Brayden nodded faintly, running his hand through Scarlet's hair reassuringly as he let the girl cry.
"I'm sure he'll be fine," he whispered a repeat with a small smile to the girl as he knelt, coming to her eye level.
"A short while back, I was caught up in a battle. Gin'iro was helping me, and because of that, he got hurt," he admitted, averting his gaze momentarily as he spoke.
"I wasn't sure I'd be able to forgive myself, after all, it was my responsibility. I felt hadn't been paying enough attention to the battle, and because of that, my close friend suffered. It was hard to handle."
"It took a while for me to accept it, but Gin was the one who let me know he didn't hold me responsible," Brayden smiled, "Sometimes the only way to know for certain is to face it head-on. It may be painful, but sometimes we need that, in order to become stronger ourselves." He rested a hand on Scarlet's shoulder, nodding.
"Sometimes we need to face our fears in order to overcome them..." he murmured. His mini-speech was interrutped a moment later, as the crashing from the back of the Pokecenter errupted the ER into chaos. Claiga jumped, ears going back momentarily, expecting trouble, but she setted down a moment later, hearing the Gligar's words. She bristled slightly, however, not enjoying the false alarm. Sulking, she yawned, stalking over to the Pokecenter windows to look outside, pointedly ignoring the group as she pouted.
"I think it sounds like he's up," Brayden admitted, glancing to the door that led to the back of the Pokecenter. He wasn't sure if they would be allowed back there. He recalled Sasha was training to become a nurse, perhaps... no, that wouldn't work. Sasha had looked worn out, he didn't want to impose on the girl. Although he couldn't understand the words the Gligar was shouting, he could definitely sense the tone of panic.
"Perhaps Nurse Joy will allow you and Scarlet back there to help calm him down?" Brayden looked to Kaya questioningly.

After a few more moments of sniffling, Scarlet seemed to have calmed down a bit. Her eyes were somewhat puffy and most definitely red from her crying, but at least she was calm again. She didn't understand all of those big words Brayden had used but she did understand that she shouldn't feel bad. "I understand Daddy Brayden." she said softly as she hugged him once more, letting go after a moment and offering him a watery smile.
At the sound of Star's attacking the nurses, Jester had gone all "Super Fog" mode and floated into the ER, squirting the Ground type in the face with a weak Water Gun, just enough to get his attention. "Form form cast form."(Grab my scarf stupid.) he said as he returned to solid form and floated over where Star could grab the tails of his scarf, then flew quickly back to Scarlet.
"Gli gar? gli gli!"(Scarlet? Woohoo!) the GLigar declared as he let go of Jester's scarf and glided into Scarlet's arms, nuzzling her affectionately as a rather frazzled looking Nurse Joy emerged from the ER. "If you could calm you Pokemon for a moment so I can bandage it's wounds, I'll be done. Just no battling for a few weeks." Joy said as she indicated the gauze bandage only half stuck to Star's chest.
Scarlet giggled and turned Star so Nurse Joy could get at him, but nuzzled the Fly Scorpion Pokemon to keep him distracted. Star let out a sound that could only be described as a contented purr in response.
