Raissen smiled at Adrian, glad to see a familiar face. He reached out with the small box in hand and let it slide into Adrian's. On the top was a simple tag tied to the ribbon with elegant writing. To Malachite, with our fondest wishes from the Chegrin family.
"I'm sorry for arriving unnanounced. Dian couldn't make it, he was detained, but he wanted me to sign the guestbook for him, if you have one." Raissen explained simply, charactertistically shy. Now, without anything in his hands, he wrung them lightly. Conservatively dressed, he was in a simple black tank with a long coat, and slacks. With his small rimmed glasses, he looked very professional.
Dark blue eyes flickered as he watched the people milling around, generally having a good time. It brought a gentle smile to his lips.

Aponi smiled gently at macyn, not fully understanding what he meant, but he did recognize that hte world was a cruel place and, in truth, there were very few people like malahite.
"He's one of the sweetest guys around, that's for sure." He replied.

"Thank you! I think you need a bit more color yourself though!" She fumbled with her can as it slipped, pressing the top quickly and catchign herself in the face. She sputtered, still laughing as she was caught in Sauda and Kilayla's sprays as well as her own. She whipped the can around and dashed back to spray the girls.
"oh? Why not? I just enrolled Jazzie in the one near here. She seems to like it ok." Dizzy looked down at her neglected cake. Jazzie hadn't said too much about how she was doing in school, but she came home happy everyday so Dizzy assumed things were going well.

Than had settled into one of the chairs in the dining room, waiting for Lucavi to come and find him. He'd grabbed another piece of cake and was delicately picking away at it when he spotted the preteen in the doorway. Calmly, he set his cake aside and continued sitting quietly, watching Lucavi and attempting to draw him inside the room just by looking at him.
"It's no trouble at all," Adrian assured Raissen, "thank you for coming! The guestbook is just over there." He pointed to the book in question, balancing the gift in his other hand. He spotted Rayen and Malachite behind him and passed the gift off to the feline. "Put that on the gift table, please?"
"'kay!" Rayen chirped, happy to be helping his guardian.
Malachite tried to glance around Adrian, but the man seemed to be doing all within his power to block the teen's view. And he was doing it on purpose, because he had that smirk on his face used only when he couldn't keep a straight face. "Adrian~" Mal whined.
"What~?"
"Who is it?"
"Who is who?"
"Behind you!"
"Behind me?"
Malachite narrowed his eyes. Adrian just snickered, and finally stepped away.

Macyn nodded, he could believe that. But everyone had there crule side even the ones who seemed like the sweetest person alive, he knew he'd seen it happen.
Handing the ribbon to Aponi. " Im not a pinata guy but you go for it." He said softly. Really it was just that he didn't want to be blind folded, even for a game.

The little banter brought a smile to his face. When Adrian finally stepped away, Raissen inhaled sharply as Malachite came into view. Even though he looked totally peeved, with narrowed eyes he was simply stunning, grown into an absolutely stunning teenager. That long green hair, lustrious and exotic, well kept framed his face. Raissen actually, was quite taken. "Happy birthday." Raissen said, stepping closer to Malachite. "And congratulations."

Once he laid his eyes on Raissen, Malachite felt himself flush red to his roots. His hands flew to his mouth, suppressing the same girly squeal he'd given at Aponi's arrival. "Raissen!" he gasped. "What are... I can't believe you came!"
In a bold move, Malachite reached out and hugged his childhood idol, and then just as quickly released him. He stepped back and grinned. "Are you able to stay for a little while?"

Lucavi locked eyes with Than, annoyed at the boy's demeaningly calm disposition. He didn't know why he was even wasting his time on the brat...he guessed it reminded him of hunting down, trapping, and fighting animals, just a very dulled down version, being in such a nauseating atmosphere. Yet the added factor of opposing human-level intelligence turned it into a different kind of challenge...so what was his next tactic?
Unfortunately, the advantage was to the opposition. This was the boy's territory far more than his, and he didn't know anything about the boy himself, other than that he was a blonde who seemed to enjoy aggravating him. He could tell that Than was trying to lure him into the room, but frankly, he couldn't really see what else there was to do anyways, so he took the bait and headed towards Than with a grimace.

