paper declaring him the owner of the manor. "Here you are sir. Good luck with those repairs." she said as she turned and walked away. "You'll need it." she commented quietly.
"Well, we've got our own place, Bray." Kaya remarked as he turned to his lover at last. His smile looked like a million watts as he grinned.

And for some reason that comment about it attacking reminded me of those Geico commercials with the stupid stack of money with eyeballs. What really irks me is that someone probably got paid a ton of money to come up with that advertising scheme...))
Brayden had followed along behind Kaya as the prince entered the Pokecenter. He had balked at the amount, turning just the slightest bit pale as Nurse Joy recited the price of the place. Even more so when he saw the suitcase Kaya had retrieved from the telecom. Never having seen that much money in one place, let alone seeing it in person, left Brayden a bit unsettled. Of course he had always understood that Kaya and his family had quite a bit of fortune. After all, they were royalty. But there was something about a suitcase of money that was enough to shake him a bit.
The conversation between Kaya and his mother went completely over his head. At one point he thought he heard something about pepper, but that couldn't have been right, considering what he assumed was the topic of the conversation.
Unless Kaya's parents made money in the trade market.
Which he didn't think was likely. So he stayed out of the way. Most likely out of sight of the camera atop the videophone as well.
He'd have to leave learning Pokelantian for another day.
'With your level of understanding of the language, I'd have to say you'd have to give it a few centuries, boss.' Leave it to Ariadne to pipe up when unwanted.
"Will you ever stop messing around in my head?" Brayden muttered under his breath, which only earned a psychic giggle (a strange feeling, to be sure, and one not easily described. Hey, you try experiencing one and then see if you could put it into better words... thought so).
Brayden looked up from his mental battle with his sarcastic psychic in time to see Nurse Joy hand over the deed to Kaya's new home. He didn't catch the tail end of the Pokecenter staff's comment regarding the state of the manor, however. Kaya's smile was much too contagious for his brain to be working on focusing on anything other than the prince before him.
"Indeed we do," he smiled back, quite beyond being able to help it. Mac chattered off with a, "We do! We do!" of his own, mimicking Bray before settling back down, draped over the trainer's shoulder. He liked the shiny blue thing on his back, he decided. It reminded him of home.

Kaya nodded and gave Brayden a huge hug. "Let's go see just how much work we need to do." he said quietly, taking the younger boys hand in his own. He led the way back to the manor, ready to settle in if there was any furniture left inside.
Hearing a soft rustling in the flowers by the roadside, he stopped and turned to look. A small Starly flew out of the flowers, angered by the prince's footfalls near it's apparent food source. Before he knew he'd done it, he released Geal from his Pokeball and had the Riolu attacking with Ice Punch.
He sighed, though it was with a heavy heart, as he saw the Starly fall to the ground in an icy tomb. It would thaw before long, but it still made him feel awful to leave it that way. He turned back to the manor and began walking again before he was tempted to catch it. He'd never use the small bird if he did so there was no point.

Brayden followed beside Kaya on their way back to their new... home? That was quite the refreshing word. Brayden couldn't help a small happy sigh that escaped him as he walked. Lame, of course, but it was genuine. It could have been interpreted to come from a number of reasons, but the main one was that he had a place to return to. That and it was just plain a gosh darn beautiful day out. That had helped brighten his spirits just by being outside.
He had always considered Fuchsia his home, however, it was more than nice to have a place of his own, along with Kaya, of course. Even if the prince had paid for the whole thing in full. Which stood to question...
"Hey, uh, was that your mother?" he inquired to Kaya, just the least bit hesitantly, as the two walked, "Back at the Pokecenter, I mean," he elaborated after a moment.
"You don't think she minded giving you the money, do you?" he asked. It was still hard for him to get a grasp of the amount of cash Kaya had procured for the purchase of the place. He was still slightly reeling from it. He fingered the ring on his finger for a moment, smiling faintly. That and the necklace Kaya had given him were probably the two items he owned that were most important to him. And it definitely wasn't due to the fact that they were probably the most expensive two things he owned.
He had finished his drink while in the Pokecenter, tossing the empty bottile into a trash can alongside the road as Kaya faced off against the small Starly that had attacked him. Brayden didn't worry in the least about his love's safety. The Pokemon in Floaroma seemed to be weak enough to not cause reason for fret.
Once the two lovers had reached the manor, Brayden pulled out the sign that was declaring the place available, before looking up at the manor. He thought he heard running water in the back, brightening slightly at the prospect.
"So, what do you think we should do first?" he asked Kaya curiously, motioning to their new home.

