Pacifica squeaked at the intensified pressure on her ear. Using her hind leg, she kicked the offending object. She pawed at her ear, trying to get free. Unintentionally, she bit harder into the tail in her mouth. Owwwww! That hurt!
Kagome looked astonishingly at Sesshomaru, "Of course I'll stay with you. Why wouldn't I?" It was natural for her to assume that their children would grow up with both parents, unless the unfortunate event of death occurred.
Touching his hand, she softly said, "I know you wouldn't let them... But don't hurt them. After all, they've..." done so much for us... Kagome finished mentally. Humans were the ones to take her in when she bewilderedly landed in this world. She owed them at least that much.
"Celestia?" Kagome questioned, "I know her." Looking at Sesshomaru hopefully, "She was the human who took me in. I don't think she'll take them away. I don't think she's that type of person..."
((Erm... I think I'll join the RP in a few posts. Once I figure out what to do...))

He heard her squeak and was about to bark at her and ask her if she was alright but before he could get his bark out, he received a very well placed kick. Shou was forced to release his new chew toy to growl at her and when she bit down harder onto his tail, he let out a yelp of surprise. He lay there for a moment, at the mercy of her teeth until he figured he had to get himself out of predicament himself since the bigger things seemed preoccupied by something else. He wiggled himself into position before leaning towards her and starting his new licking attack.
Sesshomaru glared at Kiyko; fighting the urge to growl at her when he heard Kagome's voice. He turned to her and tilted his head slightly at her.
"I did not know what you intended and whatever you chose, I wouldn't oppose it. If you wanted to stay with your human, I wouldn't have said anything. I had pictured living together... " He paused for a brief moment and turned away to return to glaring at Kikyo and the closed door behind her. "And as I said, I am pleased you will be staying with me."
He was slightly surprised that she was asking that he didn't hurt the humans but after turning to take a moment to stare at her and studying to gauge how serious she really was about the request, he nodded once; though somewhat reluctantly.
"You are far too nice for your own good." Sesshomaru sighed. "I will try and do nothing to your human Kagome if she comes here just to see our children but if you know her, then I hope you are right. I hope she will not take them away..."
Kiyko remained silent as she watched the two talking to each other. She was unsure if she should ask what she wanted to know but after listening to the two of them talk about living together and not hurting the humans, she sighed. She could no longer just stand by and remain quiet.
"What will you two do if the humans you know come to take any one of your puppies?" Kikyo asked slowly, looking first at Sesshomaru and then at Kagome.

((Aww... Sessho feels all warm and fuzzy inside... whee ))
Aha! Success! Pacifica thought, happily chewing on the tail. But her triumph was short-lived as Shou began to lick her. Giggling helplessly, she dropped the appendage in her mouth. She tried to wriggle away. That tickles!
Smiling softly at him, Kagome squeezed his hand gently. "Thank you, for staying with me and not hurting Celestia."
Looking at Kikyo, she asked, "Would we have a role in choosing who the puppy goes to?" If worse comes to worse, she wanted to know for sure that the puppy would go to a good home.
Elsewhere...
Celestia looked around confusedly. "I said I was going to look at the puppies... But I didn't ask where they were..." she mumbled. Whacking herself on the forehead, she thought drily, "Good job, man... Good job...." So began her quest to find out where exactly Kagome and the rest of the moonlits were...

Victory! Shou wiggled about excitedly the moment his tail was free and he readjusted himself so the thing he was licking to death would not have the chance to grab it again. He let out a triumphant bark and looked down at the thing and gave her a very smug puppy look as if saying 'Ha, I win'. He lifted his paw and pawed at her ears a few times before continuing to bark and lick at her.
Sesshomaru felt somewhat foolish for even voicing aloud that he thought they were not going to be staying together to raise their children; especially since he had promised. He managed to give her a small smile back and leaned towards her to brush the side of his face against hers.
"I gave my word I would stay with you. I intend to keep that promise..."
At the mention of the human coming to see them and the promise he had just made minutes ago, his slight smirk grew as he shrugged. "The only stipulation I have with remaining nonviolent towards your human Kagome is if she does not do anything foolish."
Kikyo had turned away from Sesshomaru and Kagome and was watching their children playing and fighting with one another already. Such a strange yet wonderful sight. She heard the other miko's voice and she had thought it was directed to the demon but, when she looked up at Kagome, she knew the question had been directed at her. Kikyo merely shrugged as she thought that over.
"I'm not sure. You could ask and see if its alright but it is your child. They cannot tell you both that you will have no decision on what happens...." She paused and the hint of a frown began to appear on her face. "The human's cannot do that right?"

