Artemis looked up at him with watery blue eyes, no longer sage, and locks of dark brown hair, alittle longer in lenght. "Yes, I changed." She said, the words bitter. The Nalima had sensed conflict and it's head was poking out from the border of the stable door, it's shrill shrieks pounding on her eyes now. Artemis still leaned on the door, and held her chest to regain a normal breathing pattern. The Nalima, still swaking, turned to nug her and she turned to it. "Be SILENT!" She said, and the beast shut it's trap quickly. Her eyes settled back on him, and her face dropped to dull indifference as she situated herself. I should of used you as a host. She thought, but turned to a fake smile. "I'm sorry. I should of warned you. Are YOU okay?" She asked in a honey coated voice.

Kitasu nodded at Kai's story, and grimaced when the Namila outside started up again. She opened her mouth to say something, but the words fell dead along with the beasts' shrieking. She smiled appreciatively and straightened up, looking towards the door as Ketlin walked out. "Hmm, he's not coming in. Ah, well, I might just go to bed anyway. I'm not sure I'd sleep if that noise starts up again, though." She turned back to the bartender. "How long you been runnin' this place?"

You explained a little of your muse powers to me, remember? I'm sorry that I was careless. It was stupid of me, and I don't expect you to forgive me. Is there any thing I can do for you? As long as it doesn't interfere with taking care of Ketlin..." Speaking of which, Ketlin was headed towards the barn trailing Sortha. Artemis was able to see the two of them approaching, but Hitori's back was to them. The two were not in hearing distance quite yet.

Her heart jumped as her eyes trailed past Hitori's shoulder and at the small figure of Ketlin. The welp of guilt along with the swirling emotions still lingering like a iron cannon ball in her gut made her head spin. "I'll remember that." She said and passed by him, walking past the boy and going inside the inn, up to the security of her room and locking her door.

"I close down when nobody but drunks are left and open when not a soul would think of comin' in. I'll be here if ye need to wake up, but mind ye I need to get sleep, too." Greff said with a smile. "But ye probably be awake sometime in the evening when there will be plenty o' people."

"There you are!" he said with a smile, even though he was worried about Artemis. "Have you had breakfast?" he looked to Sortha for an answer to that one, since Ketlin did not speak very often. The boy held his arms out and let himself be picked up by the older man.

Greff offhanded an answer to the cost of the room. He picked up another mug and started polishing it. "If you want to buy a few nights at once I can cut you a deal and you can givve me half now and half at the end of the few days."

The gentle creak of the floor boards where irksome as she paced back and forth in her room. Not only was she now limited to conversation, since she basically alienated herself, but her body was different ONCE AGAIN!! Though all fibers in her body wanted to leave, she knew it was impossible. Her Nalima was indisposed after the last attack, and she couldn't ride any other beast unless she wanted to turn into a pile of hay or a cow or something of that nature. Artemis would walk, but then she'd never outrun 'them', and leaving a Nalima would be like letting Godzilla loss in Japan. So, being bored and heavy headed, she picked up her violin and started to play. What else could a muse do to let go of some things?

"Well, I didn't have breakfast," he answered congenially and headed back inside. "Have you? What's good this morning? They do...serve breakfast here, don't they?"

Kitasu nodded. "Yeah, I'll be staying here for.. oh, about three days." After figuring out the proper price, she paid the bartender in the common coin and waited for a key.

Kitsuta Kitasu nodded. "Yeah, I'll be staying here for.. oh, about three days." After figuring out the proper price, she paid the bartender in the common coin and waited for a key. Greff took the money and deposited it in the appropriate place nextt to his beloved cludgel before turning around and selecting the right key from inside a smal, key-filled box. It was a long black iron key with a tag and string. The tag named the room number to which the key belonged to. Greff turned around and handed the key to his newest tenant and smiled. "There ya go. It should be all ready for ye to get some shut eye with. See you in a few." Greff said as he took up the most recently cleaned glass and continued polishing it.