Kaya nodded, still smiling as he did. "Yea, that was my mother." he verified. "And when I told her what it was for, she was glad to give it to me." he admitted. "Besides, the money will be back in the treasury in no time at all." he added with a devious grin.
"Harmony Island is unique in that it's one of the few places around the world where legendary, rare berries grow." he explained. "Normally, you can only find one or two in one place, but our Island has the perfect climate for growing nearly all of them." he explained. "Most of the kingdoms currency comes from the trade of those rare berries to retailers in the Sevii Islands, from which, the berries are further dispersed to the Mainland for us." he added. "So it'll only be a few months before most of the money is returned to the island."
He finished his own tea, which was getting warm at this point, and honestly tasted even better that way, and discarded the bottle. Once at the manor, he watched Brayden remove the For Sale sign and grinned up at the large home. This was his personal castle and his partner by his side made it well worth it. He didn't care how many Harmonian laws he had to defy to keep this. It was all worth it to him.
With a lighthearted laugh, he turned to his partner and answered his question. "I say we break it in." he replied with a devious giggle and a seductive grin. He blew a small kiss to his lover before he ran up to the front door and headed inside.

((I have a couple of questions. One is more basic, and just out of curiosity.
Are you able to see yourself online in the forums? For example, when you guys are online, it has the yellow smiley online thing. However, under my posts, it says I'm offline. I know that isn't true because I'm online looking at them. I've never actually seen myself "online." Its odd... confused
Second question. Could you perhaps pm me the details on that machine thingy Notaro had plans to build to get to Arceus? I'm trying to incorporate that into his plans. I got uber bored and decided to work a bit at Brayden's past on his profile. Problem is, Brayden doesn't know his past, so I'm kinda doing it from Notaro's point of view. I have the main points almost completed and wanted to flesh out those posts a bit so they're more than just blood-splattered parchment. xp

Brayden listened to Kaya's explanation with a nod, smiling as Kaya explained that the money wasn't really that big of a deal to the nation's deposits.
'Huh, imagine that, boss. You were partially correct with the whole trade thing.' Brayden chose not to point out that it was in a completely different area than he had mis-interpreted, opting to savor his small victory over his sarcastic side-kick.
'Oh, come on, boss, you know I'm the real brains behind this operation.'
Brayden tossed the For Sale sign in the trash can, knowing quite well that they wouldn't have any use for it any longer. He looked up in time to catch Kaya's enticing smile.
Brayden didn't have to think twice, and certainly didn't need any more encouragement, before following after his love indoors. He did, however, opt to recall Mac. The last thing he needed was the Phione parroting back anything he saw or heard inside.
Thinking of which...
'No worries, boss, there are some things I'd rather not know...' with that, Brayden felt Ariadne's consciousness recede from the back of his mind and back to her Pokeball. Closing the door to the house behind him gently, Brayden got his first look at the inside of their new home.

Still oblivious to the apparent traditions and expectations of Kaya's homeland, Brayden trailed the prince indoors, feeling quite well. His spirits weren't dimmed as he took a glance around, however. Even though it was clear this place could use some work.
Mkay, a lot of work.
Despite the faded carpeting, rather dusty decor, and quite a few patches that looked like they were in dire need of attention, Brayden couldn't be happier. Sure it looked like it needed a lot of work. Quite a bit, if you took a look at the ceiling (and floor, and walls, and...).
But it was theirs.
Brayden smiled, looking to Kaya with a slight tilt of his head.
"Shall we?"

Kaya sighed quietly at the sight of the manor's interior. Though it wasn't in disgust at it's state of disrepair, nor the faint smell of mildew...or was that Ammonia? Either way, the faint stench wasn't the cause. It was, in all honesty, a sigh of complete contentment.
He and his lover had their own place to call home, They had plenty of room for their Pokemon and their breeding ambitions when they were done adventuring their youth away and he had a few family members willing to keep the whole operation running smoothly in their absence.
Hearing his love's voice, he smiled at him. "We shall." he replied quietly, as he took the younger's hand and led him up the stairs. He had an inkling that the bedrooms would be hidden away up there.