Pacifica squirmed around, trying to escape the rasping tongue. Twisting around, she squinted and pounced on Shou. She barked, clearing conveying I got you now!, as she pinned him down by the shoulders.
Kagome felt him gently brush his cheek against hers. Although it was only an act of reassurance, her face warmed in response.
Tilting her head a bit, she said softly with a smile, "And what would you define as foolish?"
When she heard Kikyo's response, she touched Sesshomaru's sleeve. "Perhaps...perhaps we should just... ask them?"
Elsewhere...
"Starreh~ Where are you?" Celestia wailed, "A better question is...Where am I?!"

Kagome's ear twitched. "Ara? Sessho, I think I hear someone..."

For once, since the thing bit him, he was enjoying its presence until he suddenly found himself pounced upon and beneath her. He growled at their position and leaned towards her to try and n** at her nose; all the while giving her a look that he was not happy about this at all. He barked and began to wiggle about to free himself.
Sesshomaru's smirk grew somewhat and he shrugged his broad shoulders at her question. Now how exactly was he supposed to some of the vast of things he thought were foolish to him. Instead of probably setting her off with a few of the things on his list, he chose the one that made sense given the situation.
"There are far too many things on that list that I'll describe to you another time but for now, I would say she's already made one foolish mistake with thoughts of coming here to take one of our pups. So long as she's polite and respectful, there won't be any trouble at all." He flicked his tail and glanced down at Kagome's hand on his sleeve for a moment before he pulled his gaze from her hand back to her face again and nodding. "We should be able to ask." Or demand he thought to himself ((>__<)). "But are you alright about all of this Kagome?" He asked, lowering his voice as Kikyo was still in the room and ignoring the noises in the hall he was beginning to hear.
Kikyo's ears twitched and she glanced to the door and bowed her head. She could have sworn she heard something outside as well and it sounded like whoever was nearby had just wailed a very familiar name.
"They should be here soon..." She lifted her head towards the two. "Do you wish for me to leave?"
Starr rounded the corner with a small water gun in her hands. She was definitely prepared to deal with the demon lord she was stuck with. Poking her head around another corner, Starr waved excitedly and skipped from around the bend.
"Que? Celestia? What are you doing out in the hall?"

Ha! Girls rule and boys drool! she crowed. Pacifica gave him a smug look and nipped his ear.
Kagome arched an eyebrow. Somehow she wasn't surprised to hear that there were "far too many things on his list" of foolishness. She lowered her eyes at his question, "I don't like it at all... But if it must be done..."
Lifting her eyes up to Sesshomaru, she wondered. How far had they come from being adversaries to a pair of people trying to keep together their family.
Distantly hearing Kikyo's voice, she whispered "What do you think?"

Celestia turned around. It was almost as if her plea had been answered. "I can't find the room that Kagome and Sesshomaru are in. I heard from Kikyo that they had puppies!"

Shou glared up at the thing holding him down and yipped in protest to his ear being nipped.
Hey, stop biting me! He barked to her, lifting his paw and swinging it at he. He continued to wiggle about and was satisfied when he could position his back paws to try and push against her stomach and get her off of him.
"...Then it must be done." He finished for her, looking away as he did so. He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to agree with that but for her sake; their family's sake, he had to. "I'm not sure I enjoy the laws that these humans have here." Hearing all the barking and yipping coming through their pups, Sesshomaru looked down at Shou and Pacifica. "At least they are happy...although it seems I have to teach our son how to fight."
He watched them for a moment more until he felt her gaze on him. Turning his full attention back to her, he lifted his hand and brushed his claws against the side of her face gently.
"If I could stop all of this, I would... just to see you smile again. "
Kikyo's gaze remained glued on Kagome; the words the young girl spoke were clear enough as to what she wanted and she would comply with that. The fact that this was happening was her fault anyway.
"I know I have overstayed my welcome. Congratulations again." She rose and crossed the room to the door. She laid her hand on the door knob and hesitated. Glancing back over her shoulder at the family, she sighed and managed to give them a soft, somewhat distant smile. "I'm sorry..."
Without another word, Kikyo exited the room and started off down the hall to continue her wondering.
Starr shoved the water gun in her pocket and began to nod excitedly.
"Oh, I know! I heard that too on my way to the kitchen but I'm not sure if it's true or not. I didn't even know the two were um... together like that." She laughed and looked around the hallway and at the many doors. "I'm not sure where they're at but can I come with you? I've come well prepared..." She took out the water gun again and held it up in the air.

