Mirror followed closely after Zayn, beating his small wings in anger as they spun on their heels and bolted for the balcony. With a single leap from the building, Mirror focused his mind, hearing that same tingle of chimes he heard whenever he sacrificed himself to the air, and soon he was gliding to the ground with Zayn. Digging his heels into the ground as he landed, Mirror braced himself behind Zayn, noting that he was a taller person than his friend. He was there so that if Zayn lost his footing and was lost to the screaming air, Mirror might be able to block him or catch him before he was in trouble. But being so that his bones were hollow as well, they were both in danger to the tearing maelstorm.
"Stop, fool!" Mirror screamed into the wind, his voice being torn from his throat as soon as it left his mouth.

Odilen had stood in the corner, half-stunned by this turn of events, and half frantically recording what had happened in chicken-scratch writing on one side of her cocktail napkin. However, Zayn darting past and outside stirred her into action - as did BoCo. The tiny chocobo was clearly very agitated and not pleased with the theft at all, and he was shrieking something awful.
Tucking the note-covered napkin into her belt pouch, Odilen ran out to the balcony after Zayn, gawping at the airship. She stood there on the balcony, trying to imprint the look of the thing into her memory.
BoCo, still perched on her head, stood up and flapped his tiny wings angrily at the airship, screeching fit to break something. Maybe it was his connection to this place that made him so angry at it's violation?

//Don't try this at home folks...
The man in which Rin intended to ensnare was well versed in his arts and as he sensed the approaching attack (due to the pulse of mental energy from within the temple), he promptly swung himself to one side to avoid the approaching vine, using the charred tree stumps ahead of him to barricade himself from the next attacks.
Still, the beings made good progress, blatantly ignoring the shrieks of Zayn and Mirror as the strange orb within the bottom of the emerald ship glowed and seemingly teleported each of those fleeing up into it - within moments it was apparent that very little was going to stop them from leaving with the crystal and themselves relatively intact.
"ROAN!" Onion wailed at the top of his lungs, flailing madly as he scuttled towards the door and hopped from foot to foot, "I know you are still here, do not let the harlot get away!" He shrieked, obviously deeply disturbed by the fact that one of his apparent friends had betrayed him.
A long pause followed as the airship began to ascend once more and then, from the depths of the destroyed forest an quaking began to occur, the temple walls seeming to shake as the earth cracked open and fully grown trees rose up into the air amongst the charred stumps - alongside these trees, plantlife of every sort began to tear through the unrecognisable forest seemingly renewed by an unseen yet ever present being.
The rumbling continued as the forest itself began to recreate itself, the canopy becoming thicker than before (in the hope of deterring another attack perhaps) and some of the plants becoming somewhat more ferocious, but, amidst this peculiar occurance was a more important event, for within the depths of the forest surprisingly large vines whipped up through the canopy and soared towards the fleeing ship, wrapping themselves tightly around the mysterious Regalia where they held the large vehicle in place.
For a few moments, Onion Knight allowed himself to smile as the ship and vines fought against one another for supermacy, it even appeared as though the vines and the druidic magic behind them were going to win...
"Do not give up my boy, you can do it!" Onion cried again as he hopped from foot to foot and kept his gaze on the straining airship...

Merrick very nearly dropped the wine glass he held and splattered wine all over his hostess at the glimpse of such powerful magic being wrought just outside the door. As a scholar of all things magical, this seemed to him the opportunity of a lifetime...
If the hostess was too stunned to take the glass of wine from him, or otherwise refused it, he hastily set it down on the nearest intact table and ran to the doorway beside the flailing Onion Knight to get a better view of the effects of this man named Roan's magic. While Merrick had not yet pieced together all that had occurred, he gathered that the vines were good and the airship was bad, and that the vines had acted in the woman Dune's defense earlier. He therefore revised his opinion of her to omit the "menace to society" bit.
Meanwhile, the horse Sasha was not at all happy to have all these trees and plants sprouting up inches from where she was tethered. Explosions she could deal with, even most minor magics couldn't shake her, but this was just a bit too much. The horse bolted, snapping the rope that tied her in place, and galloped to the only safe place within sight: through the doors of the temple.
Merrick was far too distracted observing Roan's magic to give much thought to his horse galloping by, and only absentmindedly whistled for Sasha to come to him. Hearing her master, plus the lack of any plants sprouting through the floor around her, seemed to calm the horse down before she caused too much damage. The black gelding came to a halt, turned around, and walked up behind Merrick, nudging him in the back as though to say 'here I am.'