Brayden followed Kaya up the stairs, gripping the prince's hand gently as he climbed to the next floor. He paused but for the slightest of moments, taking a quick glance outside. Even through the thin layer of dust on the window, it was clear that it was a perfect spot. It certainly was beautiful.
Logic following along with Kaya's Brayden peeked in a few of the upstairs rooms, locating what appeared to be a linen closet and a bathroom, before finally locating one of the bedrooms.
Brayden opened the bedroom door, the hinges creaking slightly, but slowly decreasing in their screech as the door opened fully. Brayden stepped inside, taking a glance around. Other than a bit musty, the bedroom wasn't that bad. He smiled faintly, before going to the window, drawing back the curtain to let a little of the natural light inside.
The curtain screeched its disapproval at that action however.
It took Brayden a moment to realize that it was a Zubat that was hanging out on the curtainrod, napping during the daytime hours. At the sunlight suddenly in its face, the poison bat suddenly found its slumber harhly interrupted, as it dove at the intruder, who yelped, Brayden flapping his arms to keep the bat at bay.
"Sorry!" Brayden offered as he floundered to keep out of the way of the fangs of the bat, although it didn't do much to placate the Zubat. Brayden finally got the window open, shooing the bat outside, before slamming the window back closed, panting slightly.
"Geez... I really need to learn to expect stuff like that," he muttered.

Kaya couldn't help but giggle at Brayden's encounter with the Zubat. "Hehe, ya, I suppose you should." he replied with a small smile.
He walked over to the small door in the corner and pulled it open, expecting an en suite bathroom, considering this looked like the master bedroom. Instead, he found a walk-in closet. So he walked in. He regretted it immediately, as a Spinarak, who'd made it's home in the dark room, fell from the ceiling and landed on his face. He looked the Pokemon in the eyes for a moment as the color drained from his face.
Less than a moment later and he he was shrieking in fear and flailing at the spider in an attempt to get it off. He would rather squish it, but getting it off him was first priority as he flailed about. "Sp-sp-spider!!!" he screamed as he fought the insect, which seemed to have glued itself to him.
"Rak!" the arachnid protested as it jumped down and scurried away through a small hole in the wall.
Kaya fell flat on his back, appearing paralyzed for a moment or two. That arachnaphobia of his is debilitating.

Brayden turned when he heard the shriek from Kaya, watching the prince fall from the closet with a wince as he hit the floor. It took him a moment to figure out what had happened. He spotted the web in the ceiling of the closet a few moments later, however, which explained a few things.
"Uh oh," he murmured to himself, moving from the window. He made it to Kaya a second later, hovering over the prince for a moment to make sure that there was no sign of real injury. He had to admit, it was just a bit amusing, however, he knew that he shouldn't laugh. After all, that fall definitely looked painful.
He knelt, looking over Kaya's face, "You alright?" he asked the prince worriedly, brushing a hand through Kaya's hair to disengage a few web strands that had clung on during the struggle. It then took him a few moments to get them off his own hands, the clingy strands stubbornly refusing to let go.
It looked like their new home had a few houseguests already.

Kaya looked up at Brayden and blushed. He hadn't reacted to anything that way since the Pokemon Tower, back in Lavender town. He was feeling rather childish, right now.
"The only thing hurt is my pride..." he said softly, knowing Brayden would get his meaning. Realizing that he'd not just yelled, but shrieked at the arachnid, he realized just how much of a wuss he seemed like at the moment.
He'd rather be Notaro's slave for the rest of his life than have the love of his life think he was a helpless wuss because of that.

"Are we there yet?" came a whiny, teenaged voice.
"No, Desi. We're just now coming up on the Great Marsh." replied a second, male voice. It was more mature but not in an adult way, but more of a, puberty's-already-come-and-gone kind of way.
"But I wanna be there now!" the girl named Desi whined.
"Stop it, Desi. We'll be in Floaroma faster if you stop asking when we're gonna be there." a third voice replied. This one was feminine, but still decidedly male.
"Don't be mean to her, Sylphie." the other male replied sternly.
"Sorry, Bastian." the one dubbed Sylphie responded.
Desi stuck her tongue out at him before the one called Bastian smacked her lightly on the back of the head. "Be nice." he scolded.
Desi nodded and tried her best to look like a wounded Growlithe. It didn't work.