Pacifica giggled and licked his ear in apology. She giggled again as her brother wriggled around, tickling her in the process. Stop that... heheh... It tickles! she barked at him.
"Because men in the family tend to get beaten by girls?" she quipped, trying to ligthen the mood. Kagome gently nuzzled his hand and said, "Come rain, sleet or shine; we will be fine."
His words truly melted her heart. If it was possible, she would have melted into a puddle of squeeing goo at his feet. Intertwining their fingers, she gave him a squeeze and a soft smile, "Just being with you is enough."
She turned her head at Kikyo's voice. It was as if she had forgotten the priestess's presence. Her sad farewell made her wonder...
Tilting her head up to Sesshomaru, she asked, "Do you think...she's experience this too? Having a family?"

Celestia clapped her hands together, "I know, right? Maybe opposites DO attract." If that was true, would Zuko and Katara really get together on Avatar? Her mind trailed off a bit at the possibilities.
A door softly clicked shut. Brought back to the present, Celestia spotted Kikyo. She tugged on Starreh's shirt, "Hey, there's Kikyo. Do you think that room she just came out of is it?"

Shou was surprised when his sister licked him. First she was biting him, now she was licking him. Eh, he would take the licking over the biting but why did girls have to be so confusing? He stopped his wiggling when she barked at him and he stared at her, his bright green eyes confused for a moment before they filled with excitement and he continued to wiggle along with starting up a new licking attack approach again.
"I fail to see that as being possible. You haven't beaten me in anything." As much as she flustered him when they teased one another, he felt pleased that her mood was reutning to what he enjoyed when he was around her. Sesshomaru felt at peace; true and complete peace with their hands intertwined as they were and he let out a pleased growl. He brought her hand up and brushed his lips against the back of her hand. Looking up to her face, he noticed the smile he had wanted to see.
"Your smile; I'm pleased to see you smiling again." Her words registered in his mind and he lowered his voice slightly as he answered her. "And being with you, is all I seem to want now."
He had not noticed that the older miko had left until Kagome had brought his attention to it. He glanced about the room and noticed she was missing and he stared at the closed door; deep in thought by the question that was asked.
"I don't think she has experienced this. But she desires a family of her own..." He said, pulling his attention back to Kagome. "Has she always been such a lonely soul?"
"Oh, I can't wait to see what their kids look like. I'm so excited!" Even if it means facing a particular demon's wrath. Feeling Celestia pulling on her shirt, Starr watched Kikyo moving away from a door up ahead. Looking back at Celestia, she shrugged.
"It would have to be the room they're in. That's definitely not my room up ahead." Preparing her water gun, Starr nodded at Celestia and pointed at the door. "Alright, let's go check it out!" Starr stared at the door, took a step back and hid behind Celestia. "You first...I'm here for moral support!"

Pacifica giggled again as Shou's paws poked her sides. In retaliation to her licking, he began licking her. She tried her best to wriggle into a better position with no avail. Suddenly an idea came to her.
Using her nose, Pacifica flipped Shou onto his stomach and simply flopped on top of him. Panting happily at the larger things, she gave him a canine grin.
Kagome paused and looked wide-eyed at Sesshomaru. "Was that...a purr?" she questioned. He sounded just like Buyo! Maybe he really isn't a dog demon...? Suddenly the image of Sesshomaru wearing cat ears and going, "Nya~!" popped into her mind. She bit her lip to stifle her laughter.
"Ever since what happened with Inuyasha..." she replied softly. "His "betrayal" must have cut her deeply..." Deep in her heart, she sincerely wished the silent priestess to find her happiness in the future.

"Eh~ Why me?" Celestia grumbled. Moving silently, she crept closer to the door. From one of the pockets of her dark cargo pants, she extracted a small bottle.
"Thank God for isopropanol... " she muttered. She always carried the miniature bottle in case of an errant (and potentially dangerous) moonlit. The strong smell of rubbing alcohol was dizzying for a human; imagine how it would be for a being with excellent olfactory system. And in this case, Sesshomaru's further enhanced sense would work against him.
"Ready?" she mouthed to Starreh.

