My first oboe was rented from the school board and I named it Joe(while at band camp...I blame Christa). I had that oboe for almost four straight years until they made me give it back. Now I have my very own oboe(it only cost 200$) and it's name is Walter. The band room door is named Alvin...I blame me.... biggrin

My tuba's name is Charlie Rockefeller. I'm not sure why... but the ones I used when I was at my old school were: 7th grade: Fruss (Pronounced Froose) 8th grade: Slick (Sousaphone: Checkers) 9th grade: Ezekiel
And I named my friend Jason's tuba MoOsey.
And the conductor's baton's name is "Pointed Stick"

I can neve bring myself to name my saxophone. Whenever I get the thought of creating a name I always put the name in context. "Well, time to go practice with *insert name here*". That doesnt sound so bad...well..... "After blowing *insert name here* for so long, my muscles were weak and shakey... I was dizzy and confused. Who knew that *insert name here* could give you such a pleasing feeling. Relieving you of your most dearest emotions and feelings.".......yeah.....

Wow....I thought I was the only person that named my instrument..XD Hardly anyone in my band at school actually named theirs...Oo;
Flute: Windy - only because she mostly plays just air...>>; Trombone: Xavier aka Bazooka - just because there are days when band geeks act like their in a war and we use our instruments like wapons...=3 Piccolo: Skweaky ContraBass Trombone: Dragon aka Sniper
I guess you can imagine what goes on sometimes during practice and school...XD

I didn't name my baritone. It wasn't worth getting named. My friend named her oboe ducky.

I named my carrier.....We got new carriers for the drumline one year and I've dubbed it The White Lobster. (Pearl carriers) But then I switched to pit, so now my baby is the perdy maramba. I call her baby. So perdy.

kig I didn't name my baritone. It wasn't worth getting named. My friend named her oboe ducky. I was going to name my oboe Quack, but my friend said that I was a hobo with an oboe, so I thus dubbed my oboe, forever more, Hobo Bobo the oboe. sweatdrop xd

Hey! My french horn's full name is Marta's Horn because my cousin(the origianal owner) wrote this on the handle. I usually just call her Sweety or Babe.
There is also a Tuba in my highschool band hall called Tidy Whity (another turm for white men's brief whee ) but it's real name is Mighty Whity becaues it's a big white fiberglass Tuba!( Man! that thing is as old as our band!)