Kiki squeeled again, which got drawn out into manic laughter. Watching Jazzie spray herself in the face was all too funny. She attempted to help Jazzie spray herself, and to get Sauda as well, but her can was empty.
In her furvor, she dropped the empty can on the floor and ran across the room, hopping onto a chair rather near Than, then turning, and sitting with her knees drawn up to her chin, and her arms covering her head. The force with which she'd made it into the chair rocked it off of it's front legs, but it landed back safely on all four. She went still and quiet, laughing just a little, and trying to be invisible.
~~~
Theif watched Kiki with a slight frown on his face. He thought breifly about hitting her, but no, of course he wouldn't actually do it. And, besides, this was a party, and she was supposed to be having fun.
To Dizzy, he said, "I dunno. She's really attached to her tutor, and she has weird sleeping habits. I'd like it better if she had her freedom. I went to a public school. Hated it." He began thumping his tail against the armrest of his seat again, watching the interaction between the guests. Theif's eyes slid to Adrian, and he hoped that the violet-haired man hadn't seen Kiki nearly kill herself and break one of his chairs in the process.
Than was quite pleased when Lucavi began stalking his way. A noise startled him, breaking his attention, as he turned to see one of the girls in a chair. She was covered with silly string, but didn't seem to have a can of her own. So, he did what any decent young man would do, and slipped one of his into her hand.
Sure, it put him at a disadvantage, but this was a lady. (Albeit a very young one.)
He then turned away from her, keeping an eye on Lucavi's advance.
Adrian was standing at the foot of the stairs, monitoring the three front rooms. Spyder still seemed to be asleep in the front room; people were milling about the entrance hall; and the kids seemed to have taken over the dining room. He noticed Kiki's dash to the chair, but didn't comment. So long as she wasn't hurt, it wasn't worth worrying over. He did wonder where his other children had run off to, but assumed that Hana, Soco and Kaleb were in the kitchen.
He figured he'd better keep an eye on Than and Lucavi, just in case.
That girly squeal caused a matching flush in the red haired adult. He muttered something incoherently and brushed his hair back behind his ears as suddenly Malachite grabbed him and pulled him into a hug.
He folded his long arms around the teen and returned it with unhidden affection. He'd always been fond of Malachite, and now...Now, he was a young man, really blossomed and grown into himself. Not to mention he was absolutely adorable. Raissen stepped back but let his warm brown hands run down Mal's arms before releasing him. His own grin was breaking on idiotic, but it was tamped down some. He nodded. "I was just going to sign the guestbook, but I wouldn't miss on any more of the festivities!"
"Ah! Awesome!" Malachite said, still grinning. He then paused, blinked, and glanced at Adrian. "Guestbook?"
"Guestbook," Adrian replied, pointing to the table near the door. The book was still lying there, open, with a pen resting on the last used page. "You'll have a chance to look through it, later, maybe after presents are done."
"Okay, cool!" Mal was practically bouncing with excitement, but as he turned to Raissen, he felt another shy spell coming on. "So... go ahead and sign the book, and then I can introduce you to a few friends?" he suggested. "And there's cake and all sorts of other things, if you're hungry."
Aponi gave Macyn a curious glance, he was already begining to establish the other's prsonality. He seemed very timid, perhaps a bit cynical, but he was nice. Or at least he hadn't been a jerk yet. And until then, Aponi was fine with him.
"You sure you want me to go for you?" He asked, looking at the ribbon in Macyn's hand, though it hadn't been disloged form the pinata yet. He carefully took it from the other's hand, giving it a gentle pull.
Macyn nodded. " Yea you have fun." He smiled watching then waited to see what would happen, he himselfwas timid but always thought himself friendly.
He knew when he fit in and when he didn't but tried to please everyone at the same time, as well as doing what felt right to him.