Lying there with his sister on his back, Shou was reduced to laying his head on his paws and letting out tiny little puppy growls of frustration at being defeated. Of course, he wasn't about to give up but for now and he began to think of a way to get himself out. Using his front paws, Shou began to pull himself forward to pull himself out and with each slight movement forward, he would bark and yip excitedly at the thought of being free from her.
"The miko will find her place in the world... as much as she can. At least, for today, I know that she was happy to help you." He replied after giving the door and the miko who had exited one last thought. Kagome's first words suddenly clicked in his mind and Sesshomaru stared back at Kagome just as wide eyed as she was looking him. Purr? What was she going on about now?
"Purr? You are such a strange girl. Do I even look like a cat to you?" He asked, tilting his head slightly to the side. He did not hate or dislike cats but they were creatures he could do without encountering and now he was being compared to one. Even though she was biting her lip, he knew she was laughing at some funny and probably just as frustrating thought. "And whatever do you find so amusing?" He asked as he leaned towards her and nipped her nose lightly as he knew she was laughing at him.
Starr followed Celestia as silently as she could manage. She held her water gun tightly and was prepared to attack if things got out of hand which she definitely hoped that they wouldn't. She looked at Celestia and nodded her head slowly.
"As ready as I can be." She mouthed back to her. "Let's get this show on the road."

Success! Pacifica crowed. But in the middle of her triumphant announcement, she yawned. Ignoring her brother's attempts to escape, she snuggled into her canine pillow.
Sleepy... It appeared that all the recent activity had drained her energy. When Shou continued to inch out from under her, she adjusted her position and poked him. Stop moving so much she growled sleepily.
"Since you're not denying it... it was a purr?" Kagome asserted.
Biting the side of her cheek, she asked, "Do I really have to answer that one?" Mentally, she began to tick off the rather cat-like qualities: feline grace and agility, a cat's love of privacy, slitted eyes, and stripes (she couldn't recall any dog breed with stripes)... If it wasn't for the fact she had seen his actual youkai form, the evidence was pretty convincing.
For some odd reason, his expression made her explode into laughter. Peals of mirth escaped her lips as she tried to best to quell them.

Silently, Celestia nodded and gripped the door knob. A sudden explosion of noise from the other side of the door made her jump. It sounded like someone was being attacked! Perhaps Sesshomaru wasn't pleased about his hanyou offspring and attacked them?!
Quickly flinging open the door, Celestia darted into the room. "What happened? Is everyone okay?"

Shou heard his sister's growl of warning and finally, after only managing to pull himself out a little, he gave up and laid there. He growled occasionally and would twist his head to look at her and give her a puppy glare or two.
This really sucks... He thought to himself. He attempted to roll over onto his back so he could lick at his sister again to see if this time his licking attack would free him. He jumped when he heard an unfamiliar voice and began to whimper. He definitely didn't like feeling startled.
"If you must call it something, perhaps you can call it a purr however, to me, I would call it an extremely satisfied growl." Sesshomaru took in her amused expression and shook his head at her. "And don't answer that question or call me a cat" He paused and half heartily bared his fangs at her. "The young miko doesn't want to get in trouble now does she?"
He watched her as she struggled the best she could to keep from laughing at him. Sesshomaru shook his head and after trying to look somewhat intimidating towards her, he gave up completely. Women. He began to think more and more each day he was around Kagome that he never wanted to truly understand them. He heard rushed footsteps towards the door and he rose at once to stand in front of Kagome and the pups; his eyes narrowed and form tense as two human girls rushed into the room. "Who are you?" He demanded, holding back the urge to toss them promptly back out the room and disturbing them.
The moment Starr heard the noise from the other side of the door, she paused for a moment and frowned as she concentrated on what the noise behind the door was. She recognized it once as someone amused by something but that realization came far too late.
Glancing towards Celestia to tell her what she thought that noise was, Starr simply stood there; frozen to the spot as Celestia rushed into the door frantically.
"Wait Celes- " She began but was cut off by Celestia flinging the door open and beginning to ask questions. Recovering, Starr rushed after her with her water gun held poised and ready to fire. "Oh crap, this isn't good at all. Please, please, please don't kill us!" She cried, coming to stand beside Celestia.

Flicking her ear, Pacifica snuggled in a bit more, completely ignoring Shou's glares. Unfortunately, her rest was disrupted when the door banged open and collided with the wall. Yelping, the azure puppy burrowed her face into her brother's fur.
Kagome gave him a broad grin. The mental images were enough to keep her going for the next few days. "I won't," she promised while mentally adding I'll just think it. The thought caused another devious smile.
They had come far from the day the met each other in his father's tomb. If she acted in this manner back then, he probably wouldn't hesitated to swipe her head off and melt her remains.
Her head whipped around at the sound of the door crashing open. "Eh?" Peering around Sesshomaru's protective form, she asked, "C-celestia? What are you doing here?"

Oh snap.
That was the first thought in Celestia's mind when she experienced first-hand the force of Sesshomaru's glare. It was quickly followed by, He's going to punt my head/body out that window like a football... Did I write my will yet?
She caught the door before it hit her in the face when it bounced back. Clearing her throat nervously, Celestia meekly mumbled, "Eh heh heh heh... Sorry about that..."
