There is only one girl in the percussion section at my high school. All the boys make fun of her, but they kinda have a reason. She's one year older than most of them, but they're better than she is. She doesn't realize this, though, and she tries to boss them around.
We also had one boy in the flute section. He's really cool.

Scheissenkopf WE have an all girl drum line and an all guys pit, which is kinda flippped -blink blink- Snares too? eek rofl That's hilarious. I'd at least think there'd be one guy! I'm snare, and we have four of us. I'm the only girl. In bas line, there's only one guy. Both our tennors are guys too. We have both girls and guys in our pit. I was in pit last year. It's cool.

I'm the only girl in the tuba section! D: Sometimes in band, our band director makes the whole band gives massages to their section people, and all the guys are like, "Come here Pacience." And it creeps me out. T__T

At my school I'm the only girl tuba player...I play during concert season and I also march. I get dogged down by other the other sections, but the guys in my section respect me because I have a "shoulder of steel". They also say I remind them of this one girl they used to have there named Tessa. They started calling me 'Little Tessa' not to long ago.....

Traditionally I guess my section is mainly male...'twas made quite obvious at initiation...but there's been a lot more girls in the last few years I guess. I know this year we have 5 new female trumpets...woot. So like 10 out of 44 are girls now...
...I feel bad, there's one guy in the flute section and I think two in the clarinet section...that must be awkward on the bus...