Masa watched as Onion Knight ran past her towards the door. Quickly she followed, picking up Behebuncle before following Onion Knight. She cuddled the little green creature and then set him down beside the frantic Onion Knight. "Don't worry OK? Everything will be alr..." Masa trailed off as the ground began to shake. Her eyes widened, she couldn't believe what was happening to the forest. It was re-growing anew. Where there had been death before, there was brand new life. And it was all thanks to Roan, judging by the cheers coming from Onion Knight. She smiled a little. 'Maybe he wouldn't make such a bad boyfriend after all...' She thought.
(( scream *Slaps Masa* mad Get your priorities straight woman! lol ))

Roger took the glass in hand, with nary a word nor a glance at Merrick, as he puttered off to do something else. While vines attacked, forests regrew, and the building shook, he stared at the glass in his hand, swirling it around, looking at the color of the wine, sniffing at the bouquet, much as he had seen countless others do when he was... in his past.
He never was a drinker, never had touched a single drop of alcohol in his life, but with all this, the man slowly brought the glass to his lips, tilting it up slowly, and taking a long drink, emptying half the glass, before he lowered it, and set it on the ground beside him.
"Dune... I wish... I could do... something... anything for you..." he muttered to himself, as he head hung down, his chin against his chest as he tried to wait out this moment of chaos and uncertainty.

As the ground began to shake with a tremendous force, Mirror cried out a bit in shock as the plants and vinces began to strengthen and grow as if time were whipping by the two frozen bodies. To Mirror it was both a frightening and beautiful thing as the emerald plants, called forth by the druid, reached up into the sky like a thousand straining arms and grasped the ship tightly to suck it away from it's ascent. But, them being so close to the shaking and buckling ground was dangerous. They could be thrown to the ground or trapped in a crack, flung into the air or worse.
Without a moment's hesitation, Mirror called upon the chiming of bells within his mind, reaching forward and grasping Zayn tightly underneath his arms. With a couple beats of his small useless wings, the Al Sylian was lifting into the air away from the cracking earth.
"Zayn!" He asked his friend worriedly, a thousand possibities, a thousand choices waltzing in a crazy dance of decision in his mind, "What should we do?!"

((I don't think Mirror'd be able to lift Zayn, Storei. Zayn's not small and the reason he can't fly is because his wings can't support his body mass ^^;; ))
"I don't think there's much we can do," Zayn yelled back to Mirror, eyes glued to the spectacle above them. Despite the situation, a large grin split his face. "But I'm certainly glad to be here to see this!"
While he of course hoped that the vines would win, Zayn was just thoroughly enjoying the scene playing out before him. After all, how many people could say they'd witnessed something like this?

((sorry I havent posted. I've been in the hospital all weekend.))
The appearance of the Crystal Guardian relinquished Quinn of her desire to be free of Oura's restricting grip. Instead of fighting to get loose, she leapt bodily into Oura's arms, quivering like a Chihuahua. Ears folding down to cover her eyes, she gripped her tail, wringing it in her hands.
A low moan escaped her lips as she huddled further into Oura, trying her best to imagine that she was safe at home. The quaking room wasn't lending itself to this little daydream, however. Lifting one fluffy ear, she peered tentatively around the room, quickly wishing she had never opened her eye.
Sighing and steeling herself against whatever might come, she climbed down from Oura's arms and dragged her friend towards the door of the Hall, peering out around the doorframe at the giant ship hovering above.

kalindara ((I don't think Mirror'd be able to lift Zayn, Storei. Zayn's not small and the reason he can't fly is because his wings can't support his body mass ^^;; ))((XD, my bad. I was invisioning the adorable little Zayn in your siggu. Mirror, on the other hand, because his wings are too small to fly, uses his mind to fly.(Ancient historia thing/stoof) It doesn't really matter how large the people he's taking with him, it just matters if he's got enough concentration. One person should be alright for him, but two people are on his limits. Should I change it?))
Mirror bit his lip, watching the spectacle play out before them with wide golden eyes of worry and stunned amazement. Zayn was right. They were lucky to have been seeing such a sight as this, being part of such a historic event, but what could they do to change time's course? There was a sickening feeling in his stomach that told him the ship was going to wrentch itself free, but there was always a chance that it wouldn't.
With loss of thought, Mirror simply stared at the ship with a loss. What could they do?

