[- Crystal -] mrsjordison who's old enough to vote in the may election and who are u voting for? I'm old enough. 3nodding I'm not sure who I'll vote for, but it sure as hell won't be for the damn liberals who screwed over post-secondary students. Asshats. scream I know man. Lol, did anyone see the political debate between the leaders? Man, all Gordon Campbell did was spew out bs (as always). Carole James of NDP mentions the increases in tuition --> Campbell says they actually increased funding for students. James points out the cutbacks in police force against drug problems --> Campbell says they actually increased funding for the police. See a pattern here? Yeah, I'm definitely not voting the Liberals because of the post-secondary issue...I never supported Gordon Campbell anyway. I might be leaning toward the NDP, but we'll see. wink

mintymoon schoogie so who here has heard about Jumbo Ski Resort? do you think they should make it?? its near where i live, but i think it would be good for our community. No no no no and NO! I also live very near and I think it is an AWEFUL idea. I shocking like...92% of locals are against it and they still are trying to build the thing. We have Pano, we dont need another ski resort! Not to mention we have Heli skiing if that's what you're looking for, and if you dont like Pano, go to fairmont, or fernie, or Kicking Horse, or or or. It is not necessary, we do not need to destroy more natural hibitat than we already have. In those stupid panflets they send in the mail they say 2. TWO. Bears live in that area. That is complete and utter bullshit. They'd have to do a 20 year study to determine that kind of thing. [/imense frustration] Our communites (yes, plural) already have a booming tourist industry in the summer and winter. I know the tourists are our main industry, but we don't need more people clogging the streets. There are already more hotel rooms in my town than houses. That's just sad. And on another note, Jumbo is way too far to be entirly plausible. It's 55km outside Invermere, nearly 40km past Pano! That road is a nightmare as it is. The proposed area for development is 6000 hectares. More than double the amount of hotel rooms Pano has, 23 ski lifts (why the hell do you need 23 ski lifts?), a shopping mall (invermere doesnt even have a shopping mall), even churches! Not even to metion it's going to cost a near half BILLION dollars. Which could be better used a lot of other places if you ask me. (Can anyone say HEALTHCARE?) JUMBO WILD!YAY! i enjoyed your rant, it made me happy NO JUMBO!! surprised

cool green party all the way cool I'm old enough, and I intend on voting for the Liberals, simply because I do not like NDP. For me, it's a lesser of two evils thing. I really don't like any of my options.

i don't care if it means that maybe they won't get in for the first few elections. if i'm part of the minority then i'm part of the minority.
