Shikora MjoliOnce more, Shikora attempted to tap out a message to her sibling, attempting to get it to send. ... Nothing. Tap to retry. With a sigh, Shikora placed her phone back in her pocket for the moment. If she had no signal, there was no point in attempting to use it. She had a bigger problem, here. For one, the increased sounds of panic around the room. She heard shouting, she heard worry, she heard stress, she heard the sounds of someone attempting to slam something into a door that was clearly locked-- It was hard to hear, but Shikora could tell that people were starting to lose their calm. She came to her feet, debating approaching the situation at the door. It was quite possible that more people there would just cause a bigger issue. If some of what was causing people to panic was the number of people crushing into one location, another person wouldn't help. Shikora slipped the phone back out of her pocket, flicking her flashlight on. Perhaps she could get a better view of things and figure out who she could help if she just--

Cassiopeia LyonsShe kept moving, the light of her phone sweeping back and forth across the hall but there was no sign of the glass she'd heard shattering a moment before. Which was strange on it's own, but add to it the lack of emergency lights kicking on and the suspicious lack of employees moving around checking on the folks in the rooms. And what the ******** was that shuffling sound? The hall turned, and at the end she found a door. A twist of the handle showed it unlocked, and Cassie slipped inside, casting her light around curiously. "Hello?"

Alphonse Wingates-St. GreyHe smiled at Ian as he introduced himself. Having people who were willing to adopt him into their little group made him happy for a moment. He really didn’t like being alone. Especially in the dark. He was so easily freightened. It was quite unbecoming of an adult. But here he was clinging to his new group closely as they moved about in the clinic. In the dark. ✪

There is another crack, like breaking glass, coming from closer this time. If Cassie proceeds a little further down the dark hallway, she will see a second set of double doors, currently closed, at the very end.
She may try to open them, but the handle seems to be a little stuck...

Toren Estel He was loosing it amd he knew it. Every part of his mind and body shook amd screamed to escape and his heart was hammering so quickly he felt like he'd pass out. The sound of others following him caused him to decide not to stay in the bathroom stall forever. Once he was left with nothing to throw up, he left the stall and looked at the strangers there.
"Let's...check the windows." Because he couldn't say he was fine.
After washing his face in the sink, he walked out only to see any people going through a room behind the desk. A way out?! He followed the group.

Dessie flinched slightly at Ian's voice, she was more focused on the darkness and what was possibly there then she was of her companions. Out of the four of them only her and the guy who was already having a mental break down seemed to have heard the scream but the kid, Alphonse, had seen something earlier. "This is like some ******** up haunted house," she muttered to herself as the small group followed the only person who hadn't been mentally stable enough to actually introduce himself into, or at least right outside, of the bathroom. Dessie had gathered enough mental fortitude to let go of Ian, with a quiet apology, as their little Scooby Gang settled in the bathroom as the one guy ralphed up his lunch. The three boys were in the bathroom really while she was at the door, the door jam mostly. It wasn't exactly a spot where she was meant to go not that it would have stopped her, but they needed someone 'outside' to keep a watch on everything... and to try to listen for any more screams like that last one. The blonde shifted to the side slightly when she heard someone coming out behind her, her brow rising slightly when she realized it was the nervous wreck who had apparently gotten his s**t together somewhat...... or maybe not! "Hey," At first Dessie's call was a little weak as she started to reach out to snag the guy's arm or something. He was heading towards an open door behind the reception desk. That most definitely wasn't a way out! "Hey!" Why was she chasing after him? She didn't even know this guy! Damn it. She knew that out of the four of him he was likely the 'weakest' of them since he really seemed to have a mental break since he had just gone from trying to smash a door open to happly wandering deeper into the clinic. "Will you stop for one damn minute!" Sleet Tempest Snape See Ian, this is why you go to accredited hospitals only XD MoonKitsune Dessie still has no idea what to call your boy XP Meighei Following the leader... the leader... the leader rolleyes

Cassiopeia LyonsCRACK! Cassie yelped, jumping back and flattening herself against the wall before the shooting pains in her side made her freeze, groaning as she clenched her teeth and cursed herself for being so god damned jumpy. It was the darkness, or at least that's what she told herself. Nevermind the traumai] she'd been subjected to only a week or so prior. She was far too tough to let a little ting like that get to her. Right. Breathing carefully, irritation with herself and the situation growing, she pushed away from the wall and continued down the hall towards a pair of double doors. Fingertips on the wood, she peered through the little window, brows arched as she noticed the single dim light shining far down the hall. There there was light there'd be people, right? The logic seemed solid enough. Problem was, when she went to open the door the handle stuck. Not quite like it was locked, but not far off. She jiggled it, growling softly under her breath. "Oh come the ******** on!" How much more was gunna go wrong tonight?

The door underneath Cassie's fingers almost gives way. As she tries to jiggle whatever is keeping it stuck free, something moves down at the end of the hallway. At first it seems like just a trick of the light, but then, as the single dim bulb flickers unsteadily, a shadowy figure emerges from the dark - and for a fraction of a second, Cassie can see -

It would have been fabulous if she'd been healed up enough to have been able to effectively throw her shoulder into the door. It sort of moved as she yanked on it and jiggled the handles. Enough so that she thought a good muscling would force them open. However, the space of time between one handle jiggle and the next Cassie happened to notice something there through the doors that hadn't been there a moment before, and it caused her to pause. Turning back to lay her hands on the glass, she rose up on hr tiptoes and pressed her nose against the window, squinting for all of a second. And then screaming as she jerked away from the doors.

The thing at the end of the hall pauses; what Cassie can see of its head cocks, as though it senses that there is something - or someone - watching it. It is shrouded in shadows, melting into the darkness, and entirely still for a fraction of a second.
And then, slowly, it turns it's head and

Brodie's laughter only become more hearty after the lights went out.
This had to be a ********' joke, right? It was October after-all. Not quite as close to Halloween as he'd expect for a practical joke, but Brodie was totally down for whatever it was that was going on. In fact, he wanted in on it.
"Hey man, if we're gonna cause some s**t I want in," he bellowed with a hoot and slapped a knee. Again, to no one. What a great night.
Except for the fact that there was some dude screaming about someone coming to get them. Why was everyone so freaked out over a little power outage? When he was a kid the lights being out was the coolest thing- and now a room full of adults were ready to cry because they had to sit in the dark for a few minutes? What a buzz kill.
He pulled his own phone out of his pocket, turned the flashlight on with the swipe of a finger (or a few very trying swipes), and angled the light up under his chin. He started making what he assumed were some super funny and scary faces to lighten the mood. But really mostly for himself because what the hell else was he gonna do stuck in a room with a bunch of whiny scaredy cats that weren't any fun?
When he got bored of that, he thought maybe he'd make some shadow puppets on the wall or something. But then the screaming conspiracy theory dude went running to the bathroom to vomit and so the buzz was officially killed.
Now he just wanted to get out so he could get back to whatever it was he was doing before he got here.
Wait.
Why was he here again? He started to snicker to himself and shrugged at his own question.

She was about to tell him her name when she noticed a poor girl clinging to his leg. Her head tilted slightly to look down at her, her lips settling into a deep frown.
Felicity felt absolutely terrible for her. She was here all alone, in her condition?
No signal, he told her. Really?
She glanced down at her own cell phone that she hadn't realized she was gripping quite so tightly in her hand. When did she get so nervous? She must be feeding off of the energy in the room, she realized.
