All_I_Ask_of_You My school is doing a Pirate show. It's not POTC. We don't have a name for it yet. sweatdrop Any suggestions?
*sniffles* My last year to be in marching band, for high school. This year I know is going to rock. *dances*

We haven't gotten all the sets down for the last song, Cantus and ADIEMS, we're tagging ADIEMS and considering it part of Cantus. The whole band is thinking that there is going to be this pirate fight between the band, pom and colorguard. I'm hoping we do because our director hasn't said anything about it.
Oh and our drill is one of a kind. Our director wrote it. He started writing the drill since school ended for us, which was in June or maybe earlier.
I think that is the music our director is looking at for next year! I think so because it sounds familiar and that is the website he showed us (section leaders) and we are doing mangione from the arrangers publishing (with a few of our own edits because it is too long)

princessdianagreenleaf Our show is called Origami...it is so cool we've been working on it for two weeks now...I am so exited...we're definatly goinf to State Finals this year Hmm...I think that's the same one we're doing? I mean, it's some Origami show, so yeah. Except I can't really say if it's good or not, because I haven't done this stuff before.

This year our show is called...
Ritual
Part One - The Search
Part Two - Acceptance
Part Three - Sacrifice
We sacrifice someone. At the very end of the show, we kill the 'Chosen One' and bow towards the altar.
It's so much fun. ^^
We also get to go "OOOOOOHAAAH!" at one part.
I like having a slightly derranged band director and drill writer. biggrin

T i f a La Nouba: Cirque Du Soleil. The songs are Distorted, Reve Rouge, A La Lune, and Urban. Our drill writer from this year returned and he's with Phantom Regiment. wow...yeah...we are doing that one too...we had some other guy...but now we have a guy who was in blast...this years field show is going to be wicked!!!! mrgreen

red dream We're doing the French-Canadian Circus De Olay show- La Nouba. The music so rocks. ots cuirque du soliel...but it issweet none the less...I conducted it last night...i screwed up...but it was really good...so wicked...

My school has a new marching band director. Well, not really new, but she's retaking control of the marching band. So we're doing field shows like colleges do. We have four different themes, the first was 50s music, the second is a spy theme, and then she's been puting off picking the other two, so we don't know them yet. sweatdrop But even though it's still fun, I miss being competitive. We're not doing field competitions anymore and that makes me sad. T.T

We're doing a country-western sort of deal. Ring of Fire, by Johnny Cash, a super gay "Cowboy Medley" that no one's ever heard of, Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy by Big & Rich heart , and The Devil Went Down To Georgia by Charlie Daniels. Yeah, those impossible runs played by the violin in the song? Now officially a trumpet part. I'm going to kill myself.
Later this year we're doing 80's music. Another super gay Micheal Jackson medley, Dr. Feelgood, Take On Me, and some other 80's song.

We have all King Kong music. Our first part is King Kong Opener, then Beautiful, then King Kong Finale. Trust me the music is at least better than the movie.

Never have I heard anything from rent actually SUNG... but the drama club at my school likes it WAY too much. I will never again forget how many minutes are in a god damn year. Lol. But man, I'd like to light your cand--- I mean, play that show. Haha, well believe it or not we actually sing it. x D

We placed 2/3 at our competition this morning, but we got Best Marching and Best Guard in our division. We were the only ones in all divisions with twirlers. It was cool.