((alright masa! you go get that druid! XDDD))
It had been a futile effort, she knew that, but at least she could say that she'd tried.
Running out of the temple, Kyada watched as the straglers made their way to the ship. As it start to take off, Ky heard someone shriek from behind her about the escaping thieves. "Can he really stop them?" she wondered, but not two seconds later the ground started to shake violently. The earth infront of her was ripped apart as trees, bushes, vines, and just about every other plantlife pushed their way to the surface. The trees and bushes were multiplying at an amazing rate forming an extremely dense forest. Vines were shooting into the sky and wrapping themselves around the ship, struggling desperately to anchor the fleeing ship.
Ky clenched her fists and quietly cheered on the vines, and the druid behind them. "Come on, you can do it! They musn't get away!! Come on!" Hearing the small creature beside her cheering as well Kyada smiled and continued, a little louder this time. "You can do it! Come on!!" she heard herself shouting, eyes tightly shut, fists clenched in front of her. There was no time to think of the things that would happen if the thieves got away. No, this just had to work!

Niva smiled, sipping the wine to calm her nerves as the black mist rolled out, the ground trembled, and everything seemed turned topsy turvy. She held the glass close to her lips, whispering something to herself the whole time it was going on. The words, the hum, had the sound of some sort of mantra, perhaps that was what was calming her?
Finally she stepped over towards Merrick, looking out at the struggling airship and the vines holding it more or less towards the ground. Her eyes looked over towards him, and then to his horse.
"We should cut it loose..." she told Merrick, "The airship... it probably has enough firepower on it to level the temple, and us, if the pilots get too irritated with this delay..."
"Do you have anything to cut it loose?"

Trying to keep a hold on Quinn while holding onto Fiore and Basape was hard work. She had the cat-like familiar under one foot while her hand tugged at a piece of Fiore's clothing. "This... is bad." she managed, relieved when Quinn released her hold but knowing it was only a prelude to insanity as she was dragged toward the door. "Careful!" she squeaked as the floor rumbled beneath her feet.
Basape shot onto her shoulder, twittering indignantly in her ear and watching with rage as the airship ascended. Fiore was red-faced with anger, but as a healing Elysian, Ourania knew she could do little in the current situation.

A loud tearing sound could be heard as the airship seemed to increase the energy output in which it was using. Slowly, it began to ascend into the air once more despite the hold upon it and with each foot it moved upwards the vines were torn asunder, flailing within the air before they unceremoniously fell do the ground in the similar fashion to a limp piece of rope.
Defeated, no other vines leapt up into the air in an attempt to prevent the airship from moving again and instead the Regalia was finally given grudging permission to leave the scene which it did and thus, promptly headed westward towards the city of Durem and perhaps even onwards - needless to say those who had been cheering the Druidic magic on were deeply disappointed.
"Well then," Onion Knight murmured quietly from within Masamune's grasp, his little legs finally halting in their kicking, "There is only one thing to do -" He glanced up at the one holding him and gave her a gentle tap on the hand with his own petite one, "If you would not mind Lady Masamune, I must make an announcement!" He chirped and motioned to the crowd.
"Ladies, Gentlemen and other Odd-bodies may I have your attention please!" He called out in a surprisingly loud voice...

The inner helplessness that Mirror was feeling with increasing distaste elevated to sudden and sad disappointment as the ship broke free from the vines and drifted into the sky. "No!" He cried out after the ship as if trying to halt the moving gargantuan with his voice, "Stop!" Mirror was about to take off into the air after the ship with the anger built within his chest as his wings when he heard a voice boom behind him. He turned, his brows knitted together and his fists clentched tight on either side of his hips as he listened to the Onion Knight.
